Chapter 1011: The Stone House Under the Water

After coming out of Schroeder's bar, the group strolled to the west of Venosta, where they saw the diving equipment and yacht rental shop that Schroeder had mentioned.

The man who could be called "Old Waltz" by Schroeder who was over fifty years old must be quite old. Yang Jing estimated that the old man must be at least 75 if not 80. However, this old man with white hair and wrinkles on his face had good eyesight and hearing, and was in good health.

However, this old man was not as talkative as Schroeder. When he first heard that Yang Jing and his team wanted to rent several dry diving suits and a large enough yacht, the old man expressed his confusion as to why these young people wanted to go diving in this season, but then he readily prepared all the equipment that Yang Jing and his team needed.

For a total of seven sets of dry diving suits and a two-day use of a 30-foot-long yacht, Yang Jing needed to pay the spirited old man a full 6,000 Swiss francs, which was about 40,000 national currency. This was also largely related to Yang Jing's request for one of his own people to drive the yacht. He paid an extra 1,000 Swiss francs to get old Waltz to agree, otherwise the yacht could only be driven by old Waltz's son.

Although this place is relatively remote and there are not many tourists, the local residents still sharpen their knives quite sharply...

A thirty-foot yacht is only a little over nine meters long. If yachts are really classified according to their size, a yacht of this size would be a small yacht at best.

However, this yacht is not a sports yacht in the usual sense, that is, a yacht that can only carry a few people and rush on the sea. This boat is more like a sightseeing boat than a yacht.

Obviously, this boat has been modified. After all, this is just a reservoir, and it is not a very large reservoir. It is not the vast ocean, nor is it a natural lake of dozens or hundreds of square kilometers. In such a small reservoir, the boats used to carry tourists for sightseeing, in addition to the sports speedboats, are this modified yacht that can be used for both fishing and sightseeing.

Although the ship is not big, its displacement is estimated to be only a few dozen tons, and it has a fully sealed cabin. Yang Jing and his group of fourteen people can squeeze in, but it is not very comfortable.

However, Yang Jing and his friends did not rent the boat for enjoyment. They were planning to investigate the underwater situation, so it didn't matter if they were a little crowded.

Morris and his friends could just pick anyone to drive this yacht, and they didn't have to worry about the driver. But there were only seven sets of dry diving suits, and Gege wanted to go down with them to have a look, plus Yang Jing, so there were only five of Morris and his group of rough guys who could go into the water.

After the yacht left the dock, it first pretended to go deep into the lake, and then dropped anchor about 300 meters away from the east shore of the lake. Yang Jing, Gege and five other bodyguards put on diving suits and went into the water one by one.

The water temperature at this time was less than ten degrees, which is a very low water temperature. If I hadn't worn a dry diving suit, I would probably not be able to bear it.

After getting into the water, Yang Jing felt that the water here was so damn clear. When he was looking at the lake from the boat just now, he already felt that the water was very clear. But when he really got into the water, this feeling became even more obvious.

No wonder Kevin Martin kept complaining that he couldn't catch any fish. How could there be any fish in such clear water?

If the water is too clear, there will be no fish. If the lake or river water is too clear, you really won’t be able to see any fish.

How clear is the lake water here? Not finding any fish is only one aspect. After Yang Jing went into the water and dived to a depth of more than ten meters, he could still see the sun and the yacht in the sky through the water. If he looked down, he could see the bottom of the lake below.

In other words, the water transparency in this lake is at least over fourteen meters!

This is a rather scary number. The transparency of water is not the transmittance of light. In high-quality lakes or seas, sunlight can easily penetrate hundreds of meters of sea water, but the transparency is different.

Transparency refers to how many meters below the water surface the human eye can see clearly. For example, the lakes with the highest transparency in the world are Lake Mashu in Japan and Lake Baikal. The transparency of the water in these two lakes exceeds 40 meters, which is an extremely rare transparency. Of course, this is also because these two lakes are very deep.

In China, the lakes with the highest transparency are Mafamu Co Lake and Nam Co Lake in Tibet. The transparency of these two lakes is only about fourteen meters due to the water depth.

However, in this Lake Resia, you can actually see all the way to the bottom of the lake from the surface. Even though the depth here is only twelve or thirteen meters, the transparency is already scary.

Of course, this is when the sun is shining brightly. If the lighting conditions are not good, you can't see the bottom of the lake here either.

However, this place is about 300 meters away from the shore, and there are no other yachts around, so Yang Jing and his friends don't have to worry about being seen by others.

Diving into the water, many stone buildings of different sizes and heights immediately appeared in front of us. These buildings sank there quietly and motionlessly, as if telling something.

This must be Venosta before it was submerged by the lake. Under the sunlight, Yang Jing and his companions could even see half of the submerged village.

Yang Jing made a gesture to a few people and swam towards the northeast corner of the village first. Gege followed Yang Jing closely.
