Chapter 349: Copy 2: Evil Spirit 13

Erya tightened her grip on the hem of her clothes and blinked, "So... what are you doing here, sister?"

It seemed that since Shen Yanjin followed him here, his eyes had not moved from a certain corner of the room.

Although Xiao Xu had his back to him, he would sometimes subconsciously pay attention to some of his subtle movements.

"I came here to ask you something."

The two of them trembled: "What... thing?"

"Did you know about the death of your family members?"

As soon as the words fell, the room fell silent, as if all sound sources had been lost.

Xiao Yu looked at the two people in front of her who quickly fell silent. She sighed, half-closed her eyes, and ruffled her hair again. "If you don't want to say it, I won't force you, but I hope you will think carefully about whether you want to answer."

Erya first raised her head, staring at Xiao Lu with a dull gaze. Finally, as if she had made a decision, she sank to her knees. Her sobbing voice rang in Xiao Lu's ears: "I'm sorry, this is all my fault. I shouldn't... I shouldn't have done that."

Looking at Erya crying so helplessly, Xiao He's palm paused slightly.

"If you don't want to say it, you don't have to."

Arya: "On the night of the accident, I was walking in the alley with my brother in my arms."

As she spoke, Erya fell into memories.

"Er Ya, take my younger brother to Second Aunt's house for a few days. We need to go out of town to do some work."

The middle-aged man put the pole in the corner of the room, and before finishing, he picked up the big wooden spoon in the corner.

His expression was the same as usual, except for the unpleasant odor emanating from his body.

Erya responded with a smile, picked up her brother from the small wooden bed, and walked towards the door.

The woman who had been sitting in silence on the chair glanced at him, then walked over and snatched the little brother from Erya's hands. "No, why should my child be sent to that place that eats people without leaving any bones? Let this damn girl go by herself!"

Erya huddled into a small ball, trembling, and looked at her mother's serious face, at a loss as to what to do.

"Mom...I will take good care of my brother."

The woman snorted coldly: "Who knows, you dead girl have many tricks up your sleeve, you even secretly pinched my son's arm."

Erya was so anxious that she quickly explained: "Mom, it really wasn't me who pinched me, it wasn't me."

The middle-aged man snorted, "You bitch, please stop being so rude. You gave the child to Erya. We can't take the child with us when we leave the city. There's no one at home to take care of him. How can we do that?"

"I don't care. Anyway, we can't send it to that family. We have to pay them back when we come back. Haven't they borrowed enough money over the years? They haven't paid it back yet."

The woman cursed and stood at the door holding the child, her voice raised to the top, as if she wanted everyone in the alley to hear her clearly.

An old woman walked out of a room with a hunched back. She first glanced at the cursing woman, then at the man who was suppressing his anger. Finally, she sighed deeply, "Zhen'er, if she doesn't want to, then let me, an old woman, help take care of her."

The middle-aged man frowned and said, "Mom, how can this be possible? Your body is not fully recovered yet. If something happens again, how can I explain it to my eldest and second brothers?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the room fell into silence.

After a while, the woman, like boiling water, began to curse again: "What if her illness is passed on to my son? It will be a disaster. This can't be done, it can't be done!"
