Chapter 342 Old Furniture in the Warehouse

"Host, please note that although I can guide you out of most things, there are some unique things that I am still powerless to do, such as the imperial seal. So when the host chooses old objects, if there is an irreconcilable contradiction, I will still warn you. I hope you will also pay attention to this!"

It seems that some things are still not allowed, but at least the conditions have been relaxed a lot.

As for the legendary thing like the Imperial Seal, hehe... Yang Jing doesn't even dare to think about it now!

The loopholes in the speculation did not turn out to be completely true. To be honest, this situation made Yang Jing somewhat disappointed.

But thinking about it makes me feel relieved. The Holy Ring once said that although the original owner who made it lived in a global unified environment, he must have thought about the issue of nationality, otherwise there would not be a "regional" rule. (PS: There is an explanation about regionality in Chapter 192, so I won't go into details here.)

Since there are even "regional" rules, it means that the original owner of the holy ring must have considered this issue, but it is probably not considered very thoroughly, so that a loophole that is not really a loophole appeared.

However, although it has not been proven that this loophole is completely valid, the current situation is much better than before.

In the past, whenever there was an old object that could potentially trigger a time-space paradox, Yang Jing would avoid it as far away as possible, let alone buy it. He even spent a huge amount of time to implement the big plan he had formulated before, and most of it was done by foreigners, for fear of triggering a time-space paradox.

Now that I have become a foreigner, the possibility of time-space paradox being triggered is greatly reduced. Although I can't buy those old items without scruples, at least I can have room for choice.

For example, this bed inlaid with hundreds of treasures. If it were before, I would have avoided it as far away as possible, because this thing would definitely cause a time-space paradox.

But now, the holy ring only consumed a part of its energy and led to another almost identical Arhat bed inlaid with treasures. So I bought this Arhat bed and let Master Ma continue to buy the Arhat bed placed in the cafeteria. This not only satisfied my desire to buy old items, but also avoided the occurrence of time and space paradox. This is already a very good result.

However, doing so is obviously not worth the cost, as it not only consumes about 2% of the cultural treasures, but these treasures cannot be absorbed from this treasure-inlaid Arhat bed. This is equivalent to exchanging 2% of the cultural treasures for a late Ming Dynasty sea yellow treasure-inlaid Arhat bed.

This bed inlaid with hundreds of treasures is indeed very precious, but for Yang Jing, this bed is obviously not as precious as the 2% of cultural treasures. Not to mention that there is a bed inlaid with hundreds of treasures made of small-leaf red sandalwood from the Ming Dynasty in the basement of the Hai Siheyuan. That bed is much more precious than this bed!

If it involves wasting natural energy, Yang Jing would definitely not hesitate to do so. After all, there are ways to replenish natural energy, but cultural energy is much more precious than natural energy.

However, I spent 2% of my cultural treasures to prove such a semi-valid loophole, and also gained a late Ming Dynasty inlaid Luohan bed with various treasures. The quality of this bed is much better than the one in the cafeteria, so it is not a loss all in all.

Moreover, in this warehouse there is not only such a very good-quality Luohan bed inlaid with various treasures, but Yang Jing also found a pair of small-leaf red sandalwood armchairs, four old sea yellow round chairs, and an old sea yellow Eight Immortals table. In a corner of the warehouse, Yang Jing also found a complete set of twelve screens inlaid with various treasures and depicting Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, made by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty with red sandalwood filigree enamel and royal blue as the base.

This discovery almost made Yang Jing's face burst into joy.

In addition to the pair of small-leaf red sandalwood armchairs and the Eight Immortals Table made of old sea yellow, the four old sea yellow armchairs and the red sandalwood cloisonné enamel and Ming sapphire blue inlaid with various treasures and twelve screens of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea made by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, their value and preciousness are far beyond the reach of the inlaid Arhat bed.

Yang Jing remembers very clearly that at the "Golden Years - The Private Collection of An Siyuan" auction held by Christie's in New York in 2015, a set of four old Shanghai yellow armchairs from the Ming Dynasty were sold at a sky-high price of nearly US$9.7 million, equivalent to 60.64 million in national currency.

Moreover, this style of armchair is obviously different from other shapes of armchairs. First of all, these four armchairs have perfectly curved chair rings; secondly, they have unique and finely carved hook-shaped armrests; finally, the backrest of each armchair is made of three hollow carvings.

The four armchairs in front of us, in terms of appearance and craftsmanship, are no different from the four armchairs that were sold at sky-high prices. It is obvious that these four armchairs should have been made in the same period or even by the same person as those four armchairs.

The most important thing is that in the original time and space, there are only eight Ming Dynasty old Haihuang armchairs of the same style in the world! The other four are in the hands of foreigners.

These four armchairs can be said to be the only set of four armchairs found in China!

As for the set of twelve folding screens with rosewood cloisonné enamel, royal blue ground and inlaid with various gems and depicting the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, made by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, its value is even more extraordinary!

Also in 2015, at an auction held by Yanjing Poly, an eight-panel folding screen with blue-ground inlaid rosewood enamel and flowers of the four seasons, made by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty and collected by a family of a diplomat in Normandy, France, was sold at a sky-high price of 30.75 million national currency.

The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea screen in front of us is obviously taller than the Four Seasons Flower Screen in terms of both size and workmanship. This Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea screen has twelve panels, four more than the Four Seasons Flower Screen, and is also taller, about 2.2 meters.
