But the moon in his heart was now uncertain of its fate.
Why do people who are closest to you keep hurting you like this?!
"Chief, several groups of people have been approaching and spying on us recently..." the guard at the door reported softly.
Cheng Ping nodded, his expression grave.
Just as he was about to leave, two horses suddenly galloped towards him under the moonlight.
Cheng Ping took a deep breath: I can't leave tonight.
The two men and two horses stopped at the gate of the courtyard. One of them stepped forward, took out a small scroll from his chest, and presented it with both hands.
A subordinate handed him a lamp, and Cheng Ping used the light to unroll the scroll and read it. Without much expression, he said, "Then let's go."
One of them gave up his horse, and Cheng Ping followed the other man as they galloped away.

Cheng Ping, the head of the Inspectorate, has failed in his duty of supervision and shall be severely punished with forty strokes of the cane and dismissed from his position as head of the Inspectorate."
After saying this, the guard waved his hand.
The people carrying Cheng Ping let go on the spot, and Cheng Ping fell face down, along with the stretcher, to the ground with a thud!
Cheng Ping showed no reaction, as if he were dead.
Su Liniang shuddered, her whole body trembling.
"Granny... Ping'er, he..."
The old woman, a woman of the world, stepped forward to check his breathing, then nodded vigorously: "He's alive! He's alive..."
But the sight of the blood-soaked waist, hips, and back was truly horrifying.
