Chapter 725 The Most Perfect Cone

Yang Jing suddenly discovered that since he got the holy ring, not only his intuition has become much sharper, but even his mouth has begun to resemble Clark's, and he has almost become the legendary "crow's mouth".

The party on the yacht was pretty good, and the atmosphere was lively enough. After eating and drinking, Yang Jing went back to the room with his wife, but Clark and the others couldn't sleep. These energetic guys tossed around all night, and when Yang Jing woke up the next morning, he found that the yacht had unknowingly passed through the San Bernardi Strait between the Bicol Peninsula and Samar Island in the southeast of Luzon Island and entered the Pacific Ocean.

No wonder I always felt a little uneasy when I slept at night, as if I was always drifting on the water. It turned out that these energetic guys actually drove the boat overnight and sailed more than 150 nautical miles in just five or six hours. This boat really drifted on the sea all night...

Today's destination is located on the easternmost island of the Philippines, which is Catanduanes Island.

This island is not big, about half the size of Marinduque Island. There are no large islands eastward from this island, so this island can be regarded as the easternmost point of the Philippines.

Because this island is located at the easternmost tip of the Philippines, whenever a typhoon comes from the Pacific Ocean, this island is always the first island in the Philippines to be hit by the typhoon, so this island is also called the "Land of the Cold Wind".

Except for the two slightly flat coastal areas in the northeast and southwest corners, the rest of the island is mountainous. Although the highest peak on the island is only one thousand meters, mountains of five or six hundred meters can be seen everywhere.

Yang Jing and his team's first stop on the island was Bilak, the capital of Catanduanes Province, a coastal city located on the southwest end of the island and also the largest city on the island.

Bilak is located on the northwest side of Cabugao Bay, but this city, which accounts for half of the island's population, has only two piers, one of which is for ferries and fishing boats, and the other is a private yacht pier, which is said to have been built with money from a Filipino fishing tycoon.

The hometown of this fishing tycoon is in Bilak, and he was very poor in his early years. Later, he made a fortune through his own efforts. Then he began to give back to his hometown and paid for the reconstruction of the dilapidated dock.

The Queen Mary was docked at this private yacht marina. Of course, the money that had to be paid was exactly the right amount, and it was extremely expensive.

After getting off the boat, Gege was fascinated by the scenery here.

Although Catanduanes is a little-known island, it is recognized by many travellers as the most underestimated island in the Philippines. Because this island is relatively primitive, it retains many extremely primitive landscapes. There is also a famous stone church with a history of nearly 200 years on this island. This church, built in 1830, is made of mortar and coral limestone and is called the "Stone Church".

However, this church is not in Bilak, but in another city called Batto, about seven kilometers east of Bilak.

It just so happens that this fourth hidden location is located in the inner mountainous area of Catanduanes Island. To enter the mountainous area, you can only walk along the Bateau River, so you can just pass by Bateau and then you can see the famous stone church.

Of course, there are also beautiful sights to behold in Bilak, as this is the best location to admire the famous Mayon Volcano.

When talking about volcanoes, most people probably think of the cone shape. In people's impression, only the standard cone volcano is the most beautiful volcano.

This is true, so most people think that Japan's Mount Fuji is the most standard volcano.

But in fact, there is an active volcano in the Philippines whose shape is more standard than Mount Fuji. This volcano is the famous Mayon Volcano.

Mayon Volcano is located 10 kilometers north of Legazpi, an important town in the southeastern end of Luzon Island. It is an active volcano with an altitude of 2,421 meters. Although it is not as high as Mount Fuji, this volcano has a nearly perfect cone shape and is known as the "most perfect cone". It is the volcano with the most complete outline in the world. Even Japan's Mount Fuji immediately becomes a crooked melon and a jujube when compared with Mayon Volcano. The two are not on the same level at all.

Although the straight-line distance between Bilak and Mayon Volcano is nearly 70 kilometers, there is no other obstruction between them except Lagnoi Bay, so it is the best place to appreciate Mayon Volcano.

Every year, there are a lot of tourists who come to Bilake to admire Mayon Volcano. Especially in the past two years, Mayon Volcano has entered an active period and even spewed out a large amount of volcanic ash in January last year, so it attracts even more tourists.

At first, Yang Jing and his friends didn't know that Bilak was the best place to view Mount Mayon, so when they got off the boat and saw the almost perfect cone volcano west of Ragnoi Bay from afar, they couldn't help but be attracted.

The weather today is not very good. It is said that this year's fourth tropical storm has developed into a strong tropical storm and is rapidly approaching the Philippines from the eastern Pacific Ocean with a huge amount of water vapor.

However, the fourth strong tropical storm is still some distance away from the Philippines, but the intensity of this strong tropical storm is increasing, so its outer cloud system has begun to appear over Catanduanes Island.

"This volcano is so beautiful. Why didn't I know there was such a beautiful volcano before?" Gege held Yang Jing's arm and stood on the dock, looking at the volcano 70 kilometers away.
