Chapter 351 I Agree!

Chris was standing nearby while the two were talking, but she couldn't quite hear what they were saying.

Seeing Chi Heng holding the receiver, he looked somewhat dazed.

Chris took the receiver and hung it back up. "What were you two talking about?"

Chi Heng turned to the side, his expression becoming somewhat complicated.

But he didn't hide it from her after all.

He briefly recounted what had just happened and said, "My mother hopes we can sign the marriage authorization form as soon as possible."

Sign the marriage authorization form!

Chris's heart skipped a beat after hearing this.

If they sign the contract, wouldn't they be legally married?

This is so sudden!

But...she likes it so much!

It's a pity that Chi's mother wasn't a good mother-in-law; otherwise, she would have followed the Chinese customs and worshipped her three times a day, morning and evening!

Chi's mother: "..."

Thank you so much! I'm not dead yet!

Chi Heng had no idea what Chris was thinking. "Chris, given how fast my mother works, as long as this marriage authorization is sent back, we can complete the registration on the same day. Legally, we will be a married couple."

This has completely exceeded the scope of their original agreement to cooperate.

Chris tried to suppress the elation on her face, but found she couldn't.

So she stopped making things difficult for herself.

In front of Chi Heng, Chris covered her mouth and laughed out loud, "I know all that you're saying, and I agree!"

Chi Heng glanced at her, his expression growing increasingly complicated. "We need to talk to your father about this first."

Chris immediately said, "I'll go tell them."

She paused for a moment, then added, "Don't worry, my dad will definitely agree!"

Just then, a few clear coughs were heard outside the door.

Chris's father had a business dinner tonight and just arrived home. But as soon as he walked in, the housekeeper told him that Chris had taken Chi Heng upstairs.

Although they were engaged in name only, Chris's father had been working in China for more than ten years.

Both emotionally and in terms of interpersonal relationships, he felt that it wasn't appropriate for the two of them to be alone in a room at this hour.

Out of respect for the children, he did not push the door open and came in directly, but cleared his throat twice outside the door.

Chi Heng quickly got up and opened the door. "Uncle, hello."

Chris's father nodded.

I glanced at the two of them before entering.

Seeing that Chi Heng was neatly dressed and Chris looked normal, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He looked at his daughter and asked calmly, "What do you want to tell me?"

He vaguely heard words like "I'll go talk to them" and "They'll definitely agree" outside the door.

Chris didn't answer immediately, but instead winked quickly at Chi Heng.

It means he should leave quickly and leave the rest to her.

She has plenty of ways to control her father.

Chi Heng shook his head.

He bowed deeply to Chris's father, his attitude very sincere.

“Uncle, I just received a call from my mother. She's not feeling well and is very concerned about my marriage to Chris. She wants me to discuss it with you so that Chris and I can get married as soon as possible…”

“Dad, I agree!” Chris said immediately, afraid that her father would object. “We plan to sign the marriage decree tomorrow!”

Upon hearing this, Chris's father, who had just turned his back and was about to carefully consider the matter, was completely stunned!

What kind of girl is so eager to get what she wants?

He knew his daughter liked him.

I love it so much!

Marriage is not a child's play; it's not something that can be done simply by feeling fond of someone.

He was an experienced person, and he and Chris's mother had a love marriage.

How could he not see that Chi Heng's feelings for Chris were far from reaching the point of marriage?

I don't know what this silly girl is laughing and joking about all day long.

However, he couldn't say these things directly to his daughter, since she had been siding with outsiders for quite some time.

Suppressing these emotions, Chris's father looked at Chi Heng and said, "You, come with me for a moment."

With that, he turned his back and walked towards the study first.

Seeing this, Chris quickly winked at Chi Heng, "You don't need to worry about it, just go ahead, I'll take care of it later."

Chi Heng shook his head again.

There were some things he had to explain to Chris's father in person; it was the least he could do to show respect.

"Don't worry, we'll talk it over properly."

After saying this, Chi Heng straightened his clothes and calmly followed.

The study door was custom-made and has excellent sound insulation.

Chris was worried, so she put her ear close to her ear and listened for a long time, but she couldn't hear anything.

She paced around in place for almost an hour before the study door finally opened from the inside.

Chi Heng was the first to come out.

His expression didn't seem to have changed much since he went in.

"So, did my dad agree?"

Chi Heng smiled and nodded, "It's getting late, you should get some rest."

As they were talking, Chris's father also got up and came out.

Chi Heng nodded slightly, his attitude still respectful. "Uncle, I'll head back now. You should get some rest too."

Chris still had a lot of questions to ask, and she wasn't about to let him leave like that, so she quickly said, "Dad, I'll go see him off!"

"Come back!" Chris's father called out to his daughter impatiently.

Since he had already spoken, Chris couldn't very well refuse her father's request.
