Chapter 153 Drunkenness

Chapter 153 Drunkenness

After seeing all his friends off, Xiang Yun returned to his booth and saw Xu Songning sitting in his seat, staring intently at the card.

"Want to see?" Xiang Yun pressed his finger on the card.

Xu Songning looked up at him, her eyes shining with dazzling light, lively and charming, her fair skin tinged with pink, and her eyes containing a hint of intoxication.

"I want to see." Xu Songning grabbed his hand. Her skin was hot, but her grip was soft and gentle.

Xiang Yun leaned down to look at her, touched her cheek with the back of his hand to check her temperature, and asked in a deep voice, "Where did you get a drink? Are you drunk?"

"I'm not drunk," Xu Songning shook his head.

If you ask a drunk person if they are drunk, they will most likely say they are not.

Xiang Yun extended his hand to her, "Let's go home."

Xu Songning stared blankly at his hand, without answering him.

"Can you get up by yourself?" Xiang Yun asked her patiently.

Xu Songning didn't answer. Instead, she grabbed his hand, pressed it against her face, closed her eyes, and sighed, "So cool, so comfortable."

Xiang Yun held the ice glass, which was much cooler than the temperature of the drunkard, and pressed it against her face to cool her down.

Seeing Xu Songning's different appearance from others, his heart softened. He sat down next to her, and his other hand couldn't help but touch her hair. The curls were perfect, brushing against her cheek and outlining a breathtaking beauty.

Xu Songning leaned against his shoulder, comfortably squinting her eyes, using his hand to cool herself down, unwilling to move. No matter what Xiang Yun said, she stubbornly refused to leave.

Xiang Yun sighed. Drunk Sister Xu was really unreasonable.

"Don't you want to see the cards?" Xiang Yun picked up the card, and Xu Songning finally responded, her eyes following the card as she said, "I want to see them."

"If you want to see it, then go home obediently, okay?" Xiang Yun put the card into his pocket.

Xu Songning whispered, "Mine."

Xiang Yun didn't hear clearly, so he pressed his ear closer. "What?"

Before Xu Songning could speak, something warm and moist swept quickly across the thinnest part of his ear.

Xiang Yun sat up straight, her shoulder bumping into Xu Songning's forehead as she did the wrong thing. She cried out, "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"

Xiang Yun was so agitated that his blood boiled and he could no longer remain calm. It was as if there were needles embedded in the cushion, making him restless.

If we don't get him out of the bar soon, it's hard to imagine what kind of "immoral" things this drunkard might do.

He took out a card from his pocket, and sure enough, Xu Songning's gaze immediately followed it, more effective than anything else.

"Are you that curious?" Xiang Yun shook his head and sighed. Xu Songning didn't need to say anything; her reaction was enough to give him the answer.

He asked, "I'd like to see your cards, may I?"

Xu Songning nodded vigorously.

Xiang Yun uncovered the card that was under the jar. It wasn't an ace, nor a three of hearts; it was just an ordinary card.

"What card do I have?" Xu Songning shifted his position and sat down next to Xiang Yun, resting his chin on his body. Xiang Yun's neck was covered in Xu Songning's hot breath, making his hair stand on end.

A passerby happened to be passing by the booth and glanced over, just in time to see that the cards in Xiang Yun's hand matched his own.

"Hey bro, whose card is this?" the passerby exclaimed in surprise. He came to the bar to pick up girls; roses meant nothing to him. If he could take a girl away from the bar, tonight would be really interesting!

Xiang Yun didn't intend to pay him any attention, but the man persisted, especially after seeing Xu Songning's drunken state, he couldn't wait to reveal his true colors.

"Look! I'm paired with this card! This card belongs to this girl, right?" The passerby's smile was lewd; you could tell what he was thinking just by moving your toes.

“No.” Xiang Yun frowned.

"Yes... um!" Before Xu Songning could finish speaking, Xiang Yun covered her mouth, and she blinked innocently.

"Hey buddy, is this your girlfriend? Why are you protecting her like this? Didn't you hear the rules of the game today? This is between her and me." The passerby started acting like a scoundrel. He could tell that the card definitely belonged to this pretty woman.

Although the people around her looked tall and imposing, he felt a little insecure, but he still didn't want to miss this good opportunity.

"Whether she's my girlfriend or not is none of your business," Xiang Yun said coldly, tearing the card in half.

Passersby stared wide-eyed, but no matter how much they widened their eyes, which were as small as mung beans, it was to no avail.

Xiang Yun suddenly stood up. His height of 1.8 meters was quite advantageous. As soon as he stood in front of the passerby, the passerby immediately dropped his sleazy demeanor, tucked his tail between his legs and ran away, afraid that Xiang Yun would chase after him and beat him up.

A warm body pressed against him from behind, and the chin rested on Xiang Yun's shoulder.

Xu Songning became unusually clingy after drinking, so Xiang Yun had to keep her within a meter of him.

"Go home," Xiang Yun said helplessly.

"Go home." Xu Songning repeated softly, "Did I repeat it correctly, Captain Xiang?"

A smile appeared in Xiang Yun's eyes, and all traces of impatience vanished. He replied softly, "Repeated correctly, Sister Xu."

Xiang Yun supported the drunkard with one hand and opened the car door with the other, shoving the man into the car.

Unfortunately, Xu Songning was restless. She rolled down the car window and stared at him intently, "Where are you going?"

Xiang Yun was both amused and exasperated. He pointed to the opposite side and said, "I'll go get the car."

"oh."

Xiang Yun tentatively took two steps toward the back seat, and sure enough, Xu Songning asked again, "Where are you going?"

He didn't answer, so Xu Songning continued, "Where are you going?"

"Drive," Xiang Yun replied, taking two steps toward the front of the car. Xu Songning's gaze followed him, but she didn't ask any more questions.

Xiang Yun discovered a pattern: as long as he was within her sight, she would not ask the same question again.

Xiang Yun took three steps at a time and walked around from the front of the car to the driver's seat.

He got into the car, and Xu Songning behaved himself considerably, rolling up the car window again.

If it weren't for her face still being unnaturally flushed and her eyes not being glazed over, Xiang Yun would have suspected she was faking being drunk. But if she was faking it, then Sister Xu's acting skills were too good; she could easily enter the entertainment industry.

"Seatbelt," Xu Songning reminded him, pulling out a section of the seatbelt but not buckling it properly.

Xiang Yun tugged at the safety on his side and deliberately said, "Mine is here."

"What about mine?" Xu Songning asked, clutching the seatbelt. Her tone was a little anxious, which sounded particularly endearing.

She tugged at the seatbelt in her hand and found that she could pull it. So she patiently tugged at it a few more times and finally pulled the seatbelt to the right length.

There seemed to be a blurry image in front of me, and two seatbelt slots appeared.

She poked at the seatbelt slot several times, but didn't hear the familiar click sound; the seatbelt popped out of her hand again.

Xu Songning relentlessly poked at the open ground, determined to get the seatbelt in.

"I'll do it." Seeing her serious expression, Xiang Yun was afraid she would get impatient if he poked her a few more times, so he held her hand and finally pushed the seatbelt into the slot.

“The seatbelt is a bit difficult to fasten today because there are two slots,” Xu Songning explained to him carefully.
