Chapter 102: Find someone to take the exam for you?
When Wen Zhu asked why he went into someone else's room, the little boy replied, "I told you, someone inside said 'ouch' and I thought they fell down, so I went to check."
Wen Zhu took out two White Rabbit candies from his pocket and handed them to the little boy. "You're quite enthusiastic. Here, this is your reward."
The little boy had been feeling very aggrieved, but when he saw the White Rabbit milk candy, he no longer felt aggrieved. He just stared at it, then looked up at his mother, swallowed his saliva, and did not dare to take it.
I reached out to take it after seeing my mother nod, and my face instantly lit up with smiles.
"Thank you, sister!"
Wen Zhu touched his head and continued to ask, "Children are the most honest. Can you tell me that you were the one who threw the bag and notebook into the basin? Don't worry, even if you did, I won't be mean to you. But if you lie, the moon will cut off your ears."
The little boy swore, "I swear, I absolutely didn't touch anything in there. When I went in, I saw the bag soaking in the basin. That sister was lying, she wasn't sleeping at all! As soon as I went in, she grabbed my arm and accused me of making trouble and causing trouble. I ran away because I was scared!"
Wen Zhu looked at him and didn't think he was lying, so she nodded. "I understand, you're an honest child. I believe you, but next time, don't just casually enter other people's rooms. If you find someone is a human trafficker, you might be arrested."
The little boy nodded.
Then he put a candy in his mouth. He was originally happy, but when he heard Wen Zhu say that she believed him, tears immediately came down.
Suddenly burst into tears.
The candy fell out of his mouth and onto the ground.
The middle-aged woman was also startled when she saw her son suddenly crying, and hurried to comfort him.
"What's going on?"
"I... I told you I didn't lie, but you still don't believe me, Mom! Wuuuuu... I'm not a bad kid..."
The little boy sobbed bitterly, feeling extremely wronged.
The crying attracted people from other rooms. Wen Zhu told the situation to Teacher Lin and Teacher Wang, and the two teachers looked unhappy.
"Wen Zhu, don't worry. When we get back, we will tell the principal the truth about the situation here and give you an explanation then."
Xu Niannian had just come back from outside with some notebooks and pens, and saw the little kid crying again. She was so annoyed, just as annoying as her good-for-nothing brother.
But the teacher was present, so she couldn't say anything and reluctantly handed the notebook and pen to Wen Zhu.
"This is what Teacher Lin asked me to compensate you for."
Wen Zhu didn't take it. "You keep it for yourself. I don't dare to use it."
She didn't dare use the things Xu Niannian gave her. What if she did something bad with the pen and she couldn't use it halfway through writing? Wouldn't that be a pitfall for her? It was better not to take advantage of this little bit of money.
Xu Niannian felt that Wen Zhu was deliberately targeting her.
But because Teacher Lin said that if she caused any more trouble, she would not be allowed to participate in the competition, she could only sulk and swallow her anger.
Another contestant in the class, Zhang Guodong, happened to walk in from outside.
"Xu Niannian, I just asked the staff. You borrowed a basin from someone right after we left. What did you borrow it for? You even filled it with water and left it there."
Xu Niannian's face froze, but she quickly recovered and looked at Zhang Guodong. "Can't I borrow your basin to wash my feet before bed? You're such a meddlesome person!"
Zhang Guodong laughed, "But they said you borrowed a washbasin. Did you deliberately soak Wen Zhu's schoolbag in water?"
"I...I didn't!" Xu Niannian panicked for a moment, thinking these people were meddling in her affairs.
"She did it on purpose, bad person, huh!" The little boy pointed at Xu Niannian and said angrily.
Wen Zhu seemed to be lost in thought. "It suddenly occurred to me that I put my bag near the door. Even if a mischievous child accidentally knocked it over, how could my bag fly so far from behind the door, choose its own spot, and fall into the basin near the inside? Explain this to me."
Xu Niannian was speechless and could only argue, "It was this kid who did it, not me."
The little boy's mother also stepped forward and said, "Our Xiaoyong had been out for less than a minute when I followed him in. He came in right after I heard you shouting, so I followed him in too. What grudge does a little kid have against you? Why would he deliberately run behind the door, carry his bag in, and just happen to drop it into the basin of water inside?"
Xu Niannian hesitated, her eyes evasive. What else did everyone not understand?
Teacher Lin also made a decision, "Xu Niannian, this child said that he soaked his things in the water before entering. After entering, you accused him of causing trouble. The administrator also said that you went to borrow a washbasin, but you said you were washing your feet. His mother followed him right after, so it's impossible that he dropped something in. Your statement is full of loopholes, and the truth is obvious. You will return to school to face punishment."
Xu Niannian denied it, but no one would listen to her excuses.
The little boy's mother thought that she had wronged her son, spat at Xu Niannian, and then took her son away.
Xu Niannian tried to explain, but everyone went back to sleep and no one paid any attention to her.
Finally, I could only lie back on the bed and sleep.
But she was in a state of anxiety, afraid that the teacher would disqualify her from the competition and that she would be punished when she returned.
I didn't sleep well the whole night.
The next day, Wen Zhu and several of his classmates woke up refreshed and ready to compete. Only Xu Niannian looked like a ghost, her eyes black and blue, and her spirits drooping.
Teacher Lin shook her head. She didn't disqualify her because she had already registered and it was difficult to cancel. But judging by her condition, it was unlikely she would do well in the exam.
Wen Zhu and the others were in different examination rooms. She touched the ten pens in her left pocket and the spare stationery in her right pocket, and felt very safe.
I'm really scared of being cheated.
When checking the stationery, the invigilator saw that Wen Zhu took out a bunch of stationery such as pens and rulers from his top and bottom pockets in addition to his admission ticket, and his mouth twitched.
Wen Zhu looked at the teacher who was checking with clear eyes, "Teacher, is it okay for me to bring some extra stationery?"
The invigilator let her through, "No problem."
It's just not normal. I secretly decided to pay more attention to this student later.
Xu Niannian found her seat with dark circles under her eyes.
Wen Manman, who was sitting in the back, looked at the girl with a strange look as she sat in Xu Niannian's seat.
A huge drama of cheating in the exam instantly appeared in her mind.
His eyes lit up even brighter. He had thought Xu Niannian was a formidable figure, but it turned out she was just that good.
I checked the scores through connections before, and got the news last night. That "Xu Niannian" actually did terribly in the exam and was no match for her at all.
She was still curious about how she could participate in the math competition with her grades. Now, seeing another person sitting in "Xu Niannian's" seat, she instantly understood.
Wait until she finishes the exam and then report it!
