The most important thing is that this oil and gas field is very close to China, almost at the border between China and Kazakhstan. Once this huge oil and gas field enters the development stage, China will be the most direct beneficiary.
Therefore, the top leaders of China currently attach great importance to the development of this oil and gas field. And Alekperov has been actively seeking deeper cooperation with China. The development of this oil and gas field and the cooperation on the 625 old oil wells in Baku will help further strengthen the cooperation between China and Lukoil.
