As she spoke, Guan Wenru smiled and lifted a corner of the white cloth, revealing steaming white steamed buns and three large pots of fragrant chicken stew with mushrooms.
"Everyone has worked so hard these past few days, so I prepared some food to treat you all, and this too..."
She then pointed to several pots on a cart next to her, "I asked the logistics department to distribute some milk to everyone to replenish their energy."
He Yanzhi wiped her sweat again, "Thank you for your hard work. Next time you need something delivered, have one of the kids from the compound run an errand for me, and I'll go back and bring it over."
"It's alright, this little bit of work isn't tiring."

Hearing their compliments, Guan Wenru chuckled and quickly changed the subject, "The soldiers are here, ladies, thank you all for serving them food today."
"Hey! It's all what I should do, don't talk about how hard it is!" Hua Xiaoyu said as she went to get the serving utensils and distributed them to everyone.
When the soldiers gathered around and saw what was in the pot, their eyes lit up and they cheered.
"Wow! Ladies, is this our lunch?"
Hua Xiaoyu quickly spoke up, "Of course, this is a treat from your sister-in-law Guan herself."
"Wow! That's great! Thank you, Sister-in-law Guan!"
Guan Wenru smiled and said, "Everyone has worked hard. Eat as much as you like."
He Yanzhi also spoke up, "Go wash your hands, everyone eat your fill first."
The soldiers cheered immediately and ran to the side to wash their hands.
When they returned, the military families immediately served them food and let them take as many white steamed buns as they wanted.
There's definitely enough of these today!
Liao Kai took a big bite of the steamed bun and mumbled, "Commander, thanks to you, my wife is so kind to you and to us. This steamed bun is so fluffy! So delicious!"
He Yanzhi rolled her eyes at him, "Can't you shut your mouth even if you eat?"
Liao Kai chuckled.
The soldier next to Liao Kai held a bowl of milk and drank it with a satisfied look on his face. "The company commander was right, regimental commander. Your relationship with your wife is truly amazing! You haven't stopped smiling since she came!"
