Chapter 58: Stay and Serve
Liang Weiyuan glanced sideways and saw him staring at Huo Jinjian who was sitting in a wheelchair inside the room. Bloodshot instantly appeared in his eyes, as if he was blinded by the wind and sand.
The old lady had already gone back. At this moment, Huo Jin saw a tall figure in the courtyard wearing a moon-white brocade robe and a black jade belt around his waist. His pale face looked even more cold and handsome in the sunlight.
His nose was high and sharp, his lips were pursed thinly, and even with his eyes closed, he still exuded an aura of majesty without even being angry.
Wei San looked at his master who had once been a master of the battlefield and was now confined to a wheelchair, and his beard trembled.
After a while, he raised his hand and wiped his face fiercely, his voice hoarse as if it had been rubbed with sandpaper: "Don't worry, Madam, from now on I will keep a close eye on the kitchen and will not let a grain of sand enter the eldest master's bowl!"
After saying that, he gently placed the food box on the stone table, turned around and was about to leave.
He was already satisfied to see his master recover with his own eyes.
The only thing he could do was to stop Yu from tampering with the food.
Liang Weiyuan looked at his resolute back as he strode forward with no intention of staying in Qingzhuyuan, and her observation of him ended.
These days, Huo Jin always sees something abnormal happening.
Whenever the maid came close to feed him, he would always frown and look uncomfortable, probably because he didn't like the maid's touch.
I can't take care of him all the time.
Seeing that Wei San was truly sincere towards Huo Jin, she naturally called out, "Stop."
Wei San turned around abruptly as if to obey an order, with a look of confusion and surprise on his face.
Liang Weiyuan walked slowly towards him, her white magnolia hairpin swaying slightly, and stopped in front of him.
She was slender and tall, with her chin slightly raised. Her cold and snowy aura made Wei San's heart tremble, and his body became more tense.
"The eldest master is in need of a capable man." Liang Weiyuan paused, looking at Wei San carefully. "Since you are an old subordinate, are you willing to stay and return to the eldest master's courtyard to serve him personally?"
Wei San's eyes suddenly widened, and the bloodshot in his eyes almost burst out.
He opened his mouth, and suddenly fell to his knees with a plop.
"I'd love to have it! As long as I can stay by the eldest master's side, I'll do anything!" When he raised his head, there were a few streaks of dust on his face, but it couldn't hide the burning excitement on his face.
Looking at Wei San's undisguised loyalty, Liang Weiyuan extended her hand to support him, motioning him to follow her into the courtyard.
Wei San followed behind him, but he felt uneasy as if he was walking on cotton. His tall body was hunched, and he was afraid of knocking down any flower or tree in the yard.
His palms were sweating until he came to Huo Jinjian.
Huo Jin felt a chill lingering around him, and he tilted his head slightly when he heard footsteps.
"Master!" Wei San knelt heavily, his voice almost choking with sobs, "I am Wei San! Master, do you still remember me?"
Huo Jin saw that the originally calm face suddenly showed some ripples, and his straight brows frowned, as if surprised and happy.
He moved the knuckles of his right hand on the armrest: "Wei San".
Seeing this, Wei San, a rough man, almost couldn't help crying and wiped his rough face excitedly.
Liang Weiyuan noticed that Huo Jin's lips corners rose slightly, drawing a soft arc on Cang Jun's face.
She approached, the shadow of her slender figure falling on Huo Jinjian's face: "Husband, Wei San was buried in the kitchen by Yu Shi. I see that he is a good hand. From now on, let him protect you closely and it will be convenient for him to serve you."
As soon as he finished speaking, Huo Jin saw that his originally relaxed knuckles tightened the armrest, and the curve of his lips also slightly pursed.
What the daughter-in-law meant was that she was unwilling to take care of him anymore.
Having felt Liang Weiyuan's meticulousness over the past few days, he felt a slight strangeness in his heart when he thought of this.
Liang Weiyuan thought Huo Jin was confused, so she leaned over gently, and the oriental pearls on her hairpin brushed against his nose with a sweet fragrance:
"My dear, I am now the head of the family and have many things to attend to. I am worried that I can't always take care of you."
She whispered in a low voice, "And I saw that my husband didn't like the maid to touch him, so I decided to transfer Wei San here, so that my husband and I can continue our master-servant relationship, and I can feel more at ease."
The woman's gentle breath lingered, like a light feather falling into Huo Jinjian's ears and heart, causing him to feel a slight itch.
Without leaving any trace of his thoughts, he slowly wrote the word "thank you" on her palm.
Liang Weiyuan immediately nodded to Wei San and said, "Try to feed the porridge to the young master."
Wei San's face flushed red, and he felt uncomfortable holding the porridge as if he was holding a burning charcoal. His huge body walked over and squatted beside the wheelchair, looking a little funny.
He could kill people with a knife and protect them without blinking an eye, but asking him to do this kind of delicate work...
Especially when he saw Huo Jin breathing steadily with his frosty-blade-like brows in front of him, Wei San took a deep breath.
After finally scooping up a spoonful of porridge, his hands trembled uncontrollably, and the hot porridge swayed in the spoon, spilling most of it.
Fortunately, he was quick to move the bowl and spoon back quickly, so that Huo Jin only saw a little stain on his collar.
"Yes, I'm sorry, master!" Wei San raised his hand hurriedly to wipe it, but he didn't pay attention and almost knocked over the whole bowl of porridge again.
