Chapter 413: Dark Tide Ark Crossing the Sea
The warship pierced the dark ocean, its divinely forged metal, proud of its strength, sweeping away all the pollution. The repelled, filthy divine power rippled across the surface, arriving at Wang Quan's feet. He tossed his dagger, clasped his hands together, and the dark divine power at his fingertips pulsed like a fluorescent light.
The king's power turned to the sea, and the balance between the black and white worlds was broken. As if an invisible divine hand lifted the sea itself, countless black waters rolled back, obscuring the sky, forming a terrifying, world-shattering wave.
Dark Moon Magic: Tide of the Waxing Moon!
No elaborate prayers or chants were required; simply directing the mind allowed divine power to naturally form the spell. He was the Son of God, beloved by Black Moon, transcending the ranks of the Fallen, able to freely mobilize the power of the abyss regardless of strength.
Chu Hengkong stood at the bow of the warship, feeling the tsunami sweep across the sky, as if the world itself was howling. Velvet turned and walked into the church-like bridge, leaving a simple instruction.
"Analyze the environment and try to find thirty seconds."
“Got it!”
Chu Hengkong replied casually, pulling out the murderous knife and holding it tightly with both hands. Like every new swordsman, he raised the Divine Slash above his head, and the blade ignited with blood-red flames.
He struck down the murderous blade, and a third color appeared in the monotonous world. A slash mark spanning a thousand miles was instantly etched on the battlefield, and the endless black sea was opened up by blood. His slash ripped through the divine art, creating a burning path through the black sea!
Burning night. Burning.
A scorching wind blew through the dark world, murderous intent and resentment nearly solidified, slashing and biting at Wang Quan's head. It suddenly vanished, then reappeared high in the sky, grasping the dagger it had previously thrown. Perfect skill and physical strength gave it overwhelming explosive power, and it lunged down with the blade, like a lone hawk swooping down upon the ocean.
The dagger pierced the blade of the murderous knife, and with sparks flying everywhere, it quickly pushed down towards Chu Hengkong's eyes!
Chu Hengkong freed one hand to grasp Wang Quan's wrist, then thrust his knee forward, striking the gaping hole in his midsection. Wang Quan's chest and abdomen sagged strangely, his body deforming to avoid the thrust. He dislocated his joints, pivoting on his captured wrist, and leaped over his enemy, drawing his black pistol. Chu Hengkong raised his sword with his backhand, slicing through the bullet. The shattered pellet dissipated in black smoke, and Wang Quan vanished in the smoke as if dissolving.
Instead of returning to defend, he rushed into the smoke, and the burning divine sword suddenly stabbed out, blocking the dagger that was stabbing towards the cabin!
He knew Wang Quan's style all too well. A conspirator possessing immense power, he would never engage directly, always attacking from the most accessible angle. That bastard wouldn't engage him head-on; his focus was surely on his boss. Wang Quan tutted slightly, as if about to say something. He pressed his opponent in close combat. Blades flashed and shattered the smokescreen, their rapid clash leaving a dense, chessboard-like pattern on the deck.
"The knife is good." Chu Hengkong said.
"Although it's not as good as yours, I'm not short of treasures either." Wang Quan laughed, "You guys——"
"It's mine after the fight." Chu Hengkong continued to interrupt it, feeling a little pleased by the helpless look of the other party.
"Seriously, do you really need to go this far? What if the True Machine doesn't plan to come? What if the Remnant Heart Master doesn't make it? This city-state isn't worth risking your lives for, is it?"
"The city-state's affairs ended after the public trial began." Chu Hengkong pressed down the blade, "I'm still here because of you!"
Wang Quan stopped the katana with his dagger: "Then I will return your words to you. Your revenge ends on Earth!"
"It won't end. As long as you're here, I'll give it my all!"
"Don't you hate people who can't distinguish between work and private life?" Wang Quan sighed, "Please separate your work and private life more clearly!"
The dagger suddenly flew out of his hand, piercing Chu Hengkong's ankle with vicious force. Chu Hengkong's sharp eyes saw the dagger was tainted with divine power, so he didn't use his Qi armor to block it. He cautiously swung his sword to deflect the dagger, and Wang Quan seized the opportunity to grab his wrist.
A strange force seeped into his body like mist, the bones supporting it detaching under the impact. Half of Chu Hengkong's body threatened to collapse like a building. He used his Immortal Power to support his body and charged forward with his intact half. Wang Quan withstood the attack and swung away lightly, his free hand transforming into a palm to strike the ocean.
"Dark Moon Divine Art: Void Moon Seal!"
The Son of God issued a decree, and space shifted, its rules altered. The surging sea of matter dwarfed and collapsed, becoming a pitch-black plane without thickness. The main battlefield of the ocean suddenly became a flat "land," and the warship ran aground on the black continent.
Wang Quan raised two fingers and slashed at the flat sea. The seemingly infinite ocean suddenly split in the middle. The flat seawater poured in endlessly, yet it could never fill the chasm within, like the bottomless abyss in myth. The warship sank with the water, its physical form gradually sinking under the influence of divine magic. Even its body felt trapped, unable to move.
"Boss, Dimensional Strike!"
Chu Hengkong warned, knowing the full extent of this bizarre sensation. The effects of this divine art were similar to those of Vaklo's dimensional degradation, but its essence was far more detrimental. Because the abyss sealed within the Void Moon was the very essence of the First Abyss, if this continued, they would be dragged into the Black Moon.
"5 seconds. Don't let it bother me."
"You really know how to order people around!"
Chu Hengkong forced out fresh blood, infusing it with his energy, and, relying on Divine Slash, formed a crimson giant sword. He needed this heavy, decisive weapon, for what was about to unfold wasn't a battle, but a war. Wang Quan's next divine spell took shape. He raised his ten fingers high toward the moonlight, and fine lines of blood flowed from his fingertips, forming a gorgeous, sharp, blood-red spear.
"Dark Moon Divine Art: Blood Piercing the Sky."
The unique divine art of the Abyssal Spider, the Holy Son of the Crescent Moon, was restored by Wang Quan from the memories instilled by Black Moon. While the Limb Spiders of yesteryear used this art to kill with a single blow, Wang Quan now summoned a full twelve of these magic spears. These blood-red spears were arrayed around the battleship, like the dials of a clock pointing towards death.
Wang Quan clenched his fist silently, and 12 magic spears were fired at the same time, piercing the center of the warship with the will to kill!
Chu Hengkong's concentration reached its apex. He felt as if he were back in the final moments of a desperate battle with powerful enemies, yet the battle had only just begun. He swung his greatsword like a wall, sending six demonic spears flying with a single powerful blow. After the strike, he used the reaction force to spin around and resume the fight, shattering the three nearest demonic spears with a diagonal swipe.
The remaining three demonic spears were already approaching the cabin; he could practically hear the burning sound of the armor as it touched. Chu Hengkong strode forward, unleashing a divine slash that pierced two of the spears. The final one was within striking distance, but Wang Quan's sudden attack was already upon him. The dagger twirled between his fingers, blossoming into a life-destroying, icy flower.
Chu Hengkong made the decision without hesitation. He intercepted Wang Quan's dagger with his bare hands and blocked the last shot with his back!
The demonic spear nearly ripped through his body. Without the Qi armor as a last line of defense, Chu Hengkong would have been broken in two. A large amount of blood spurted from the wound, splashing onto Wang Quan's face. His expression remained unchanged, and the dagger in his hand swung, intending to seize the opportunity to cut off Chu Hengkong's fingers and pin him to the plane of the virtual moon.
However, Wang Quan suddenly withdrew, abandoning his great advantage and actively pushing forward. A roar erupted from the rear of the battleship, and the armor forming the bridge opened outward, emitting a blue light that pierced the sky and earth!
"Environmental analysis complete, intelligence simulation complete, virtual divine domain deployed."
"Rule setting: Earth."
The building within the light reconstructed and took shape. It was an ancient bell tower, built atop the church bridge. The tower's great bronze bells trembled, their resounding melody echoing across the ocean. The scholar's will resonated with the bells, transforming into a tangible "rule."
The flat virtual sea was actually pushed open, and the warship rushed straight up, flying beyond the abyss into reality amid the sound of bells!
Bells rang repeatedly, and the power of rules formed an invisible divine domain, blocking the power of the Black Moon from the ship. Velvet stepped out of the cabin and tapped the killer's shoulder with her cane. The pollution that had invaded his body instantly receded, and even the filthy magic spear disappeared with it. Chu Hengkong used the Immortal Power to repair his body, grinning, "Amazing, Boss! What's the principle behind this World-Splitting Wheel that's so amazing?"
"Earth's principles," Velvet said. "This world-breaking wheel can reproduce the laws of Earth."
The so-called World-Breaking Wheel is a vehicle that forges a path beyond the abyss. Its core is the "self-element" that propels the Transcendent forward. Velvet's life belongs to distant Earth, and the desire to return to Earth sustains her will. That fragile yet precious time is her true self. Thus, she incorporates the rules of her former world into her design, resulting in a steel battleship capable of completely neutralizing abnormal forces.
This is her World-Splitting Wheel, the wide-area silent mobile mothership, the Silent Ark!
Hundreds of gun ports opened on both sides of the Silent Ark, and a hail of bullets, carrying the power of silence, swarmed towards the royal power. The uninspired divine arts were meaningless against the Ark. Velvet had completed her analysis, and the laws of Earth overrode the power of the divine arts.
"What a hassle..."
Wang Quan threw up his knife, and instantly unleashed a flurry of slashing blows, slicing through the hail of bullets with pure physical attacks. Chu Hengkong seized this opportunity to leap forward and strike, piercing Wang Quan's waist with a divine slash that broke through the defenses.
Wang Quan simply abandoned a piece of flesh and blood and flew away sideways. The murderous knife, which had not been able to drink all the blood and flesh, argued with dissatisfaction. The long sword and the short dagger clashed again, and both sides saw similar emotions in each other's eyes.
"Is it necessary to be so persistent?"
"Who is the one who's so persistent?" Chu Hengkong sneered. "If you were on Earth, you'd still be reasonable. But now that the sacred tree is out of danger, you're still summoning your group of twisted gods!"
"What's the difference between Earth and the Shendong World?" Wang Quan asked, "Do you think you know enough? Do you think the Shendong World in front of you is the answer?"
"Then tell me!" Chu Hengkong roared, "What's the point of saying these mysterious words? If you have a reason, then tell me!"
Wang Quan sighed deeply, and the gentleness in his eyes disappeared, becoming resolute.
"Okay," it said.
"Then let me tell you in person the hopeless future you've been ignoring!"
