Chapter 22
Once people immerse themselves in the ocean of knowledge, their brains will be overloaded, and they will constantly repeat the process of drowning and breathing. In the end, they will collapse on the sofa like a kebab, and they will have no idea what the world is.
"I can't learn anymore." Fang Chen's eyes were blank as he mumbled in Chinese, "I'm going to vomit if I look at one more letter."
Sith frowned.
His progress in learning Chinese was not that fast, and most of the time he could only understand the general idea of what Fang Chen said.
vomit?
The man looked down at Fang Chen, his eyes falling on Fang Chen's lower abdomen. Suddenly he reached out and touched it, saying in a flat tone, "It's not swollen, how could you vomit?"
Fang Chen's eyes widened.
How did you do that!!! How did you say something so ambiguous without any expression on your face?
He sat up, holding his stomach, and looked at Sith warily, trying to read something from Sith's expression, but the man looked at him with his eyes downcast, his expression calm, as if he had just said something very ordinary.
It seemed like he was overthinking it.
Fang Chen was annoyed.
It's all Benjamin's fault. I shared all sorts of nonsense with him for no reason, making his head a mess.
He honestly covered his stomach and said sincerely, "I feel dizzy. I don't want to learn anymore."
Sis looked at him for a few seconds and nodded, "Okay, we'll learn the rest tomorrow. I'll make a schedule with the tasks you need to complete every day."
The lamb felt so desperate after hearing this that his legs trembled and he almost wanted to run away.
"You have to learn tomorrow too?"
The man announced indifferently, "Not just tomorrow. According to your progress, you need to come here every day to review until the end of the exam."
The lamb fell onto the sofa with a thud again.
Losing the dream turned into roasted whole lamb.
A smile finally appeared in Xisi's eyes. He stretched out his hand and tapped Fang Chen's forehead lightly with his fingers. "Relax, I have some game discs here. See if there are any you like to play. I'll go make dinner."
"Don't make Chinese food." Fang Chen suddenly spoke up. He looked up at the man and said seriously, "What kind of nutritious meal do you usually eat? I can just eat the same as you, okay?"
Sith raised an eyebrow, "Bet!"
He made a phone call in front of Fang Chen. The person on the other end was probably a chef or an assistant. The man spoke in a calm tone, gave concise instructions, and hung up quickly.
When I turned around, I found that the lamb on the sofa was still staring at me blankly.
His heart softened, and Xisi couldn't help but reached out and rubbed the boy's black hair. It was always so soft, just like Fang Chen, so well-behaved and without any temper.
Not really, I got angry with him too.
On the phone, a little rage.
But even if he was just a little bit angry and unhappy, it would make Sith feel like he was facing a formidable enemy.
Because I like it, I care about it.
The man lowered his eyes, hiding the dark emotions within. He paused, then spoke in a normal tone, "What games do you like to play? Or are there any movies you'd like to watch?"
Fang Chen became a little interested, "COCO, have you seen it?"
Coco is the only movie Fang Chen likes and never gets tired of watching. Whenever he is alone and bored, he will take it out and watch it.
"No."
Xisi rarely watches movies and has no interest in it, but if the person sitting next to him is Fang Chen——
"Is this what we're going to see?"
The man quickly played the video. "I think I've heard of it. It seems quite interesting."
Fang Chen pouted and said, "It's very touching. I cry every time I watch it."
The man subconsciously frowned and asked hesitantly, "Do you want to change it?"
Fang Chen quickly shook his head, "I just like watching this."
"All right."
Sis stared at him deeply for two seconds and wanted to say that it was okay to watch the movie, but he hoped Fang Chen would not cry. But then he thought, if she was with him, then it would be okay to shed a few tears.
He would coax him.
But Sith still miscalculated.
He didn't expect Fang Chen to cry so pitifully, his eyes and nose were red, and tears were falling down.
"Don't cry."
Sis frowned and coaxed him in a low voice, "Let's stop watching. The meal has arrived. Let's go eat something first."
The young man looked up at him, his eyes still misty, as if he would shed tears again if he blinked twice.
"If no one remembers me, I will disappear. Then I will definitely be the first one to die."
He is an orphan, without parents or relatives, and now he has traveled through a book, making him look more like a floating duckweed.
Sith reached out, touched his eyelashes, and caught the tear before it fell.
"No," he whispered. "I won't die."
Fang Chen was stunned for a moment.
He looked at Sith. The man usually seemed cold and emotionless because of the color of his eyes, but at this moment he seemed inexplicably gentle.
Fang Chen sniffed softly again, "I'm sorry, I'm a little embarrassed."
If I had known it would be so disastrous, I would not have watched this movie.
Xisi smiled helplessly, half-knelt down, looked Fang Chen in the eye, and spoke softly, "I don't feel embarrassed. Isn't it normal to cry while watching a movie? It's people like me who feel it's wrong, you know? Joey and the others called me a rock and an ice cube behind my back, saying that I don't have normal emotions."
Fang Chen, who had just cried, snorted softly, "No, you're fine."
Sis couldn't help himself and raised his hand to gently pinch Fang Chen's earlobe. The touch was fleeting. When Fang Chen's eyes widened, he withdrew his hand as if nothing had happened. "Okay, eat something."
The food was delivered a long time ago, but luckily it was placed in an insulated box, so it is still warm when I took it out.
While Xisi was arranging the dishes, Fang Chen went to wash his face. He had cried a lot just now, and his eyes looked swollen.
Facing the mirror, Fang Chen glared at himself angrily.
Crybaby!!
Only after coming out of the bathroom did Fang Chen feel hungry. He patted his stomach and happily ran to the kitchen.
But when I entered the restaurant, I was stunned.
He said he was eating the same nutritious meal as Sith, but he didn't expect it to be so nutritious.
A vegetable salad, a plate of fried chicken and salmon, and a glass of red wine. Of course, the one in front of Fang Chen was a glass of orange juice.
Sith pulled out a chair for him, "Are you used to it? If not, I can make you something else."
Fang Chen came back to his senses and nodded quickly, "Sure!"
He had just picked up the fork when he suddenly heard a loud thunder outside. The sound was so loud that he started and almost dropped the fork.
When I turned around, I found that the sky outside was very dark and there might be a storm.
"Are you scared?"
Fang Chen stuffed a small tomato into his mouth and nodded, "A little bit."
"I just received a warning message. The rain tonight may be a bit heavy."
Fang Chen blinked in confusion, not yet understanding the meaning of Xisi's words.
In just a few seconds, the rain outside was pouring down. Even through the window, you could see the big raindrops falling.
Sis spoke at the right time, "It's raining so hard. I have a lot of empty rooms here. Sleep here tonight. I'll take you back to school tomorrow."
Eh!!???
What? ? ?
Fang Chen finally reacted and subconsciously wanted to shake his head to refuse, but he stopped abruptly.
I almost forgot, didn't he come here today just to test Xisi?
Wouldn't it be more convenient if we could settle down naturally?
Fang Chen lowered his head again, forked a piece of fish into his mouth, and waited until he swallowed it before speaking, "Okay then."
The moment they turned their heads, both of them raised the corners of their lips slightly.
There was really nothing to eat for dinner, so Fang Chen finished it in a few bites, and then stared at Xisi eagerly.
Sith thought for a moment and handed him the wine glass. "Would you like to take a sip?"
Fang Chen quickly waved his hands.
"This is not a high dose, it helps with sleeping."
Hearing Xisi say this, Fang Chen hesitated again.
There's nothing I can do, he's just so easy to persuade.
Taking the cup, Fang Chen took a small sip, smacked his lips, and his eyes lit up. Wow, it tastes really good!
Then he took another sip, another sip, another sip, and another sip...
When Sis lowered his head to reply to the message, he looked up again and Fang Chen had drunk the whole glass of red wine. He was still licking his lips with his little tongue reluctantly.
The man's eyes darkened and he stared at him for two seconds. "Is it delicious?"
Fang Chen nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, "It's delicious, sweet."
"You've drunk it all, but I haven't tasted it yet." The man stared at Fang Chen's lips.
Fang Chen let out a bewildered "Ah".
She looks silly and stupid, with red eyes from crying, which makes people want to peel her and eat her.
But Sith finally looked away and let him go.
"Are you full?"
In response, the boy burped softly.
Sis smiled and said, "Let me clean up. It's getting late now. You can go take a shower first. The clothes in the closet in the room are all new and you can wear whatever you want."
“Okay!”
The alcohol content of the red wine was not high, but maybe because he drank it too quickly, Fang Chen still felt a little dizzy when he stood up.
He said to himself, stay steady, walk in a straight line, and don't embarrass yourself.
Then Sith watched the lamb stagger into the bedroom.
In fact, the cleaning staff came to clean the house every day, so Xisi didn't have to clean up the table himself, but he had to find something to do, otherwise he was afraid that he would not be able to resist walking to the door of the guest bedroom...
After casually tidying up the dining table, Sis didn't rush to take a shower or change clothes. Instead, he stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and made a few phone calls.
As soon as I finished saying the last sentence and hung up the phone, the door of the guest bedroom opened.
Fang Chen just walked out barefoot.
His hair was not dried yet, and water droplets were dripping down his black hair and onto his white shirt, making the wet areas translucent.
There were a lot of clothes in the closet, but he chose to wear a rather formal white shirt, but no pants, and the buttons were fastened crookedly, revealing a sense of purity and amorousness.
In fact, it is normal not to wear pants. Sis's shirt is so wide that it reaches his knees, and the collar is loose. A man only needs to lower his eyes slightly to see clearly.
What's even worse is that the boy frowned and said in distress, "Cis, the disposable underwear here is too big. I can't wear it."
The man's Adam's apple rolled up and down, and he made an obvious swallowing motion. His deep gaze fell on Fang Chen, as if it were real.
Can’t wear it?
Then under the shirt.
Is he naked?
