Night attack
"Slow down, I will die if you go too fast, ah! Hanyu! Stop, stop!" Zheng Cheng looked painful, and his hands were about to rub sparks.
Hu Hanyu placed the controller on his knees.
"Let me carry you." he said.
"No! I have to cross it by myself!" Zheng Cheng had already jumped on this board four times. "I have to learn this wall-kick combo today."
The fifth time, Zheng Cheng's little mushroom was only one millimeter away from the board on the upper layer.
Hu Hanyu's phone rang again.
"Tsk." He glanced at Hu Tianren.
"You answer it." Zheng Cheng pressed pause.
"No need." Hu Hanyu said.
"What if your dad has something else to do? You've been stuck in the kitchen all day." Zheng Cheng said.
"You little jerk! You didn't answer the phone for a whole day!"
Even before the broadcast was on, Zheng Cheng could hear the roar coming from the other end of the phone.
"I'm eating outside." said Hu Hanyu.
"Eat the Sit. Why would you help some unscrupulous person drink the old wine?"
"Zheng Cheng."
There was silence on the other end of the phone for three seconds.
"Get that mother's book," Hu Tianren's voice was noticeably lighter, "Just remember to buy it."
"Oh." Hu Hanyu replied with a smile.
This afternoon, at the Shanghai headquarters of Dijia Baozi, a few thugs dragged iron bars and limped around twice.
"The group that went looking for Dazhuang at noon." Hu Hanyu also told his father what happened at noon, "They shouldn't dare to beat anyone up anymore."
"Oh, so the glass of the main store was knocked down." said Hu Tianren.
Hu Hanyu and Zheng Cheng stood up together.
"I'm just going to get something, you wait at home." Hu Hanyu stopped Zheng Cheng who was walking to the door.
"Why don't you let me go? If anything happens, I can call someone." Zheng Cheng insisted on going with him.
"It's my family's business, why are you going there?" Hu Hanyu persuaded patiently, "The police have been here, nothing will happen."
"If you meet someone, don't fight with them. Call the police directly. Try to go under the surveillance camera and let the camera record it. Do you understand?" Zheng Cheng grabbed his forearm and kept giving him instructions.
"Okay." Hu Hanyu nodded, then paused while looking at Zheng Cheng as if he remembered something.
"What's wrong? Is there anything else?" Zheng Cheng asked.
"No, it's just..." Hu Hanyu leaned over and pressed his lips. "Is this usually how you say goodbye?"
"Do you need to think about this before doing it?" Zheng Cheng chuckled.
"I'm just shy." Hu Hanyu also smiled and opened the door. "Let's go. I'll contact you later."
As soon as the door was closed, Zheng Cheng immediately took out his cell phone and made a call.
"Are you still awake?" he said. "I have a favor to ask of you."
Hu Tianren is a man who criticizes small things in great detail but only briefly mentions big things.
Hu Hanyu looked at the broken glass on the ground and was glad that he didn't drive the car over, otherwise it would have been difficult to change the tire.
The main store of Dijia Baozi is located in an office building area in Shanghai and is Hu Tianren’s first store.
There were few convenience stores along the street back then. Hu Tianren took a fancy to this street, which was a must-go for office workers, and bought this store. After running it for twenty years, the surrounding houses were demolished and converted into commercial buildings, but the small building of the bun shop remained.
After twenty years of patching and patching, and witnessing the storms of demolition and reconstruction, who would have thought that after finally having a renovation, it would be smashed into this state.
Hu Tianren was filing a case and taking a statement at the police station and couldn't leave for the time being. He was worried that someone would go to the kitchen to touch his account book, so Hu Hanyu agreed to let him go and get it.
The large glass windows that had been installed just a few years earlier were completely smashed to pieces. Shards of glass were scattered all over the floor, and yellow and white police tape stretched out in a circle.
Hu Hanyu walked around the cordon, reached the back door, pulled up and went in.
Similar to Brother Zhao’s shop, there is also a small path at the back door of the main store. After the surrounding area was renovated, office buildings stood everywhere, but the alley behind Dijia Baozi Shop is no different from decades ago.
He used to walk along this road to the back door after school to see his dad, do his homework in the store, and wait for him to get off work.
There was a sound behind me.
Hu Hanyu turned around and saw no one in sight.
The lock on the back door was still intact, which seemed to indicate that Gu Jiaxin's men had not messed around in the kitchen.
Hu Hanyu took a picture with his mobile phone, took out the key from his pocket and pointed it at the keyhole. Just as he was about to unlock it, he heard footsteps behind him.
Just as he was about to turn around to identify what was happening, a muffled sound broke the late-night silence of the newly built office area.
The cell phone hit the broken glass, but the flashlight didn't go out, casting several long shadows.
Hu Hanyu held the steel pipe in one hand, raised his foot and hooked the person opposite him. Based on his feeling, he blocked the snatched steel pipe to the left, and the steel pipe made a heavy dull sound.
Three.
His eyesight had not yet adapted to the darkness, so he could only judge by hearing and touch. They should still be the same ones from the daytime.
What are you thinking? I taught him a lesson during the day, and now you come to me in trouble at night?
He tried not to attack head-on, but to block and flee, leading the people towards the street lights in the alley, where he could see clearly and there were cameras.
Someone pushed me from behind.
The fourth person.
Hu Hanyu responded to the attack, and a wooden stick was swung towards him. He raised his elbow to block it, but the sudden pain made him pause.
There was a circle of glass shards stuck on the wooden stick.
"Useless thing, beat him to death!" The fourth man took advantage of Hu Hanyu's hesitation and kicked him in the chest.
"The police are here, boss. If you are really injured, you will have to go to jail. Come here to vent your anger." The gangster who was attacking just now retreated, and Hu Hanyu knelt on the ground, protecting his stomach.
"What are you afraid of? I've already informed the chief of the local police station. I'll be in custody for a few days at most." The fourth person, who was called the boss, shouted, "You nouveau riche from the alley, trying to steal my business? You don't know your own worth!"
"I think you're the one who doesn't know your own weight, Gu Jiaxin." Hu Hanyu coughed twice and laughed, "Everyone you hired knows that smashing up my store won't be a matter of a few days."
"What's there to be afraid of if I smash the shop? It's just a matter of paying the money. I have to give him a good beating today," Gu Jiaxin ordered, "Hold him down!"
Three people restrained Hu Hanyu with their hands and feet. He didn't resist, but just looked quietly in Gu Jiaxin's direction. Liquid on his arm dripped down his fingers onto the ground.
"I heard you're a high-end Japanese chef? How much did you pay for it?" Gu Jiaxin said with a sly smile, poking his chest with a wooden stick. "Can you make decent sushi with your hands? I don't believe it."
"Believe it or not, it's up to you. According to your status, you are not qualified to eat it." Hanyu's tone was calm.
"Oh, you're so great for licking the Zheng family?" Gu Jiaxin punched him in the face. "What kind of relationship do we have with the Zheng family? Do you think you have the right to criticize me? You're not even worthy of being a dog!"
Hu Hanyu turned his head and spat, then grinned. The blood on his teeth was particularly glaring in the dark. "Oh, after all this time, you are a dog too?"
"Ce na na e laobi!" Gu Jiaxin cursed angrily, and then suddenly remembered something, and with a sinister smile he ordered a few thugs, "Press his hands to the ground."
Several thugs were about to do as they asked, but Hu Hanyu, who had been cooperating, suddenly struggled and was knocked away by one of the thugs in a few seconds.
The glass-shard stick hit his shoulder and Hanyu curled up with difficulty. The thugs took the opportunity to kick him several times and grabbed his hands and pressed them to the ground.
"Hahahaha! Are you scared?" Gu Jiaxin came over proudly, "Your hands are quite important. Are they for making sushi, or for pinching that sissy Zheng Cheng somewhere?"
"Watch your fucking mouth." Hu Hanyu's voice finally showed obvious emotion as he let out a low growl.
"Oh, it seems I was right?" Gu Jiaxin wanted to step on it with his foot, but suddenly noticed that the glass shards on the ground were mixed with blood, which would dirty his shoes. He raised the wooden stick in his hand with a grin and pointed it at Hu Hanyu's right hand.
"Haha, dream on! You bastard, you want to eat swan meat, but I won't even let you touch yourself!"
Late at night, Gu Zichen was browsing WeChat. There was a cold horizontal line across Zheng Sisi's WeChat Moments.
Even more indifferent is the red exclamation mark at the bottom of the dialog box.
When will Sisi forgive me?
Gu Zichen wiped her tears with the quilt and could only open Zheng Sisi's Xiaohongshu and refresh it to see her latest updates.
He didn't know that Gu Zichen's parents were in the living room at this moment. His mother was sitting in a daze, and his father was frowning, holding his breath waiting for a reply from the other end of the phone.
This mace is Gu Jiaxin's masterpiece that came to him on a whim. The wooden stick was stepped on the glass shards and swung twice around. It can cause unbearable pain if it hits someone from any angle.
After the birthday incident, not to mention the Zheng family, even the Gu family avoided their family members. It was all the fault of the Tianren Group!
When he raised the stick high and chopped it down, he felt only the joy of revenge. What about the future of the Gu family? Whoever alienated them, there was no way they could escape.
As for himself, since he couldn't make it in Shanghai, he could just move to another city and there would still be someone to protect him.
A hidden force suddenly attacked his wrist from nowhere, forcing him to let go, and the mace rolled to the side instantly.
It's so strange. I didn't hear any movement around me just now.
Then came another swift punch, hitting Gu Jiaxin's waist and ribs. Before he could fight back, he was hit on the back of his neck and fell headfirst onto the broken glass.
It's over! I'm wearing thousands of dollars worth of designer clothes!
"Who is it!" He didn't bother to brush off the glass shards. He shouted angrily and jumped up.
In just a moment, Hu Hanyu disappeared, and the three thugs in front of him were falling to the ground with various movements, making intermittent groaning sounds.
So fast!
"Hu Hanyu!" Gu Jiaxin wanted to turn around angrily, but suddenly realized that the mace was resting on his shoulder.
He felt a chill behind him and realized that besides Hu Hanyu, there was another person present.
This man, so fast that even his shadow was invisible, and so accurate that he could knock anyone down with just one strike, was definitely no ordinary fighter. He was a master that you wouldn't even be able to hire for a fortune.
"Young Master Gu, you are not a gangster. Don't learn such tricky methods. You won't be able to bear the consequences." An old and cold voice sounded behind him.
"Boss, who did you offend? We don't want to play anymore!" The three thugs staggered and fled along the alley, covering their buttocks.
"You, who are you, who sent you?" The sharp corner of the glass pressed against his cheek. If he turned an inch more, his face would be scratched. Gu Jiaxin didn't dare to look back and could only shout at the top of his lungs to give himself courage.
The other party sneered, "I heard that Young Master Gu is usually quite cautious. I'd like to ask you, who instructed you to be so careless this time? Aren't you afraid that the Gu family will no longer want this branch of yours?"
Gu Jiaxin felt weak in the knees when his soft spot was hit by the other party, but his hatred was even more itchy: Hu Hanyu, this insidious villain, where did he invite helpers from, and where did they hide?
"Ah--!" He roared and tried to muster up the courage to turn around and grab the stick, but as soon as he raised his hands, his waist and knees were attacked one after another. Not to mention fighting back, he couldn't even stand up and fell directly to the ground. The glass shards penetrated his pants and pierced into his flesh, making him scream in pain.
Along with his wails, there were also sirens.
"I advise Young Master Gu not to run away. Actively cooperate with the investigation, and you might even get your sentence reduced. Master Hu, come with me in the car."
The footsteps behind him gradually faded away, and the sound of sirens came closer. Gu Jiaxin wanted to get up, but found that his legs were too soft to move.
