Jinran breathed a sigh of relief; at least nothing had gone too far.
As they were talking, they arrived at their destination. Professor Gu, without any politeness, said to Gu Siyan, "Just wait for us outside. We'll be out in a few hours."
Gu Siyan said, "This is my real grandfather, otherwise I would have done it long ago."
Jinran patted his shoulder affectionately, then happily followed behind the two professors, leaving without a trace of lingering regret.
