Chapter 85 Marriage

Chapter 85 Marriage

Jinran had no idea what exactly happened until Shen Yanhong told her about her upcoming marriage.

"Shen Jinran, I'm getting married!"

Jinran replied indifferently, "I know, my family will go then."

Shen Yanhong said in a complicated tone, "My life will have little to do with you after this. I will live a very glamorous life."

Jinran tilted her head and said, "I wish you... good deeds will be rewarded?"

Then, Shen Yanhong left.

Jinran shrugged and started processing the smaller sweet potatoes. She wanted to dry some sweet potato dates to eat; they were delicious, but troublesome.

But it's not a big problem. She's fine anyway.

The four little ones now go out to play together every day and don't come back until dark. Zhao Cai and Jin Bao are two good sons-in-law. Every time they come back, they bring something with them. Sometimes it's a rabbit, sometimes it's a piece of wood, but whatever it is, they never come back empty-handed.

Jinran tried to teach Doujin and Fugui a lesson, but in the end, Zhaocai and Jinbao were beaten up and refused to take anything back. They even looked at Jinran with a smug expression, as if to say, "You brought this on yourself."

Jinran's ".............." family unspoken rules taught Doujin and Fugui a lesson.

When did Shen Yanhong get married? Yes… she didn't ask. Shen Yanhong stubbornly walked away.

We'll know when her parents come back.

Jinran is busy again. She used to plant unknown seeds in her space every night. Now they are all growing lush and green.

Jinran was splashed with seawater, but the results were all strange and varied.

Some have grown into three-meter-tall trees overnight, some are still the same as they were before, and some have already started to bear fruit. Since I only recognize a small portion of the fruit, the rest are probably new species that I've never seen before, even in this modern age of advanced internet.

I recognize peaches, oranges, cherries, mangoes...

Back then, we didn't know what kind of seeds they were, so we planted them all together. Hundreds of plants of different heights and shapes grew in a haphazard and chaotic way.

But Jinran doesn't have OCD, nor is she willing to put in the effort to transplant them neatly.

She brainwashed her four little ones: "Doesn't it look quite different this way?"

The four little ones gave Jinran a disdainful look, then happily went to eat the fruits they recognized.

Jinran: "The older the child gets, the harder it is to fool them."

Another half month passed, and Shen's father and Wang Cuifen returned. Shen Cong and Shen Ming, being new employees, were unable to take leave and could not return.

My aunt was still being unreasonable. "She really looks down on poor relatives. Such a big thing happened to my family, and she couldn't even take time off work. Who would believe that if word got out? I certainly don't."

Wang Cuifen wouldn't tolerate her and said directly, "Your family is having a wedding, not a funeral. You think we can't see the dead anymore? What, are you expecting my two sons to smash the pot for you? I don't agree to that, not even if you offer money."

The eldest aunt was so angry that her face turned purple. She pointed at Wang Cuifen, panting heavily, and seemed about to say something else.

Wang Cuifen spoke again: "If you have nothing to do, get lost and stop showing off in front of me. You look so good, don't you?"

Jinran silently gave a thumbs up again. Her mother had knocked out her aunt in one round, her fighting power was off the charts. She should learn from her in the future.

On the wedding day, Wang Cuifen still told her to go when the banquet was about to begin.

Ms. Wang's exact words were, "Your father and I are already doing you a favor by helping with the work. If the three of us have to go through all that, I feel like we're losing out. It's not like we're marrying a fairy or a fairy maiden. It's just a matter of moving from one latrine to another. There's no need to be so eager."

Seeing that things were about right, Jinran strolled leisurely towards her uncle's house. She didn't go to the bride's side to join in the fun; she wasn't familiar with her and even had a grudge against her, so she didn't want to go near them.

But to everyone's surprise, the gate was open, and my aunt wasn't blocking it. That doesn't make sense.

Jinran walked quickly out of curiosity, but the courtyard, which should have been bustling with activity, was deserted, though she could still faintly smell the aroma of food. There was no one in the kitchen, and the fire was out.

Jinran: "??? Where are they? Did they all move to another place for the banquet?"

Jinran went to check on the old house, only to find it locked and empty. What was going on?

Finally, she decided to go to the former educated youth settlement to see if there were any people there!

When Jinran arrived at the educated youth settlement, she saw a large crowd gathered around her. She struggled to squeeze to the front.

Then I saw Shen Yanhong and Huang Yuanyuan fighting.

Jinran thought, "This marriage is really intense!"

Jinran looked around and saw her parents watching with great interest not far away. She also saw her unfilial son watching the commotion.

Jinran said, “….......” The whole family can’t help, but everyone can watch the show.
