Jiang Si inexplicably wanted to try it, so the arms around the man's waist unconsciously tightened.
Almost simultaneously, Huo Tingzhou's body stiffened abruptly, and a short, muffled groan escaped his throat.
The air suddenly went quiet for a moment. He looked at the person in his arms with a blank expression, and it took him a while to find his voice.
"Wife...I..."
However, what he received in response was Jiang Si's satisfied look, as if she had just eaten her fill.
Jiang Si is not yet certain whether she can be 100% accurate.
But the satisfaction and pleasure brought by this hug are no less than the first sip of ice-cold cola; it's quite addictive.
No wonder Sister Hu had that expression when she said that.
Yes, she wants it again next time.
...
The next day, Huo Tingzhou got up early. He hadn't finished dealing with yesterday's matters yet, and he still had to go to the troupe to handle them today.
After washing up, he lowered his head and kissed Jiang Si's forehead.
"Stop fooling around~"
Jiang Si gave a vague reply, then turned over, hugged her pillow, and fell into a deep sleep.
That's the good thing about not having to work; you can sleep in as late as you want.
However, when she groggily opened her eyes and saw the time on her watch, she was still startled.
I wasn't tired yesterday, so how come it's already 10 o'clock!
Stepping out of the room, the house was as quiet as it had been yesterday.
There was a rice basket covered on the table, and a piece of paper next to it. Jiang Si picked it up and glanced at it.
Remember to eat breakfast when you wake up. I'm going to the troupe. Don't wait for me for lunch.
This handwriting is clearly Huo Tingzhou's.
There's another line below, left for her by her third uncle.
【Sisi, Ah Zhong and I went to the beach to shuck oysters. We might not be back until noon. Don't worry, Wei Dong and Wei Min are with us, we won't get lost.】
Upon seeing the words "oysters," Jiang Si immediately thought of last night.
I used to only hear people say how good this is for men.
As it turned out, they were right.
If she hadn't had a sudden thought yesterday and used the method taught by Sister Hu, it's hard to say whether she would have woken up at this time.
Lost in thought, I finished breakfast.
Jiang Si tidied up her house briefly and then threw herself into her work with her paintbrush.
The facial features database is now just one finishing touch, and she needs to finish it this month.
Jiang Si painted for almost four hours. If she hadn't heard the noise outside the door, she could have painted a little longer.
The window faced the courtyard, and Huo Tingzhou returned with two unfamiliar faces.
Jiang Si got up and went to the living room.
"Please have a seat, both of you," Huo Tingzhou said, looking at Jiang Si.
Jiang Si originally thought that he was going to introduce someone to her.
But to my surprise, his first words were: "Honey, didn't you eat lunch?"
Jiang Si was taken aback for a moment, "I'm not hungry..."
Before he could finish speaking, Huo Tingzhou had already frowned.
If the guests hadn't been there, Jiang Si would have glared at him. "A-Zhou, who are these two?"
While asking the questions, she quickly took out tea leaves from the cabinet.
"I'll do it."
Huo Tingzhou placed the brewed tea on the table before speaking.
"This is Section Chief Zhong from the Art Group of the Propaganda Department of the Division, and the person next to him is Comrade Ye Mingfeng, the chief painter in charge of this New Year mural."
Upon hearing that it was someone from the division's propaganda department, Jiang Si knew what was going on.
As she greeted them, Jiang Si sat down opposite them, saying, "Please have some tea, both of you."
Section Chief Zhong smiled and took the cup, looking somewhat embarrassed.
"I should have come to see Comrade Jiang a few days later, but there was a small problem with the mural group."
"We're all a bit undecided, so we've taken the liberty of coming here today to ask Comrade Jiang for some guidance."
Ye Mingfeng nodded in agreement, "That's right, that's right. We came here today with the intention of learning from Comrade Jiang, hoping to catch up with him as soon as possible."
"You two are too kind."
Jiang Si wasn't being modest; she was just not used to people speaking to her in that tone.
Especially when they say things that flatter her like that.
"Section Chief Zhong, I am also a member of the Fourth Division. It is my duty and my honor to contribute to the Fourth Division."
After saying that, Jiang Si looked at Ye Mingfeng and said, "I am still young and have a lot to learn. I really don't deserve to be called a mentor. We can exchange ideas more often."
The two nodded in agreement, and since time was of the essence, they didn't beat around the bush.
"Comrade Jiang, this is the theme of our creation this time. Please take a look."
Section Chief Zhong handed the documents he had brought to Jiang Si.
The Publicity Department of the Teachers' College created more than ten murals for this New Year theme.
But for some reason, after watching it, everyone felt that the content was somewhat monotonous.
Take last year's work as an example; their theme was "Island Guardians Celebrate a Bountiful Year".
The core scene is a vast blue sea, where a majestic destroyer is cutting through the waves.
White waves surged from the bow of the ship, and on the deck, groups of People's Liberation Army soldiers stood in neat formation, saluting the motherland and the people.
Strings of red lanterns hung from the mast behind them, fireworks bloomed in the sky, and several golden carp swam on the sea.
This year they created a similar one, but changed the theme to "Sailing Through the Waves to Bid Farewell to the Old Year" and replaced the destroyer with a frigate.
Then the red lanterns on the mast were replaced with red slogans.
Section Chief Zhong bluntly stated, "Overall, I only have one feeling: it's just old wine in old bottles, the same old tricks over and over again, with no innovation whatsoever."
