On the other side, Zhao Mei tightly gripped the official document in her hand, her face filled with barely suppressed excitement and a hint of triumph.
She had just come out of the logistics department when she spotted Han Haoxian, dressed in military uniform, walking briskly with his head down in the distance.

Upon hearing Zhao Mei's voice, Han Haoxian visibly stiffened, but instead of stopping, he quickened his pace.
When Zhao Mei saw that he was still trying to avoid her, she instantly exploded, her voice shrill, "Han Haoxian! You stop right there! What are you hiding for?! Do you believe I'll abort the baby in my belly?!"
She rushed over without a care and blocked Han Haoxian's way in a few steps.
Han Haoxian stared at her, feeling helpless. "I don't want to argue with you right now."
"You think I want to argue with you?" Zhao Mei's chest heaved violently, holding the document up almost to his face. "How long are you going to avoid me?"
“I’m not avoiding you. I’ve already said that I’m not qualified to live in the family compound now. You should pack your things and go back to my grandfather’s place.”
"I'm not leaving!" Zhao Mei waved the documents in her hand. "Look carefully! It's an official document! I can stay! I can stay legitimately!"
