Chapter 57 Dou Jin's Unlucky Facts
Jinran went deep into the mountains, and sure enough, there were so many mushrooms there. Doujin and Fugui also helped to find some.
During this time, Fugui and Doujin also hunted a pheasant together.
Jinran looked at the pheasant and said with a craving, "I'm craving some river fish. I wonder if there are any in these mountains."
"Golden coin, wealth and honor..." You're making things difficult for our Fat Tiger.
Jinran's appetite grew stronger with each passing thought. Seeing that she had already harvested several hundred pounds of mushrooms, enough to dry and eat, she began searching for a place with water.
After a persistent search, we actually found it.
Because there's no one around, the water here is crystal clear; it must be spring water, and it tastes a little sweet. This is a rare opportunity! Although there's plenty of space, since we're already here, we can't leave empty-handed.
However, the water was too clear, so there were no fish that Jinran longed for.
It doesn't matter, whatever we have will do. She found dozens of professional water storage tanks in her space, each holding about five tons, but how to fill them was the problem.
Jinran rummaged through the pile of miscellaneous goods again and found a device that could pump water.
That's awesome!
While filling the bucket with water, Jinran would walk around and look around. When she felt it was about time, she would switch to the next bucket and continue.
There's nothing around here except for some hazelnut and chestnut trees, but they're not ripe yet; it'll probably be a few more months.
The trope of time-traveling women digging for ginseng when they go into the mountains is legendary, but why doesn't that happen to her?
I'd better just stick to picking mushrooms; it wouldn't be bad to exchange them for some money at the purchasing station later.
"Woof woof~~" Human, come quick~
Jinran's eyes lit up. Had her aura been activated? Doujin must have made a big discovery.
They ran hard and then slowly, and finally found a fortune.
As a result, Dou Jin stared intently at the clump of poop it produced, as if it were a piece of gold.
Jinran
"Woof woof~" Human, I think I'm a bit stressed lately.
Jinran fell silent again.
She felt she was no longer suited to live with Doujin.
"Dou Jin, why don't you start wandering the streets today!"
"Doujin???"
"Meow~~" Foolish dog!
A cat-and-dog fight was about to break out. Jinran mediated, "Alright, if you two are going to fight, be careful. If you get dirty, I'll shave you both bald."
"Golden goose, wealth and riches..." Are you even human?
Jinran didn't care because she had no morals.
The two little ones had no choice but to move away from the lump and start fighting, while Jinran ate beef jerky and watched the live broadcast.
Just as Jinran was bending down to tear open the packaging, she heard Doujin shout.
When Jinran looked up again, she saw Fugui, a cat, standing alone with a confused look on its face, while Doujin was nowhere to be seen.
"Fugui, what happened? Where's Doujin?" Jinran asked as she went to check on the situation.
"Meow~" We were having a great time when the ground suddenly cracked open, and then the stupid dog yelled and fell down.
Jinran: ".............." So, did Doujin go tomb raiding?
However, Jinran didn't have time to think. Looking at the bottomless pit, she didn't know what to do for a moment.
Then I remembered that I had opened a lot of outdoor survival supplies in the space before, which should come in handy.
After searching for a while, she actually found it: a rescue rope and a descender. Jinran secured the rope to a tree, threaded the other end onto her body, and equipped herself with some necessary gear. Finally, she put Fugui into her spatial storage. Then she set off to rescue Doujin.
Jinran groped her way down, calling out Doujin's name, but received no response, which made her a little worried.
The descent speed has increased.
This can no longer be called a pit; calling it an abyss wouldn't be an exaggeration. But why would such an abyss suddenly appear?
The further down she slid, the more anxious Jinran became. If Doujin fell, would she still have a chance to survive?
When they were halfway there, Jinran saw Doujin's figure in the distance, and then Jinran smiled.
It's such a lucky dog.
Doujin was saved by a crooked tree. Its whole body was hanging on the tree, and it probably fainted due to the impact, which is why it didn't respond when Jinran called it.
Jinran slid over and checked Doujin. She found that Doujin only had some scratches and no fatal injuries. It was probably because he had been drinking seawater for a long time that Doujin's physique had improved significantly.
Jinran put the gold into her spatial storage and instructed Fugui to take care of it. She then headed back, but as she approached the bottom, her curiosity surged like never before. Could there be treasure underground?
What if there's something amazing here? Should we go check it out?
