Chapter 60: Keen to take care of the one you love

Shen Yinan didn’t even raise his eyebrows: “I don’t want to.”

Jiang Xun: “…”

He didn't want to listen, but he wanted to talk.

Jiang Xun stopped the man, his tone a bit gnashing his teeth: "Gu Yan and my sister have canceled their engagement. Are you happy?"

The engagement between the Gu family and the Jiang family was cancelled?

Hearing this news, Shen Yinan was not too surprised.

Although the two families had a business marriage, Gu Yan's affair was known to everyone, so it was normal for the Jiang family to cancel the engagement.

He glanced at Jiang Xun calmly and said, "They canceled the engagement, and your sister should be the one who's happy."

As the words fell, someone came in from outside.

Jiang Xun was not in a position to stop him, so he changed his tone and said, "Wait for me after get off work to leave together."

That tone seems so familiar.

The other people in the tea room looked at them, seemingly wondering about their relationship.

Jiang Xun was sure that Shen Yinan was not good at refusing and would not lose face in public.

But this time, he was wrong.

Shen Yinan replied directly with three words: “Inconvenient.”

He pushed open the glass door and walked out, and Jiang Xun's face behind him suddenly darkened.

The eldest young master's temper flared up immediately, and he said coldly to the onlookers, "What are you looking at?"

He stormed out the door, and several people behind him sneered unhappily: "You get angry at others when you fail to curry favor with the leader. That's rude."

Jiang Xun: “…”

What are these people talking about? He, the eldest young master of the Jiang family, needs to curry favor with Shen Yinan!

He came here simply because his family urged him to find an internship, so he just picked a place.

I talked so much with Shen Yinan only because I saw how pitiful he looked following behind Gu Yan before.

He didn’t take Shen Yinan seriously at all!

Jiang Xun repeated this sentence in his mind and successfully convinced himself.

When he got off work, his mood strangely returned to calm.

Shen Yinan has never seen the world, so there is nothing to argue with him.

After punching the clock out, Jiang Xun took a detour to Shen Yinan's office.

However, the lights in Shen Yinan’s office had long been turned off.

The assistant next door happened to be carrying a briefcase out of the door, and Jiang Xun suppressed his anger and asked, "Where is Shen Yinan?"

The assistant was startled by Jiang Xun's expression and subconsciously replied: "Uh... the director should be in the parking lot. He drove here by himself."

Just as I was about to ask Jiang Xun what happened, he left angrily.

Jiang Xun was filled with sullen anger. On the way to the parking lot, he kept thinking about how to make Shen Yinan apologize to him later.

But when he arrived at the parking lot and saw Ana Shen, the thought just now disappeared.

Because he saw Xue Du again.

The setting sun scattered from above his head. Xue Du threw Shen Yinan's car keys to the burly bodyguard, watched the car drive away, and reached out to Shen Yinan.

With his palms spread out, the young man gave an encouraging smile.

Ana Shen seemed a little conflicted, but still handed over the briefcase in his hand.

Xue Du held the briefcase with the hand farther away from Shen Yinan, and held Shen Yinan’s hand with the other hand. The latter stiffened for a moment, but did not pull his hand back.

The wind blows away the young man's voice, gentler than spring.

"From here to the outside, just lead it for a few hundred meters, okay?"

Xue Du did what he said. As soon as he walked out of the parking lot and into a crowded area, he immediately let go of her hand.

Holding his own temperature and withdrawing, Shen Yinan's fingertips curled slightly.

As if trying to keep him.

Xue Du's eyes swept over the boy's red ears and he chuckled: "Would you like some water first?"

"No, we're almost there."

They went to a restaurant near the company for dinner today, which was only a ten-minute walk away.

Xue Du said that Xue Huaizhi had a good impression of Chi Xingyao and wanted to invite her to dinner again. As a younger brother, he wanted to help his brother scout the place.

Speaking of this blind date, Ana Shen hesitated to speak.

On the way there, Shen Yinan kept thinking about whether to tell Chi Xingyao what he thought.

But when the words came to his lips, he swallowed them back.

Chi Xingyao didn't let him say it.

Xue Du ordered a Japanese restaurant, pushed the door into the private room, took off his shoes, and sat on the tatami.

The dishes were brought in one by one.

Shen Yinan ate for a while and said, “My sister should like it here. It suits her taste.”

Xue Du asked: "What about you? Do you like it?"

Aren't we just trying out the food? Why are you asking for his opinion? He's not on a blind date.

But Ana Shen nodded: “I like it too.”

Xue Du then smiled with satisfaction and brought the topic back to where he was, asking Chi Xingyao about her impression of Xue Huaizhi.

Shen Yinan took a sip of water: “She thinks Mr. Xue is very gentle.”

Not much else to say.

The cup was placed on the table, empty of water.

Xue Du picked up the teapot and said, "My brother said that Miss Chi is the type that makes people want to take care of her."

The tea filled the cup, and he looked at Shen Yinan, his smile deepening:

"We are very similar in that we are both passionate about taking care of the people we love."

The cup that was refilled with water was handed back to Shen Yinan.

He lowered his head to drink the water, and suddenly felt that the water in his mouth was much sweeter.

The driver came to pick me up when I returned.

Sitting in the back seat, Ana Shen sent the photos of the food he had taken before eating to Ana Shen.

During this period, Shen Hua was out of town, and was afraid that he would not eat well, so he always asked him to send photos.

After a few minutes, Shen Hua replied to the voice message.

As soon as I clicked on it, my grandmother's voice rang out: [Is that Xue Du across the street? You little brat, take my sweet grandson to eat this! How can you possibly be full with just a few pounds of meat?!]

The Japanese sashimi did seem to be small in portion, but Shen Hua had never been used to it and thought white rice was the best.
