Chapter 15 A Dark and Windy Night: Moving the Scoundrel's Property - So Satisfying!

"Wang Hui! You said you moved the property that those families found into this courtyard? Is that true?"

Wang Hui's face was deathly pale, his expression utterly exhausted, and his eyes filled with terror: "Brother Gou, would I...would I lie to you? I'm telling the truth, I'm telling the truth. So please take it away. I don't want them bothering me anymore."

Since returning from the mountain yesterday, Wang Hui has been having nightmares. At first, Wang Hui didn't take it seriously, thinking that these were all feudal dregs and how could they possibly harm him?

But as the nightmares intensified and became more and more realistic, Wang Hui felt a dull pain in his chest, making it hard to breathe, as if... as if something was sitting on his chest...

I can't even imagine it... I absolutely can't imagine it!

Wang Hui dared not close his eyes, but drowsiness kept creeping over him, completely out of his control...

Wang Hui couldn't help but scream in terror, disturbing the neighbors' sleep in the middle of the night. The disturbance lasted all night. During the day, people from the Red Revolutionary Committee came to ask him to come and search his house, but Wang Hui refused to stay at home and didn't dare to go out, fearing that he would be killed if he went out...

It wasn't until evening that Hua Gou'er came to his door. Hua Gou'er was practically his brother, and he had come to inquire about his sister's situation.

Wang Hui couldn't help but let it slip, and Hua Gou'er exclaimed, "Brother, since you're so scared, why don't you let me handle those things? I guarantee I'll take care of them perfectly, and then you can sleep soundly."

As for the money, don't feel bad about it. Consider it a loss to avoid further trouble; maybe your nightmares will even disappear along with it.

Wang Hui was still confused from the nightmare, so when he heard that someone was willing to help him, he readily agreed: "Okay, okay, thank you, Brother Gou."

So, taking advantage of the dark and windy night, they came to this small courtyard.

Hua Gou'er smiled and said, "Of course I believe what you say. Now tell me where you hid it, and you don't need to worry about anything else. I'll take care of it for you."

Wang Hui nodded repeatedly, his expression excited: "Okay, okay. Thank you, brother."

Wang Hui pointed to the well in the middle: "If you press down on the right-hand side, the entrance will appear."

The little dog nodded: "Okay."

He gave his subordinate a wink, who understood and pulled out a dagger. Before Wang Hui could react, the subordinate slit his throat, and blood gushed out.

"Boss, you've done a good job."

The spotted dog was looking for the mechanism when it heard this and waved its hand: "Bury it in the backyard."

Upon hearing their boss's words, Hua Gou'er's henchmen dragged Wang Hui's corpse towards the backyard.

After the underling left, Hua Gou'er found the mechanism and pressed it lightly. The ground not far from the well vibrated. Hua Gou'er's eyes lit up. Just as he was about to call the other underlings over, he felt a sharp pain in his head and fainted the next second.

Lan Yao climbed over the wall and first confirmed the situation of Hua Gou'er and the others, as the saying goes, "better safe than sorry."

Once Lan Yao was certain that Hua Gou'er and his gang had been knocked unconscious by her mental power, she squinted and examined Hua Gou'er. When she was peeking from a distance, she felt that Hua Gou'er looked familiar, and now she could confirm that this bastard was Hua Mudan's brother.

In the book, Hua Gou'er ran away later, but before he ran away, for the sake of his sister and the Lan family's property, this bastard did not harm himself.

Lan Yao first collected the valuables from the secret room, then quickly scanned some of Hua Gou'er's memories. What she found was shocking. Hua Gou'er, a gangster, had amassed quite a fortune with Wang Hui and other members of the Red Revolutionary Committee over the past two years, but he had been very loyal and hadn't touched the Lan family's things, probably because he thought they belonged to his sister, Hua Mudan...

Lan Yao clicked her tongue lightly: "...I didn't expect you bastard to actually dote on your sister."

So what? You've fallen into my hands, and I certainly won't let you get away with it.

Lan Yao used her mental power to wake the two people up, then directed them to tie them up before making the murderer write a confession.

She dusted herself off and climbed over the wall back, just as the couple who had been waiting for her arrived.

After watching them move boxes of goods into the underground chamber from the shadows, Lan Yao used her mental power to knock them unconscious again, then retrieved the items remotely and emptied the basement of its valuables.

Lan Yao clapped her hands and used her mental power to scan the man's memories, discovering that he had two more treasure locations...

Lan Yao sighed, "Tonight is really busy."

Lan Yao used the same method to make them bind themselves together, write down that they were scumbags who messed around with men and women, and that they were planning to abscond with the money.

Lan Yao first went to the scumbag's house, took away the contraband left there, left a note for the scumbag's wife to remind her, and left some money and tickets for the scumbag's wife. Then Lan Yao went to retrieve the valuables left by the scumbag.

Lan Yao didn't dare leave the scumbag's wife anything or tell him where she hid her valuables because she was afraid he would reveal something during the Red Revolution meeting, and then it would be the scumbag's wife who would suffer.

After Lan Yao finished all that, she slipped into the Red Revolutionary Committee and placed two more letters of denunciation on the table. Then she leisurely came to see Lan Jiaojiao and, incidentally, to see what would happen to the other two families. She had only seen the Lan family's fate before.

As soon as she entered the cell, she heard shouts of abuse.

"You old man Lan, why didn't you tell us you were going to run away? Our Xu family is related to you by marriage. Lan Jiaojiao is the link between our Lan and Xu families!" Old man Xu roared angrily.
