All the national treasure-level porcelains I have seen before can be said to be princess-level, but no matter how princess-level they are, they are still mortals. And this simple narcissus vase in front of me is a real fairy!
"The sky is blue and waiting for the rain and I am waiting for you..." Somehow the lyrics of Jay Chou's song "Blue and White Porcelain" suddenly popped up in Yang Jing's mind. Although Jay Chou's song describes blue and white porcelain, to be honest, the blue of blue and white porcelain is nothing compared to this narcissus vase!
"Could this be the legendary Chai Kiln porcelain?" The sound of a chicken could no longer express Yang Jing's feelings at the moment. He only felt his heart begin to throb. Only the legendary Chai Kiln porcelain seemed to have such a pure azure color, which could make people intoxicated by it...
Yang Jing now has two pieces of Ru kiln porcelain in his hands, and Ru kiln porcelain was specially created by Song Huizong Zhao Ji in order to produce porcelain that surpasses the previous dynasty's Chai kiln.
Emperor Huizong of Song, Zhao Ji, was a devout Taoist, and a very tasteful one. The porcelain used in the court of the Northern Song Dynasty was white porcelain from Ding kiln, but white porcelain was not the best color for Taoism, so Zhao Ji ordered the creation of Ru kiln in order to produce better celadon.
Later, Ru Kiln was indeed produced and became the leader of the Five Kilns of Song Dynasty, but this does not mean that Ru Kiln can surpass Chai Kiln. Even though Ru Kiln and Chai Kiln are both celadon, and even Ru Kiln really surpassed Chai Kiln in some aspects, Chai Kiln porcelain is still irreplaceable.
For example, the Chai Kiln emphasizes "blue as the sky, bright as a mirror, thin as paper, sound like a chime, moist, delicate and with fine lines." Although the Ru Kiln is almost the same as the Chai Kiln, there is still some gap between it and the Chai Kiln porcelain in other aspects.
Xu Zhiheng of the Qing Dynasty said in Yinliuzhai Shuoci: "Chinese porcelain can be divided into three major periods: Song, Ming and Qing. The five most famous ones in Song are Chai, Ru, Guan, Ge and Ding. There is also Jun kiln, which is also very valuable."
Therefore, it can be seen that the real first of the five kilns of Song Dynasty is not Ru kiln, but Chai kiln. However, since the kiln site of Chai kiln has not been found so far, and there is no physical object, Jun kiln is usually included and is called the five famous kilns of Song Dynasty together with Ru, Guan, Ge and Ding.
At present, fragments of Chai porcelain can occasionally be seen in China, but even fragments can still shock people. As for the whole Chai porcelain, a sky-blue lily vase was once exhibited in Japan that was suspected to be Chai porcelain, but no one can be sure.
The Chai Kiln is known as the "Best of All Kilns" in China, but the Chai porcelain produced by this best kiln has never been seen. But now, a suspected Chai porcelain suddenly appeared here. Could it be that God is compensating him for the series of natural disasters he encountered a few days ago?
He tremblingly used the holy ring to identify the narcissus vase, and sure enough, this simple narcissus vase was the legendary Chai porcelain - the Chai kiln celadon glaze narcissus vase!
