The last hidden location recorded in Alfred's notebook is located in the main urban area of Laoag, and this location is very close to the Laoag River, only less than 200 meters away.
Before coming, Yang Jing had located the location based on the satellite map, but unfortunately, the location was also blocked by a huge building. This huge building was a shopping mall, square, with a length and width of more than 70 meters, which was considered the largest shopping mall in Lavagne.
The main urban area of Laoag was full of densely packed buildings, and it was difficult for the helicopter that Yang Jing and his companions were riding to find a place to land. So at Yang Jing's suggestion, Chris simply parked the helicopter in the new urban area on the south bank of the Laoag River, where there were plenty of flat areas. However, Yang Jing and his companions still needed to walk along the Highway 2 Bridge to the north bank of the river.
Fortunately, this shopping mall is right next to the north end of the Highway 2 Bridge, so you don’t have to take a long detour to get there.
The huge AW139 helicopter slowly landed on the embankment on the south bank of the Lawag River with a huge roar, attracting a group of ragged little kids to watch from a distance, and some adults were also attracted.
However, after seeing a dozen fierce foreigners getting off the plane, the adults immediately shouted at the children and drove them away.
It’s not that these adults are afraid of Chris and his friends. Although Laoag is a city dominated by fishing and farming, it is also a famous tourist city in the Philippines. Every year, a large number of foreign tourists come here and then set out from here to visit the Central Cordillera Mountains. Therefore, every year there are a large number of wealthy people who come here either by yacht or by helicopter, and the locals are used to it.
Chris and his men were too tough, and they didn't look like good people. Their waists were bulging, and they were obviously carrying weapons. Anyone who could be protected by such tough bodyguards must be a big shot. The locals were afraid that these ignorant children would offend this big shot, so they drove them away.
Not only the locals, but even a policeman on a bicycle was attracted by the helicopter. However, after seeing the tough Chris and his friends, he turned around and left on his bicycle without even asking any questions.
Brian Scott and Sean Hannington stayed behind to guard the helicopter, while Yang Jing led the rest of the men and leisurely crossed the roaring Lawag River along the 800-meter-long Highway 2 Bridge. It took them more than ten minutes to reach the north bank of the river.
On the east side of the north bridge is a magnificent cathedral called the St. Williams Metropolitan Cathedral. It is the largest and oldest church in Laoag. Its history is more than a century later than that of the cathedral in San Fernando, but this church is much larger and more magnificent than the cathedral in San Fernando.
Before coming here, Yang Jing had looked up the information about this church, so he knew that this church was not built by the Spaniards, but by the Americans. It is located on the north bank of the Laoag River, and outside the church gate is the Laoag River North Dike. Originally, a large area of buildings around it belonged to the church, but as time went by, many buildings to the north of the church were bought by private individuals. Now, the only part of the church that remains is the main body of the church and a house to the west.
Just like the huge shopping mall where the hidden location is, the land there used to belong to the church, but was later bought by a private owner, who built a huge shopping mall here.
In fact, before coming here, Yang Jing had already given up hope. If the land had not been sold, Yang Jing believed that the treasures would still be buried there. However, it had been transformed into a huge shopping mall, especially since the shopping mall had two underground floors. It was hard to say. Even if there were treasures buried there, they would have been dug out when the shopping mall was built.
But now that he's here, Yang Jing feels unwilling if he doesn't see it with his own eyes.
Yang Jing did not enter the church, but took his men straight into the underground shopping mall on the second floor. At the same time, he used his Sky Eye skill to take a look, but did not find any treasure emerging. Although he was somewhat mentally prepared, when the facts lay before him, Yang Jing was still somewhat disappointed.
On the contrary, the princess and the two female bodyguards could not move when they arrived here. It seems that no matter whether it is the daughter of a wealthy woman or a tough female special forces soldier, they will lose all resistance when faced with such a magical sport as shopping.
Well, if that's the case, let them go shopping. The security conditions in this mall seem to be very good, and security personnel in security uniforms can be seen everywhere, so Yang Jing gave the three women some instructions and kept Clark and Thor Smith to accompany them on this "glorious and great" mission...
Walking out of the shopping mall with Chris, Yang Jing couldn't help but sigh as he looked at the magnificent red-roofed and white-walled cathedral a few dozen meters to the south. Why didn't the Japanese bury the treasure in the basement of the church? If so, the treasure would have been preserved.
Yang Jing shook his head slightly and was about to walk around here, but he subconsciously used the Sky Eye skill again. As a result, a faint red light vaguely appeared in Yang Jing's sight.
