Chapter 104 The Three Grandfathers with Heavy Tastes
Time flies, and the weather is getting colder and colder. When Jinran woke up this morning, she found that it was snowing outside. She went out to see it with joy, but soon she was so cold that she ran back to her bed.
It's so cold.
Jinran counted the days on her fingers. Chinese New Year was just a week away. All the New Year's goods were ready, and her parents and brothers would be home for the holiday today. She had to cook them a big feast.
Before slaughtering the pig, a lot of blood sausage and noodle sausage were made. Jinran also smuggled a lot of meat out of her space and made a lot of grilled sausages, which were especially delicious.
She ate one every day, and later, seeing that the stock was running low, she made several dozen more.
Also, prepare pig's trotters, offal, and so on. A simple calculation shows that this makes six dishes.
After being lazy for a while, Jinran got up and started working.
As the weather got colder, the four little ones in the family stopped running around. Thinking about it, it seems their parents don't know about the new addition to the family. Every time they come home, the four little ones hide away, so they don't notice.
Once all the ingredients are prepared, the dishes that take longer to cook are put into the pot first.
Jinran went out to shovel snow, and the four little ones followed, running wildly in the yard. Jinran mischievously threw snowballs at them, and the four little ones howled. Jinran laughed heartily.
After playing for a while, Jinran got so cold that she quickly went inside to warm up. She heated up the kang (heated brick beds) in several rooms, thinking that her parents and brothers would be freezing when they came back, so she added a few thick pieces of wood.
She checked the time; it was only a little past nine. She figured they wouldn't be back until midnight, so she took advantage of the time to enter her spatial dimension.
"Mmm~~"
The little monster pounced on him again. Since the four little ones didn't come in, Jinran dared to pick up the black-eyed monster.
Jinran patted the little dumpling in her arms, looking at the dark circles under its eyes that showed no signs of growth, and asked curiously, "I feed you good food and drink, how come you haven't grown at all?"
Mmm... I'm hungry.
Jinran: "............." This thing is really too expensive for ordinary people to raise; it's a real money-devouring beast.
She fed the dark circles under her eyes and let them play by themselves, without worrying at all whether they were lonely.
Its bear life consists of eating with its eyes open, sleeping with its eyes closed, not socializing, not exercising, a perfect example of a bear living a life of leisure and waiting to die.
This made Jinran quite envious at times.
She first went to the orchard and harvested a batch of the fruit she had planted in her space. She had already discovered that the fruit trees in her space were the same as those outside; if the fruit was not picked for a long time, it would rot and fall off.
Jinran felt incredibly sorry for her every time, so whenever she had time, she would pick fruit first.
Later, there was too much stuff, so she lay down. Since she couldn't eat it all anyway, she figured if it fell, it would just become fertilizer.
After a busy day, I took a bath, then comfortably lay on the massage chair and took a nap. Only then did I shake my sleeping dark circles awake, say goodbye, and leave the space.
The person with dark circles under their eyes while sleeping soundly really doesn't do anything related to people.
She did some more tedious chores, and since she still hadn't returned, she decided to study; she loves studying.
Around midnight, Jinran heard a knock on the door. She had been dozing off while reading, but she immediately woke up.
I quickly put on my clothes and went out to open the door.
Then they saw Shen's father pushing his bicycle back with lots of bags and packages, followed by Wang Cuifen and her brothers.
"You must be freezing. Come inside, Dad. You come inside too. I'll take these things."
Shen's father refused to do it and, together with Shen Cong and Shen Ming, carried the loads back and forth. Wang Cuifen took off her shoes and got onto the kang (a heated brick bed) as soon as she entered the house, and then shouted loudly, "You guys, wash your feet before you come in, understand?"
Jinran looked at her mother, Wang Cuifen, who said with disgust, "Their feet are so smelly. When we came back, we were pushing each other's bikes. When I switched hands, the three of them started a snowball fight and then they all fell. The snow was thick, and their shoes were full of snow. When those idiots got up and chewed on the snow in their shoes, we don't know how they got so unlucky, each of them stepped in a pile of poop."
Jinran: ".............." This is a bit too much.
Wang Cuifen was still angrily berating Shen's father, "He's a complete idiot, he has no sense of propriety at all. It's so cold, why aren't we in a hurry to get going? He's playing around instead. Your two brothers are brainless too. They're making me so angry. If I wasn't afraid of getting my teeth frozen, I would have cursed them all over again."
Jinran carefully went to the kitchen, thinking of boiling water for the three of them and having everyone drink some ginger water to ward off the cold.
When I pushed open the door, I saw the three of them squatting in a row, already boiling water.
Jinran handed the ginger to them. Shen's father asked cautiously, "Has your mother calmed down? Nini, do you think the three of us can get through this New Year?"
Shen Cong and Shen Ming looked at Jin Ran with pleading expressions.
Jinran ".............." She knows everything, but what's infuriating is that she doesn't know anything.
