Guan Wenru was only gone for half an hour before she returned.
She knocked on the window.
Upon hearing the noise, Guan Wanxin immediately opened the window and let her climb in.
Seeing her return safely, Guan Wanxin finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Did you get things done?"
"It's all done." Guan Wenru rubbed her frozen hands and smiled. "Grandma, why didn't you even ask me what I was doing?"
"Grandma knows you're thinking things through. Do whatever you want, as long as you're safe, Grandma will support you."
Guan Wenru was deeply moved. She instinctively rushed over and hugged her, nuzzling her head against her grandmother's shoulder.
After rubbing against her, she realized something and quickly let go, taking a step back. "I'm covered in cold air, I can't let it get on you, Grandma, please get on the kang (heated brick bed) and drink some hot water to cool down."
Guan Wanxin chuckled, "It's not that scary. Hurry up and get on the kang (heated brick bed) to warm yourself up."
"Okay, I'll go wash up quickly and be right back."
She got quite a bit of mud on her body after that trip.
I need to change out of these clothes and take a good hot shower.
After cleaning up, she put on her pajamas, quickly climbed onto the kang (a heated brick bed), and snuggled up with her grandmother.
Guan Wenru took out a glass of orange juice from her spatial storage.
She drank with Guan Wanxin.
"Grandma, if I intentionally harmed someone, would you think I'm cruel?"
"No." Guan Wanxin answered without hesitation. "I know my granddaughter's personality. If she can make you kill them, then those people deserve to die."
Guan Wanxin was able to protect her entire family in the chaos of war, so what kind of soft-hearted person could she be?
In chaotic times, to survive, you have to be ruthless when necessary.

If her granddaughter hadn't wanted her to stay out of it, she would have risked her life long ago to shoot Han Haoxian and Zhao Mei.
Hearing her grandmother's words, Guan Wenru felt no burden. Her eyes crinkled into a smile, and she rested her head on Guan Wanxin's shoulder.
"Grandma, you are so good to me. Dad, Mom, brother, and younger brother are all good to me too. I hope you all will be well in this life so that I can be well too."
Guan Wanxin patted the back of her hand, "Okay, we all need to be well. As long as Grandma is alive, we will never allow anyone to bully my precious granddaughter."
The grandmother and grandson were having a warm chat when Zhao Mei from next door came to knock on the door.
"Grandma Guan, Wenru, are you asleep?"
Upon hearing Zhao Mei's voice, Guan Wanxin and Guan Wenru exchanged a glance, and the smiles on their faces vanished completely.
Guan Wenru sneered, "Grandma, you should read your book first."
She put the orange juice in her hand into the space, and then went to open the door.
Zhao Mei was dressed very lightly. As soon as Guan Wenru opened the door, she instinctively wanted to go inside. "Wenru, it's so boring here. I don't know anyone here, so I can only come to chat with you."
Seeing her trying to barge in, Guan Wenru raised her hand and shoved her shoulder. "Which drain wasn't shut off properly, and you climbed out again? Did I invite this filthy thing in? And you just barge in? Have you no shame?"
Zhao Mei paused for a moment, "Wenru, how could you say that? We're friends. It's really cold tonight. I've come to visit, won't you invite me in?"
"Zhao Mei, don't be so shameless, just state your purpose directly."
Zhao Mei is indeed shameless.
Even though Guan Wenru had already adopted this attitude, she was still smiling. Suddenly, she grabbed Guan Wenru's left hand and rolled up her sleeve.
Seeing Zhao Mei's blatant behavior, Guan Wenru laughed.
She pulled her hand back. "I'm really sorry to disappoint you. My bracelet is valuable, and I've already put it away. You can't touch it even if you want to."
She had already put the bracelet into her spatial storage.
If touching the bracelet allows the space to be transferred, wouldn't everything in the space benefit Zhao Mei?
She can't gamble!
Zhao Mei pursed her lips, her gloomy gaze fixed on Guan Wenru, deliberately lowering her voice, "You were also reborn, weren't you?"
Guan Wenru blinked. "What do you mean by that? What do you mean by rebirth? Does it mean your mother crawled out of her coffin, put you back in her belly, and gave birth to you again?"
"!!" Zhao Mei's face turned ashen, and she instinctively shoved Guan Wenru. "Are you sick in the head?"
Guan Wenru raised her hand and grabbed hers, then slapped her across the face. "Maybe so. When I have an episode, I can't control my hands and I'll hit people randomly."
After being slapped by Guan Wenru, Zhao Mei gritted her teeth and instinctively wanted to retaliate.
Guan Wenru pushed her back forcefully. "Zhao Mei, do you think you're qualified to act so wildly in front of me? I haven't held your affair with Han Haoxian against you, but if you keep showing up in front of me like this, I'm going to go to the commander. Han Haoxian is a man who started something and then abandoned it. He's of bad character and morally corrupt. Tell me, if my grandmother and I insist on getting justice, will Han Haoxian still be able to remain an officer?"
"You!" Zhao Mei gritted her teeth. "Your family can't even take care of itself, do you really think you still have that ability?"
Guan Wenru chuckled lightly, "Then let's make a bet and see if our Guan family still has the ability. You know how complicated your marriage with Han Haoxian has been. If Han Haoxian is no longer a military officer, do you think... in a few months, she will still be able to protect you?"
