The skin of the jadeite raw stones in the Damukan mining area is mostly brown-gray and yellow-red. Generally, the water and bottom are good, but there is mostly white and yellow fog. Generally speaking, the size is relatively small, usually about one or two kilograms.
The 4,000-plus pieces of raw jade weigh less than eight tons, which is consistent with the characteristics of jadeite raw jade produced in the Damukan mining area. However, it is hard to believe that nearly 4,000 people dug for a year to dig out such a small amount of raw jade.

Among the six major mining areas currently, Damukan Mining Area has the largest output, producing less than one thousand tons of jadeite raw stones a year. The remaining five major mining areas together produce about two thousand tons of jadeite raw stones a year.
Of course, this does not mean that the miners here only dig out 2,000 tons of jadeite raw stones a year. In fact, these miners dig stones day and night, and the amount of stones dug out a year is in the hundreds of thousands of tons, but most of these stones are not jadeite raw stones.
Each mining site has many stone-selecting masters who specialize in selecting jadeite raw stones. These excavated stones are passed through these masters several times. Only a very small number of jadeite raw stones will be picked out by these stone-selecting masters and stored in the warehouse. Most of the remaining stones will be piled up in the ore landfill.
Just like the hill-like stone mountain that Yang Jing and Wu Qinmao saw on the way to the warehouse just now, it was actually a mineral landfill, filled with all the waste minerals left over by the stone selection masters.
Of course, there may be some missed jadeite ores in these ore dumps, so there are always many women and children picking up stones in the ore dumps, hoping to make unexpected discoveries. However, these dumps also have owners, and everyone who enters the dumps must pay a fee. Although the stones picked up belong to you, you still have to pay a tax to take any stone from the dump away.
After thinking of these data, Yang Jing finally felt relieved. His mine was the youngest in the entire Damukan mining area. In just one year, he had dug out one seventh of the jadeite raw stones in the entire Damukan mining area. This achievement was definitely worthy of praise.
