Chapter 201 Delivery
Jinran first had someone help unload the things left for the Gu family, and then she would take the rest to the school. She also needed to deliver the things to Professor Wang's family.
Jinran was going to go with the car, so she said goodbye and left.
Two installers were left to install the equipment.
The Gu family members exchanged bewildered glances; this thing was incredibly advanced. Grandma Gu looked at Professor Gu, who was sipping his wine, and asked, "Did Nini buy all of this?"
Professor Gu nodded. "That thing called a shower head and toilet is really useful. I asked Nini to bring it back for me. The rest should have been bought by Nini herself."
The commotion at the Gu family's house attracted the attention of the other families in the courtyard, but they were too embarrassed to go and ask questions.
Everyone watched, and then they heard drilling sounds coming from the Gu family's house, followed by the sound of something being smashed on the ground. They were all curious about what was going on.
Jinran delivered Professor Wang's items, leaving behind an installation technician who left after only a few words.
There are two sets left. Jinran originally planned to keep one set for her own wedding room, but now she'll decorate her parents' house instead.
Jinran asked the driver how long the installation would take.
"The toilet is a bit of a hassle. If it's an old house, it can't be installed. The rest is simple and will be done in a bit."
Jinran nodded and asked the craftsman to leave one set of appliances at the courtyard house and send another set of appliances to the school building.
Then I went back to the Gu family home to pick up the installation technician.
Jinran saw that everything was installed except for the toilet. The installer said, "This building is newly built, and there's space reserved for the toilet. Just install it and you're done."
Grandma Gu looked at all the modern appliances in the house and couldn't stop smiling. She said to Jinran, "How much money did you spend? Grandma will give it to you, I can't let you lose out. This refrigerator is really good, I won't have to worry about things breaking down anymore. The installer even told us how to use it. And this air conditioner, we tried it out too, it's just that the weather isn't right now, otherwise it would be really cool. And also..."
Grandma Gu praised everything and said that Jinran knew how to shop. Gu's mother took out a wad of cash and stuffed it into Jinran's pocket.
Jinran quickly refused: "Gu Siyan gave me money, and I still have his secret stash of money."
Mrs. Gu said, "Then buy what you like. Keep what we gave you too. It's the most precious thing that you think of us when you go out. We're all very happy about that."
Jinran felt a little embarrassed.
Grandma Gu patted Jinran's hand and said with a smile, "Take it, Grandma will give it back to you later, Grandma has money."
Jinran smiled.
Tuantuan chimed in, "Grandma, do I have one?"
"Yes, yes, Grandma will make another big one for Tuantuan."
Everyone burst into laughter.
The installation technicians finished by then and were preparing to go to Professor Wang's house to pick up the people. Jinran went along, as she was going to take them to her house later.
Grandma Gu gave Jinran another wad of money before letting her go.
Jinran left, feeling both amused and exasperated.
By the time they finished all the work, it was already dark. Jinran took out thirty yuan and handed it to the driver, saying, "Driver, please take the other drivers out for a meal. They've been working all day, and I can't let them leave on empty stomachs."
The driver refused, saying, "We receive subsidies, it's alright, it's what we should do."
Jinran insisted on giving it to them, and the technicians said gratefully, "Miss Chen, if you ever have any appliances break down in the future, just contact us. We always come here."
Then they gave Jinran an address. Jinran thanked them with a smile and said that she would definitely bother them if she had any questions.
They then left happily.
Exhausted, Jinran entered the space and took a bath with essential oils. The five little ones were already waiting at the door; they hadn't seen Jinran for several days and missed her terribly.
Jinran snored them one by one, "Missed me? You really are Mom's best son and daughter."
After playing with them for a while, seeing that they still seemed reluctant to leave, Jinran decided to stay in the space and take a nap.
They surrounded Jinran, staring at her intently without blinking. Jinran thought smugly, "This is true love. They really can't be without me for a moment."
Once Jinran fell asleep, Doujin whispered, "Honey, the human shouldn't have found out about the trouble we caused, right?"
Fu Gui put on a relieved expression. "She's not very bright. By then, she'll have forgotten about that medicinal herb field. We can just wait for it to grow back. Or we can blame it on someone else."
Zhao Cai and Jin Bao quickly stepped back, revealing their dark circles from fast sleep.
