Chapter 4 Exploring the Space
Jinran leisurely strolled around the space. In fact, she was already quite familiar with this place, having worked here for several years.
She wasn't wandering around aimlessly. In this day and age, the most valuable thing is food, and her goal was to find rice, flour, cooking oil, and other things that could fill her stomach.
Jinran rode her little motorcycle to a container; if she remembered correctly, this was it.
I opened the door with all my might, and it was full of snacks.
Jinran: "..." Is there something wrong with my memory? This is not right, although the snacks are also to my liking.
Jinran didn't believe in superstitions, so she opened each door one by one.
The second container contained cosmetics.
The third container contained clothing.
The fourth container is water.
The fifth one...
The sixth...
No, Jinran was about to cry. She had no strength left. She leaned against the small motorcycle to rest, wondering if an explosion had knocked everything out of place.
She decided not to visit any other places for now, as she was a little tired.
She planned to go back to her small dormitory first to see if the water was still usable. If she could solve the problems of using the toilet and taking a shower, that would be perfect.
Jinran sped her little motorcycle up the mountain, "I rode my beloved little motorcycle up the mountain to go to the market, holding my little whip, feeling so proud. Because I never get stuck in traffic!"
When I arrived at my staff dormitory, I tried it out and found that the toilet and shower were both usable, which was a very welcome thing.
Jinran took a refreshing hot shower, scrubbing her body thoroughly. She changed into her underwear, put on her previously washed and dried clothes, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Awesome! This is life!!!"
I looked closely at my face, and it looked exactly like my appearance in my past life. A sweet girl. Two dimples when she smiles.
Jinran ate one of her own stocked self-heating hot pots. Feeling full of energy, she prepared to open another box. She refused to believe that today's ups and downs could get any more outrageous.
Jinran set off with great pride and high spirits.
2000 years later
Jinran looked at the appliances, imported goods, medicines, sports equipment, books...
Jinran: "..." Why hide the grain so well!
The atmosphere has already reached this point; wouldn't it be impolite to not be able to find rice, flour, or cooking oil?
Jinran's long-dormant fighting spirit was rekindled. So what if it's opening blind boxes? Who's afraid of who?
Just when Jinran was exhausted, she found a container full of rice, flour, and cooking oil.
Happiness came too fast, like a tornado. Judging by the amount of rice and flour, there were dozens of tons. Jinran fell silent. Aren't people eating coarse grains now? This is refined grain, isn't it? How are we supposed to play with this?
Okay, that's enough for today. I'll check with the supervisor tomorrow to see if there are any shipping orders before taking any further action; she's completely exhausted today.
Jinran left the space and quickly fell asleep. Today was truly exhausting for her. More tiring than carrying bricks on a construction site.
In the other room, Shen Yanhong was far from calm. She had been reborn, back to the time before everything began, before the most capable man had gone to the countryside and before he had married. She still had a chance to hold onto him tightly.
In her past life, her grandmother found her an honest and simple farmer, but she was naturally dissatisfied and married Zhang Hao, a young intellectual sent to the countryside.
Despite her disability, Shen Jinran was admitted to a university in Beijing and found a very successful boyfriend. The two women are constantly being compared. People say things like, "Your cousin is doing so well; her husband is so successful."
The educated youth she found was also a good-for-nothing; he failed to get into university himself but blamed her. He also learned to drink, and when he was drunk, he would beat her.
Every time she went back to her parents' home to seek their support, her mother would tell her to just bear with it, that all women go through this, and that divorce is shameful.
In the end, she abandoned her child and ran away, suffering greatly. Finally, to make a living, she had no choice but to marry an older man. Then, while she was being beaten by that man's wife, her cousin's family witnessed it.
Her cousin saved her, but that was enough to make her feel ashamed.
Her cousin, feigning kindness, offered her a job as a dormitory supervisor. She knew her cousin was already wealthy and powerful, and could have provided her with an even better life, but she refused to lend a helping hand.
She was filled with hatred, a hatred that tormented her until she was hit by a car while crossing the street. When she opened her eyes, she found herself back in the present.
She vowed to live a better life than anyone else, to make her cousin, whom she had looked up to in a past life, look up to her, and to prove she deserved the best man. And that violent scumbag—he'd get what's coming to him. She'd settle accounts one by one.
Jinran was completely unaware that someone was going to teach her a lesson; she was still happily munching away, snoring contentedly.
