Chapter 35 Abdominal muscles are actually soft

This movement tensed his upper body muscles, and even through his white shirt, the muscle lines were clearly defined, exuding a powerful masculinity. It was an extremely simple movement, but Xiang Yun performed it with extraordinary grace.

Xu Songning blinked, unsure where to look, so she simply stared straight at his hand.

With the fourth button of his shirt undone, a large expanse of skin was exposed. The man had a great physique, fair skin, and well-defined, bulging pectoral and abdominal muscles.

Xiang Yun boldly displayed his physique, leaning back in his chair with a deep gaze, "Little liar, didn't you want to touch me?"

"You really want me to touch you?" Xu Songning moved at will, her fingers lightly landing on his lower abdomen, skimming over it like a dragonfly touching the water.

It feels good. Xu Songning thought to himself.

I pressed two fingers on my bulging abs and felt them. They were a bit firm, but with the unique smoothness of human skin, they felt really nice to touch.

“Your abs are actually soft.” Xiang Yun held her hand and placed his palm on his abdomen. With each breath, the muscles changed with his breathing, and Xu Songning could clearly feel the change in the hardness of the muscles under her hand.

The feeling was so wonderful that it made the air between the two of them feel hot.

"Brother Yun has a pretty good physique, haha. You... change your clothes first." Seeing that he still hadn't reacted, Xu Songning tickled his lower abdomen. Xiang Yun shuddered and immediately let go of her hand.

"Wow, so Yun-ge is ticklish." Xu Songning laughed, turning around. "Okay, I won't tease you anymore, let's change your clothes."

Xiang Yun didn't speak, only the sound of him taking off his clothes could be heard. Xu Songning's mind wandered, she closed her eyes and let out a soft breath. So hot!

"alright."

Xiang Yun only changed his shirt and put on the jacket he brought with him, since there was another person in the car and it wasn't convenient to change his pants.

The two switched to the front seats, and Xu Songning felt inexplicably guilty. If an acquaintance passed by, they might misunderstand and think they were doing something shady in the back seat, especially the well-read Lu Xiaomeng.

She glanced around furtively before getting into the car.

As Xiang Yun prepared to drive, Xu Songning, sitting in the passenger seat, glanced at him and seemed to notice something, then paused in surprise.

"Brother Yun, why are your shirt buttons different? The second button seems... a little different from the others." Xu Songning felt the buttons looked familiar, but couldn't remember where he had seen them before.

"I took it to the dry cleaners, and the staff called me to tell me that a button was missing. They didn't have the exact same one, so they found a similar one to replace it," Xiang Yun explained.

The design of the buttons was indeed quite unique, with frosted four-pointed stars. Each button had recessed patterns on its corners that converged towards the center. The replacement button was just an ordinary frosted four-pointed star, but the sharp-eyed Xu Songning noticed the difference at a glance.

"Is it that obvious? I won't wear it next time." Xiang Yun noticed that she was staring at his chest and tugged at his shirt.

"No, it wasn't obvious. It's just that we were close by, so I noticed." Xu Songning glanced at him and said confidently, "You look good in black too, Brother Yun."

Xiang Yun drove smoothly, "Then what wouldn't look good on you?"

"I haven't seen any ugly combinations yet," Xu Songning said with a smile.

The work group was sending messages again. Xu Songning looked down to deal with the messages. By the time she finished, her car was already parked in the parking space, next to her car.

"Hey, Yun-ge, I almost forgot what my mom told me to do. Are you busy later?" Xu Songning unbuckled his seatbelt and looked at Xiang Yun.

Xiang Yun turned off the screen, but the message from Gu Xing inviting him to go out was still in the chat box. "It's nothing, is there anything you need, Auntie?"

"I'll treat you to dinner." Xu Songning walked around and patted the driver's side window. The window slid down, revealing Xiang Yun's face. His deep features were hidden in half of the darkness, appearing and disappearing intermittently.

"Please do me the honor, Brother Yun." Xu Songning opened the car door and looked at him with a smile.

Xiang Yun walked to the elevator with empty hands, turned to leave, but was stopped by Xu Songning.

"Where are you going?" Xu Songning was puzzled. He had just agreed, so why did he suddenly change his mind when he got to the elevator?

Men are so fickle?

"I'm going to buy something." Xiang Yun spread his arms. "It's not good to go to your house empty-handed, especially since your mother cooks."

Upon hearing this, Xu Songning laughed. It turned out that Xiang Yun wanted to bring gifts over. This wouldn't do. It looked like a formal meeting with the parents.

"No need! My mom will just make something simple to eat. Besides, if you bring things over, doesn't that make you my boyfriend?" Xu Songning put her hands behind her back and leaned closer to him.

Xiang Yun paused for a second, then pressed the elevator button.

Once Xu Songning spoke, he realized that he had given him a choice.

If he really went to buy something, wouldn't the two of them have to confront their ambiguous relationship right now and move on to the next stage of their relationship?

Xu Songning, you're really bold. Xu Songning chuckled inwardly, stealing a glance at Xiang Yun's expression. He stood there casually, his back ramrod straight, even the strands of his hair seemed serious. Upon closer inspection, one would find that he was lost in thought.

What a strange person. Faced with such an ambiguous choice, he chose to just sit there in a daze.

But being in a daze is also cute.

"Brother Yun, the elevator has arrived," Xu Songning reminded him softly.

Xiang Yun seemed to wake up from a dream and went out first, saying, "I'll go home first, put my suitcase down, and change my clothes."

"Oh, are you shy?" Xu Songning asked from behind him, but unexpectedly, the person in front of him quickened his pace a few steps.

She was so happy she almost burst out laughing; it turned out her earlier daze was really just shyness.

The two opened their own doors. Xu Songning stood in the doorway and beckoned to him with her finger, "Knock on the door later."

"Hmm." Xiang Yun calmly closed the door, completely blocking his figure.

Xu Songning happily changed into her slippers and turned around to smell a fragrance that reminded her of the warmth of her childhood. There were only a few short years of family warmth during her childhood. Later, her mother became increasingly busy, and her father, though not busy, was unwilling to return to the family. She didn't know how long it had been since she had smelled the aroma of her own family's cooking when she came home.

Her eyes were a little wet, so she quickly took out her phone to look at them and blinked.

Ms. Xu was cooking in the kitchen, and the heat was just right, so she called out at the top of her lungs, "Honey? Is that you back?"

"Mom, I'm home." Xu Songning took off her coat and put her bag on the shelf by the door.

"Hey? Where's your colleague? Didn't they come with you?" Ms. Xu ladled the food into a bowl and poked her head out to look around.

"He went home to change his clothes. He lives right across the street, very close by." Xu Songning leaned over, looking at the freshly cooked spicy stir-fried pig ears, and couldn't resist reaching out his hand.

Ms. Xu playfully patted her hand, "Still as greedy as when you were a child? Aren't you afraid of burning your hand again?"

"I'm not afraid, my mom will put medicine on me." Xu Songning laughed. When she was little, she was greedy. As soon as a pot of sweet and sour pork came out of the oven, she would try to squeeze it with her bare hands. She would burn her fingertips until they turned red and a big blister appeared. Even blowing on it would make her tremble with pain.

Ms. Xu held her in her arms and carefully applied the medicine. After a week of application, the blister finally subsided.

"Hey, you mean he lives right across the street? Across the hall? You're neighbors?" Ms. Xu asked, holding a spatula, her eyes full of doubt. "Sweetie, if you're dating him, just tell your mom. Mom is very open-minded. A captain is a captain, as long as you like him."
