On the RV.
"Why did you go to the grassroots level, Mrs. Chairman?" Shan Song asked as she set out the food for Tong Zhao and sat down beside him, serving him food as she spoke.
"Why are you still saying that?" Tong Zhao poked his waist in protest.
After protesting, he obediently replied, "It reminded me of when I was an extra. There were several alumni there, which felt quite friendly, so I chatted with them for a while."
Dan Song guessed that was the reason, and with a smile, he said, resting his chin on his hand, "Our Zhao Zhao is now a senior who can care for his juniors."
"..." I had the illusion of being praised for finally growing up.
If it weren't for the fact that they hadn't seen each other for so long, Tong Zhao would have missed her husband terribly and really wanted to throw a little tantrum right now... But now that they were both so busy with work, and had finally managed to squeeze out some time to meet, Tong Zhao pursed her lips and clearly moved closer to Shan Song.
Seeing his wife's clingy little gestures, Shan Song couldn't help but soften his heart: "I'll stay with Zhao Zhao today, and we'll leave tomorrow afternoon."
Tong Zhao's eyes lit up, and she even considered whether she could ask for a few hours off, but her expression quickly fell again. The scenes in the past few days were all large-scale scenes with so many extras. The director had emphasized that the outdoor scenes here needed to be completed quickly, otherwise every extra day would be a waste of money. Shan Song certainly didn't need the money, but Tong Zhao felt bad about it, and it wasn't appropriate to ask Wei Hong for special treatment.
"Aren't you happy that I'm accompanying Zhao Zhao to work?" Shan Song sensitively sensed his wife's emotions and deliberately asked, "You won't let your husband see such good acting?"
Tong Zhao's pupils reflected the gentle expression of the person beside her, and her eyes rippled with emotion. Then she heard Shan Song speak: "Zhao Zhao used to spend a lot of time with me at the company. So it turns out only Zhao Zhao is allowed to accompany me? How domineering~"
Despite the "domineering" label stuck to her forehead, Tong Zhao composed herself, put down her chopsticks, took a deep breath, sat up on Shan Song's lap, stared at him for two seconds... then closed her eyes and buried her head in Shan Song's neck.
I still can't quite project that domineering aura...
Tong Zhao sighed quietly. Not everyone could learn A-Li's skills. Just looking at Shan Song's smiling eyes made his mind go blank, and he couldn't remember what the next step was...
His wife's rare attempt to "stand up" ended in failure. Shan Song wrapped his arms around the slender waist of the person in his arms, his chest heaving, and his laughter was undisguised.
"..." Do you have to laugh so loudly?
After a while, sensing that someone had finally stopped teasing him, Tong Zhao slightly raised his head and tried to change the subject: "Your company is so busy, how come you had time to come today?"
"I'll be going abroad on my next business trip, and if I don't come back soon, it'll be a long time before I see you again." Shan Song reached out and wiped the oil stains off Tong Zhao's face. "Also, I miss my wife."
Upon hearing this, Tong Zhao lowered her eyes, twisted her body, and pressed herself even closer to Shan Song, her voice muffled: "I miss you too."
"There will be plenty of time in the future," Shan Song said, gently placing his hand on Tong Zhao's head to comfort her.
Tong Zhao gave a soft "hmm" and asked him, "Will you experience jet lag when you go abroad?"
"It's about 12 hours, no problem, it won't affect our usual contact time. When I'm tired from work during the day, I can watch Zhao Zhao sleep and livestream, which is a way to relax."
Who is so relaxed... Tong Zhao was both amused and exasperated, but then he quickly thought, if that's the case, wouldn't he be able to supervise Shan Song's rest during his daytime filming breaks?
"Okay." Tong Zhao nodded readily.
Dan Song was a little surprised, but seeing his wife smiling so beautifully, he didn't ask any more questions. Looking at the still-leftover food on the table, he said, "Won't you eat some more? I'll keep you company."
"Okay." He said, trying to get off Dansong's legs, but before his feet even touched the ground, he was grabbed around the waist and hugged.
?
Dan Song, in a side-hugging position, leaned close to Tong Zhao's nape and took a deep sniff. Tong Zhao thought he was going to mark her, so she reached out and grabbed Dan Song's collar, tilted her head to a position where it would be easier for him to bite, and openly exposed her glands to Dan Song's eyes.
After waiting for a long time without any movement, Tong Zhao was about to urge him when he felt a small, cool touch on the thin skin of the back of his neck, which disappeared in an instant.
The breath that followed was unusually hot, and Shan Song's slightly hoarse voice sounded close to his ear: "Mark me again tonight."
"oh."
Why does that tone sound a little disappointed? Shan Song pulled back a little and chuckled, "Good girl, I'll make it up to Zhao Zhao tonight."
After a short rest at noon, it's time to start filming the afternoon's scenes.
Dan Song sat on the small stool where Tong Zhao was resting, watching his wife filming on stage with great interest.
Tong Zhao's work mode is different from how she usually is with Shan Song. She is focused and gets into character in a second. During breaks, she can also give guidance to her co-stars, listen to the director's instructions, and share her insights on the script, which earns her frequent nods and appreciative glances from the director.
Dan Song was overjoyed, and his smile made the temperature around him rise a few degrees. The staff who had been cautiously treating this big boss breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this. After all, it was hard for anyone to feel nervous towards an "old father" whose eyes were full of the joy of "my son has grown up".
Shan Song didn't notice that the crew's attitude towards him had subtly changed. Afraid of affecting Tong Zhao's performance, he deliberately stayed away from the filming location, but after watching for a while, he felt inexplicably strange.
He noticed that his daughter Zhaozhao's performances at the Shanghai Theatre Academy were largely undisturbed by outside interference; at least so far, she hadn't even given her husband, who was visiting the set, a single glance in two whole hours...
This is probably the professionalism of an actor. The nature of their work is different; actors need more focus. Dan Song pursed his lips, so Zhao Zhao is just too serious about her work. Young people should focus on their careers...
The director was shouting something into the walkie-talkie, but Shan Song was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't quite catch it until Tong Zhao's joyful voice rang out above him: "Husband!"
Dan Song looked up and saw his wife had run over at some point, her face beaming with a bright smile. Her mouth opened and closed, and her voice was filled with intense joy, which made the corners of his mouth turn up slightly as well. Dan Song looked at her with a smile, not quite understanding what Tong Zhao was saying.
Seeing the man staring blankly, Tong Zhao waved in front of him, raised her voice a little, and said excitedly, "I'm done filming, now I can rest!"
"Um?"
My wife, nestled in my arms, murmured happily, "Today went exceptionally smoothly. We only managed to secure one win in the last scene. I was hoping to finish filming early so I could spend more time with you, but it turned out that not a single person messed up. It seems like your luck has improved."
Shan Song understood, and his smile deepened. Ignoring the subtle stares around him, he lifted Tong Zhao up and said, "Then let's go back and keep Zhao Zhao company."
