Chapter 12
It was a four-hour drive to the farm. At first, Xi deliberately slowed down so that Fang Chen could enjoy the scenery nearby. However, it didn't take long before Fang Chen, who had just been excited, quickly lost his happiness and began to yawn.
After a while, he tilted his head and fell asleep.
If he wasn't driving, Sis would have wanted to turn his head over and let him lean on his shoulder.
After eating, I slept, and when I woke up, I arrived. Fang Chen felt a little guilty. With his messy hair, he smiled at Xisi ingratiatingly, "You've worked hard and drove for such a long time."
Sis glanced at the sleep marks on his cheeks and said meaningfully, "I'm not tired."
He seemed to always be obsessed with the boy's black hair. He reached out and helped him to comb his bangs twice. The bangs were a little long and touched his eyelashes, which made Fang Chen blink a few more times.
“Bang bang!”
Someone knocked on the car window twice.
Fang Chen was startled and turned his head suddenly. Outside the car window was Joey's big face.
They are all here.
The boy turned his head, and Sis's hand fell empty. He glanced at Joey coldly, and Joey immediately withdrew his head in embarrassment. But Fang Chen had already opened the car door and got out.
"Have you arrived already?"
Joey looked past Fang Chen and glanced at Xisi, who looked unhappy behind him. He touched his head and laughed, "Just arrived."
Fang Chen looked up at the farm in front of him. All he saw was a sea of green. At the gate stood a middle-aged man wearing a straw hat, waving enthusiastically at everyone. "Good afternoon, lunch is ready."
"This is Uncle Bor who manages the farm for Sith."
Joey said, "His roast chicken is super delicious!"
"Don't worry! The roast chicken for lunch is ready." Uncle Bol said with a smile.
Fang Chen felt a little embarrassed, "Thank you for your hard work."
"No, no, no, don't say that. I'm really happy that you guys are here to play."
Xisi had already walked over, holding Fang Chen's bag in one hand and gently ruffling Fang Chen's hair with the other, and whispered, "Don't be nervous, you come here to play to relax."
Fang Chen raised his head to look at him and nodded slightly.
Outside the farm is a wooden fence with many unknown things like grass roots hanging on it. Uncle Boer explained that they are used to repel insects.
"We have some in your room as well."
Fang Chen smiled, his eyes curved, "You are so considerate."
Uncle Bol shrugged. "Sis called me ahead of time to tell me to prepare."
Fang Chen blinked, and before he could say anything, Joey next to him screamed, "Why weren't we prepared when we came here before? Last time, I woke up in the middle of my sleep and there was a palm-sized spider right next to my pillow. I was so scared that I almost fainted."
Fang Chen felt a chill and trembled when he heard this. He knew that the ecological environment here was good, but it didn't have to be so good.
Sis glanced at Joey unhappily, "You can pass out now if you want."
Joey quickly shut up.
Uncle Bol took them directly to the wooden houses where they would stay at night. There was a whole row of wooden houses connected together. They all looked very clean and beautiful from the outside. There was also a small yard at the door of each wooden house, which looked very suitable for sitting leisurely and having afternoon tea.
This is awesome!
When Fang Chen was looking at it intently, Xisi suddenly bent down and whispered in his ear, "Choose the second room on the left, there is a surprise."
Eh? !!
After saying this, Xisi stood up calmly, leaving Fang Chen alone in a daze.
Surprise? What surprise?
And... just now when Sith was speaking, his ear was close to his, and the hot air from his speech hit his ear, making it itchy.
Fang Chen rubbed his ears uncomfortably. Although he was skeptical about what Sis said, when choosing a room, he immediately picked the one Sis mentioned.
As luck would have it, Sis lived next door to him.
Holding the key in his hand, Fang Chen licked his lips, feeling inexplicably guilty.
It always feels like... cheating.
After driving for a whole morning, everyone was tired and decided to go back to the room to change clothes and rest before going out for lunch.
Fang Chen stood at the door, hesitating with the key in his hand.
What kind of surprise would that be? Would it be an American cockroach shaking its twin tails at him when he lifted the covers?
"Don't believe me?"
A deep voice suddenly sounded from behind.
Xisi came over at some point, looked down at him, raised his chin, and said, "Open the door."
Why is there still a forced...
Fang Chen pouted, inserted the key, turned the doorknob, and pushed the door open.
The room was warmly decorated, with a small blue rug on the floor and a few pots of unnamed flowers on the windowsill. The petals were white and blue, very elegant. There was a wind chime hanging on the window frame, which looked like it was made of dried fruits, very special.
Fang Chen looked around and became more and more satisfied. He turned back to thank Xisi, "Thank you! I like it very much!"
He thought it was a surprise, maybe the room was specially decorated.
But Xisi tilted his head and said, "Look there."
What?
Fang Chen looked towards the corner and saw a cushion with something on it.
He walked closer to take a look, and the "thing" on the cushion suddenly raised its head, frightening Fang Chen so much that his eyes widened, "This..."
"A lamb just one month old on the farm."
"Oh my god...it's, it's so beautiful."
Indeed, the lamb was washed clean, with a bow-shaped ribbon tied around its neck, as if it had been brought in as a gift.
Fang Chen squatted down in front of him and gently reached out to touch his head. The touch was warm and soft, which was really wonderful.
"Are you going to let me raise them?" Fang Chen said worriedly, "I'm not very good at raising sheep."
Fang Chen tilted his head back with round eyes, which made him three times cuter than the lamb next to him in Xisi's eyes.
He raised an eyebrow and said, "Of course not. I wanted to give it to you to play with. If it's any later, Bol will have someone take the sheep back."
When Fang Chen heard him say this, he felt a little relieved, but also a little reluctant.
The lamb is really so cute.
"There's a bottle next to it, you can feed him."
Fang Chen looked back and saw a bottle of milk placed on the cabinet. When he reached out to take it, it was still warm to the touch, so it must have been put in not long ago.
The lamb's eyes widened when he saw the milk bottle, and he hummed and pushed himself into Fang Chen's arms. Fang Chen couldn't help laughing at him, "Why are you so greedy?"
He held the lamb in his arms and handed it the bottle. The lamb took the bottle in one bite and drank it in big gulps.
Fang Chen's eyes curved, "It's so well behaved."
Sis crossed his arms, looking deeply at the scene, and then licked his lips before saying nonchalantly, "It's better if you're good."
!!!
Fang Chen suddenly looked up and glared.
Sis laughed instead, "Isn't it? When I tied you up, you didn't scream or hide, and you just did whatever I told you to do."
How dare you say that!
Fang Chen muttered, "I thought you were a murderer with a chainsaw going to kill me. I was scared to death when you took me to the factory."
"Really?" Sis said deliberately, "I remember you slept very soundly that night."
Fang Chen blushed and turned his head away silently.
Sis didn't tease him anymore and took the initiative to excuse himself, "I'm going back to my room first. I can go to the restaurant after I'm done cleaning up."
"good."
After Xisi left, Fang Chen gently poked the lamb's head and said, "You need to be more vigilant and stay away from the bad guys."
The lamb gulped down the milk, ignoring his words.
To some extent, Xiaoyang and Fang Chen are quite similar. They both sleep after eating and fall asleep on the soft cushion with their heads tilted.
Fang Chen touched his ear again, then got up, took a shower, and changed his clothes.
When he finished dawdling and went out, he actually saw Xisi waiting for him in the yard. Fang Chen hurried over and asked in surprise, "Why didn't you go to the restaurant?"
"I'm afraid you won't find it."
Xisi's gaze fell on Fang Chen.
Usually for convenience, Fang Chen's clothes are all very loose, but now he is wearing a denim jumpsuit, pink, which makes Fang Chen look even whiter.
Seeing that the man's eyes were always on him, Fang Chen looked down, a little embarrassed, "Isn't it good-looking?"
He hadn't bought any clothes since he came here from the book. This set was found in the suitcase of the original owner. Since he was going out for fun, Fang Chen also wanted to dress up and take a few photos.
"Of course not."
This time, Xisi didn't say cute, but used an adjective that Fang Chen liked more, "very handsome."
Fang Chen was indeed happy and smiled with the corners of his lips curved.
"Let's go to the restaurant. Are you hungry?"
Fang Chen wasn't actually that hungry. Sis had fed him a lot in the car that morning, and then he slept all the way, leaving him no chance to exercise and digest the food.
But he didn't want to be treated specially, so he followed Sis to the restaurant obediently.
The weather is good today, and Uncle Bol put all the food and drinks on the wooden table outside. In addition to roast chicken, there are also various grilled meats and grilled fish.
When they went over, everyone else was already seated. Joey, holding up a soda, beamed with joy. "Really? Don't you know? There's a ranch in California that's open to the public. Because of the beautiful scenery, people often go there specifically to visit."
"But the farmer is actually a murderer. He killed his wife and hid her in the cellar. Every tourist who visited his farm would mysteriously disappear. In fact, it was because of him..."
“Bang!”
A ball of paper hit Joey on the head with great precision. He covered his head and looked over angrily, "Damn it... Oh! God! Sis, you're finally here. Come sit over here. I'll save the biggest chicken drumstick for you."
"It seems that you don't want to sleep in the cabin, but prefer to sleep in the cellar." Sith glared at him coldly.
Joey choked, looked at Fang Chen, whose face was obviously a little pale, and obediently retracted his head.
All right.
He scared the little lamb of the Sith family.
