Meng Yuan nodded, her face full of sarcasm.
"You have no idea how enthusiastic they were today. One minute they were asking us when we were going back, and the next they were saying how much they missed Rui Rui and Yao Yao."
"She also said that once we get back to Beijing, we must bring the children back to visit her parents' home."
Speaking of this, Meng Yuan couldn't help but laugh.
Since the birth of their two children, they haven't even had a single piece of fruit candy. How can they have the nerve to say they miss their children?
After listening, Lu Zhankai didn't say anything more.

"If you want to go back, I'll go with you to see them. My parents have prepared some things..."

Perhaps her mother really had difficulties back then.
But all she could do was not hate.
She had finally managed to crawl out of that muddy mess at her parents' house; they couldn't possibly drag her back in!

The main reason for this trip back to Beijing was to reunite with my family.
She didn't want her family's troubles to affect everyone's mood.

Lu Zhan brought over the food. "Eat quickly, and go to bed early after you finish eating. We need to leave early tomorrow morning."
Meng Yuan nodded.
She was angry all night, and now she was hungry.
The couple got up before four o'clock the next morning.
It takes more than three hours to get to the county town from here, and then another six hours by long-distance bus to get to Urumqi.
And so, the family of four endured a bumpy ride for more than ten hours.
Finally, at 4:30 pm the following day, they boarded the train bound for Beijing.

After more than twenty hours of rocking and swaying at sea, Jiang Si and her group arrived at Taikoo Wharf in Guangzhou that afternoon.
Jiang Si suffered from severe seasickness; her stomach began churning as soon as she boarded the ship.
The two little ones adapted well.
Perhaps they were used to sleeping in a rocking bed, but the two of them slept even better than usual during their time on the boat.
Huo Tingzhou and Jiang Si originally planned to stay in Guangzhou for one night.
However, train tickets are in high demand during the Chinese New Year.
The only available tickets for a soft sleeper compartment to Beijing are for today.
Fortunately, the departure time was 9:40 pm, so I could sleep as soon as I got on the bus.
To make it easier to take care of the child, Jiang Si and Huo Tingzhou stayed in the lower bunk.
After feeding the two children and changing their diapers, Jiang Si was so sleepy that she could barely keep her eyes open.
