"See this V-shaped hole? That's where the razor clams are."
As he spoke, the third uncle squeezed some salt onto the razor clams, which were then stimulated and quickly crawled out of the sand.
Just as Jiang Si was happily picking them up, He Ping's exclamation rang out from behind her.
"Sisters, come quick! There are lots of swimming crabs in the crevice of this rock!"
"Where? Where?" Upon hearing that there were swimming crabs, Jiang Si forgot all about digging for razor clams.
"Here, here." Following the direction He Ping was pointing, Jiang Si looked closely.
Good grief, did we accidentally disturb the swimming crab's nest?
Judging by appearance, there are about twenty swimming crabs below, and each one weighs about one pound.
No wonder when I was digging for clams earlier, my little brother stared at me with a puzzled look.
Thinking this, Jiang Si quickly took out the fire tongs.
Luckily, she brought plenty of tools, otherwise she would be extremely annoyed.
The crevice in this rock was too deep; Jiang Si tried for a long time but couldn't get it to her side.
"Give it to me, I'll take care of it."
Seeing Huo Tingzhou approach, Jiang Si quickly handed him the tools.
I must say, having long arms is really impressive.
Within minutes of the fire tongs being in his hands, all the swimming crabs under the reef were caught in one fell swoop.
"Old Huo, the stove is already lit. Hurry up and bring some things back so we can start steaming," Commander Xiao shouted, hands on his hips.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Si quickly poured the clams, razor clams, and swimming crabs she had just dug into a bucket.
"Auntie, here you go~"
The Wei brothers, Wei Dong and Wei Min, had been struggling with the octopus, and all the ones they brought over were small octopuses.
This type doesn't require cleaning the internal organs; a simple rinse is sufficient.
Just then, Dingxiang and Xu Mingjuan also came over carrying buckets. The two of them had gone to the shallows to catch fish together.
In just a short while, the two of them had caught almost half a bucket of fish.
The fish weren't very big, but they were very fresh.
"Hey, where's Sister-in-law Hu?" Jiang Si looked around. Where did Teacher Hu go?
"mom--"
Upon realizing their mother was missing, the brothers Weidong and Weimin immediately started shouting at the top of their lungs.
"Yes, yes."
Hu Meili peeked out from under the distant rocks, saying, "There are so many gargoyles here. Wait for me a moment, I'll just shovel a couple more and that'll be enough to eat."
"By the way, anyone want to eat sea urchin?"
Hu Meili took a look and saw that there were quite a few sea urchins under the reef.
Upon hearing that there were sea urchins, Jiang Si immediately raised her hand, "Sister-in-law, wait a moment, I'll be right there."
"Slow down."
Huo Tingzhou wanted to go with her, but Jiang Si wouldn't let him.
If he follows me, how am I supposed to collect sea urchins into my spatial storage?
Besides, it's only a few steps away, what could possibly happen?
"Go grill your food, I'll be careful myself." Jiang Si gave him a reassuring look.
As she was going down, Hu Meili reached out and helped her.
Fortunately, she took the plunge, because when she went down and saw the entire area of gargoyles on the back of the reef...
Jiang Si felt a chill run down her spine and goosebumps rose all over her body.
Suppressing her discomfort, she quickly turned her face away: "Sister-in-law, where are the sea urchins?"
"That's it."
Hu Meili pointed and said, "There are a lot of them over there. Be careful when you go over there. There are a lot of rocks over there. Don't fall."
Jiang Si nodded.
Following the direction Teacher Hu pointed, she soon found a large patch of sea urchins.
In those days, sea urchins didn't have much of an audience, and even if you encountered them while beachcombing, no one would pick them up. Over time, the sea urchins just kept growing bigger and bigger.
Jiang Si gestured, noting that the sea urchins inside were almost the size of her fist.
Unlike fish, shrimp, and crabs, sea urchins are not troublesome; they simply attach themselves obediently to the underside of the rocks.
If she weren't afraid of pricking her hand, Jiang Si would have thrown away the fire tongs.
After picking up dozens of them, enough to eat, Jiang Si started storing them in her spatial storage.
If you walk any further, there's another large area.
Just as Jiang Si was lamenting that she couldn't pick them all up, there was no way she could finish.
She suddenly noticed something bulging and whitish from being soaked in seawater, stuck under the huge rock in front of her.
"What is this?" Jiang Si frowned.
After she removed the sea urchins and rock fragments attached to the outside, her pupils suddenly contracted.
It was a female corpse!
Due to being submerged in seawater and impacted by rocks, the body is currently severely swollen.
Her exposed skin was pale and wrinkled, and her facial features were so blurred and distorted that it was impossible to recognize her original appearance.
Jiang Si held her breath the moment she saw the body.
But the next second, she couldn't help but gag.
My stomach felt better only after I vomited up everything I ate that morning.
When Hu Meili saw that her face was pale and her expression was somewhat serious after she returned, her heart skipped a beat.
"What's wrong? Are you alright?"
"It's alright, let's go up first."
Sister-in-law Hu is pregnant, and Jiang Si didn't tell her because she was worried about scaring her.
Once the two returned to the shore, she pulled Huo Tingzhou aside.
"I found a female corpse down there. Go back to the unit and contact the police."
"A female corpse?" Huo Tingzhou looked over with a worried expression; no wonder her face looked so pale.
"I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me."
Jiang Si glanced at the time. "The tide will come in in an hour and a half. You need to hurry, or we might not be able to retrieve the body."
