The Su family caused a scene in the family compound all morning.
Not only were they unable to rescue Su's father, but the other members of the family were also all detained in the detention center.
Upon hearing this news, Su Shanshan was so angry that she trembled all over and smashed everything on the bedside table.
The sudden sound startled Huo Tingtao, and he was about to give Su Shanshan a wink.
Unfortunately, Su Shanshan was in a fit of anger and didn't even want to look at him.

"Huo Tingtao, I've been with you since I was eighteen, and I've been pregnant seven times!"
"I gave you three sons, what have I done to wrong the Huo family?"
"I'm sorry about this, but Mom and Dad have their own difficulties too..."
"What difficulties do they have! Aren't they just afraid of offending the third brother?"
Su Shanshan interrupted him directly, "I told you before that they favor the third son, but you didn't believe me!"
“Now the third son and his wife are taking advantage of us, how long are you going to keep deceiving yourself?”
"I'm just asking you, are you going to get involved in my family's affairs or not?"
"Shanshan, can you please stop making a scene—"
"Fine, fine, you're not going to do anything about it, are you?"
Su Shanshan wiped away her tears: "It's all because my family isn't as capable as the third brother's family, which is why you've treated my family like dirt time and time again."
"Fine, if that's the case, then let's get a divorce!"
Upon hearing this, Huo Tingtao raised his head, his eyes devoid of any emotion.
"What did you say? Say it again!"
"I'll say it ten times, and I'll still say it: let's get a divorce!"
Su Shanshan didn't want a divorce, but this was her only bargaining chip now.
She knew that her father-in-law, as well as the people from the second and fourth wives' families, were all listening downstairs.
So Su Shanshan said that last sentence very loudly.
She was already mentally prepared that these people would definitely come upstairs to try and reconcile them after hearing this.
But after waiting for several minutes, there was still no movement downstairs.
Forced into a corner, Su Shanshan had no choice but to raise the stakes again.
"You don't need to say anything more, I'm definitely getting a divorce."
"I don't want anything else, but the three children, Jingxuan, Jingyi, and Jinglin, are mine. I'll take them with me."
"Anyway, they don't even have a room to live in this house, so their presence here will only be an eyesore to some people."
"Once we get divorced, all the children will take my surname. Just wait and see if your son will call someone else 'Dad'!"
Suddenly, a snapping sound rang out.
"Huo Tingtao, you hit me? You actually hit me! I'll fight you to the death—"
Upon hearing this, Yang Meina, the second son's wife, became restless.
"How could my brother do this? My sister-in-law just had a miscarriage, how could he lay a hand on her..."
Before she could finish speaking, Su Shanshan came downstairs with a pale face.
She didn't even glance at the other houses before leaving the Huo family's gate.
Before long, Huo Tingtao also came down dejectedly.
With a thud, he knelt down in front of Mr. Huo.
"Brother, get up first."
The second and fourth brothers each grabbed one of his arms.

Mr. Huo opened his mouth to speak when a sharp female voice suddenly came from outside the door.
"Tingtao, get up first. A real man doesn't just kneel on the ground like that."
The person who came with the voice was a middle-aged woman in her fifties.
The other person had short, ear-length hair, narrow eyes, and high-arched eyebrows, and looked very capable.
Huo Tingtao shook his head, refusing to get up: "Aunt, I was wrong about this."
"We'll talk about whether it's right or wrong later. Get up first! The ground is cold."
Huo's cousin pulled the person up without saying a word.
However, when she saw the red streaks on Huo Tingtao's face, she instantly exploded.
"What happened to your face? Who scratched it?!"
"Was it done by that little slut Shanshan?"
That must be it. No wonder she ran out crying just now, and didn't even say hello when she saw me.
What a lack of upbringing!
Huo's cousin said angrily, "Brother, you really are something. Tingtao is, after all, the eldest son and grandson of the Huo family. There are so many people in the family. You should give him some face."
"And you guys too, you didn't even try to persuade your dad when he was angry. You just stood there and did nothing. Is that how you brothers act?"
