Chapter 98 The Adopted Daughter Has Arrived
Taking care of a child is a very difficult task, and it's not something one person can handle alone. What's more, she's currently going through a tough postpartum period.
She is also a new mother and has a lot to learn.
Now that she has several people helping to take care of her child, it really makes things easier for her.
Mrs. Huo also helped change the diapers for the two babies, and the two babies looked very happy afterward.

These words drew the attention of two other people who came over to watch.
Back then, there were no photos, so Huo Chenzhou and Huo Chunyan didn't know what they looked like. Huo Chenzhou looked a little doubtful, but Huo Chunyan immediately concluded that she must look like the baby.
“I’m definitely just like Da Bao; I like her the moment I see her,” Huo Chunyan said.
They all seemed to genuinely love children; their eyes lit up every time they held a baby.
Shen Zhixia yawned, feeling a little sleepy.
Huo Chunyan and her mother coaxed the baby, and soon the baby fell asleep.
They placed the baby on the bed next to Shen Zhixia, and Shen Zhixia, looking at the baby with his eyes closed, also began to sleep.
Life went on peacefully, and no matter how chaotic things were outside, it seemed to have nothing to do with Shen Zhixia.

Huo Xinran said with a smile, "Well, Mom and my older sister are here, aren't they? What would I do if I stayed in the countryside alone? So I came to help out."
Before Huo Chenzhou could speak, Huo Xinran pushed open the door and walked in. She immediately saw Shen Zhixia, her eyes flashing with surprise before she smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, you are so beautiful."
Although she complimented Shen Zhixia on her beauty, her eyes darted around, and it was unclear what she was thinking.
Shen Zhixia also smiled and said, "You are very beautiful too."
Huo Xinran looked younger than Huo Chunyan, a girl of seventeen or eighteen. She wasn't particularly beautiful, but she had the youthful vibrancy of her age. She was wearing a blue cloth dress and carrying a floral cloth bag.
“Sister-in-law, I came here this time to help you take care of the baby. You’re in your postpartum period right now, so I can help out,” Huo Xinran said.
Shen Zhixia said, "Now that you're here, just stay here. My postpartum period is almost over, so don't worry about me too much."
Huo Xinran sat down in a chair, casually placed her bag on the table, and asked, "Where do I live?"
Shen Zhixia was taken aback. Huo Chunyan had always worked in the military camp. After she lost her job, she moved here with Huo Chunyan's consent. As for Huo's mother, Huo Chenzhou had asked her to take care of her. It was thanks to Huo's mother that Shen Zhixia was able to have such a free time.

Huo Chenzhou said, "Chunyan and Mom are living together now, but the bed isn't big enough for you."
"Then we need another room?" Huo Xinran asked, pointing to a small room.
Huo Chenzhou said, "That's a storage room."
Huo Xinran: "Then I'll just stay in the courtyard. I can just put a bed there."
"No, the courtyard is open-air and unsuitable for living," Huo Chenzhou refused outright.
Not to mention Huo Xinran, even Shen Zhixia noticed it.
Huo Chenzhou seems to dislike Huo Xinran. While his attitude towards Huo Chunyan wasn't good, there was still warmth in his words; it was clear they were siblings. But towards Huo Xinran…

Huo Xinran clenched her fists and said unwillingly, "Big brother, do you have a problem with me?"
Huo Chenzhou glanced at her but didn't say anything.
Huo Xinran originally wanted to question him, but after seeing Huo Chenzhou's expression, her heart sank.

She didn't dare offend Huo Chenzhou. If Huo Chenzhou really said he had a problem with her and sent her back to the countryside, that would be terrible. She would never go back to that place again.
"Big brother, then you can arrange it for me. I'm fine with living outside, but it can't be too far away," Huo Xinran compromised.
Huo Chenzhou hummed in agreement.
Huo Xinran asked, "Where are Mom and my sister? I haven't seen them."
"They went out to buy groceries," Huo Chenzhou said.
"Oh." Huo Xinran and Huo Chenzhou couldn't strike up a conversation and seemed uninterested.
She originally wanted to have a good talk with Shen Zhixia, but she and Shen Zhixia didn't have much in common.
She could only wait for Huo's mother and Huo Chunyan.
When Huo's mother returned and saw Huo Xinran, she smiled and said, "You're here."
Huo Xinran immediately said in a coquettish tone, "Mom, you came all by yourself without even asking me. Do you know how much I missed you?"
Mother Huo laughed and said, "You're so delicate. I was planning to go back after Zhixia finished her postpartum confinement, but you can't wait."
Huo Xinran said, "I don't care, I just want to live with you."
Mother Huo said, "Alright, then you can stay with me today."
She rolled her eyes and said, "But my brother said there's no room for me here. You and my sister will sleep together, so there's no room for me."
Huo Chunyan frowned upon hearing this.
Huo Chenzhou said, "I was just planning to find her a place to stay outside."
Huo Chunyan continued, "Then you can stay in my dorm. No one lives in my dorm right now."
Her dormitory room used to be a two-person room, but one person left, so now she lives alone.
