He slyly handed the cup to his older brother, He Yi, and whispered, "Brother, try this, it's your uncle's wine!"
He Yi hesitated for a moment, then curiously took a sip, his expression equally strange.
Then it was passed on to He Qi.
The three boys, each taking a sip, secretly finished off the last bit of liquor at the bottom of Guan Hongqi's glass!
He Sheng felt unsatisfied, so when the adults weren't looking, he poured some more into his cup.
The three brothers shared the drink.
Before long, the effects of the alcohol kicked in.
A thirteen-year-old boy has no capacity for alcohol.
First, He Sheng felt dizzy and his vision was blurry. He grinned foolishly and subconsciously started shaking his head in sync with the rhythm of the adults' conversation.
Then He Yi and He Qi also felt their cheeks burning and their eyes becoming a little dazed.
He Sheng couldn't control himself any longer. He felt lightheaded and actually managed to stand up unsteadily, leaning on the table, muttering incoherently, "So...delicious...hehe..."
His unusual behavior was immediately noticed by the observant Guan Wenru. "He Sheng? What's wrong? Why is your face so red?"
Upon hearing this, He Yanzhi turned his head and saw that his youngest son could barely stand. He then glanced at his two other sons, whose faces were flushed and eyes were glazed over. He immediately realized that something was wrong.
He reached for the soda glass in front of He Sheng, brought it close, and smelled it…
A faint smell of alcohol!
He Yanzhi was both angry and amused. He put down his cup, looked at his three dizzy sons, and said with a wry smile:
"Well done, you three! You've really grown up! Daring to sneak drinks right under the noses of so many adults? And you've even learned to share? He Sheng, did you start this?"
When their father pointed it out, the triplets sobered up a bit and, feeling guilty, blushed deeply.
He Sheng's legs went weak, and he slumped back into his chair, covering his burning face...
This elicited a good-natured burst of laughter from the whole family.
Guan Wenru was both amused and exasperated. She tapped He Sheng on the shoulder and said, "You guys really know how to stir things up. Alright, I'll go prepare some soup to help you sober up."
