“Don’t you have…class this morning?”
Before he could finish his words, the bell rang and Zhou Yu walked into the classroom on time, not a minute more or less, as if he had obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Lin Jiaojiao swallowed the words she hadn't said yet and sat up straight.
Lu Chen looked at Jiaojiao's appearance and felt quite curious. The little lamb was so well-behaved. Was she so afraid of the teacher?
He thought only elementary school students were afraid of their teachers.
Moreover, this male teacher looks pretty good and should be a very popular one.
"Jiaojiao, are you afraid of him?" Lu Chen leaned over to Lin Jiaojiao's ear and whispered, almost only in his breath.
"Shh." Lin Jiaojiao slightly turned sideways, made a gesture to indicate that she shouldn't talk, and sat up straight.
Lu Chen obediently closed his mouth, supported his chin with one hand, and looked sideways at the girl who was sitting like an elementary school student.
Zhou Yu began to call the roll, and everyone was present, with no one late or leaving early.
Lu Chen sighed in his heart that the atmosphere here was much better than their school. Everyone loved to study and no one was late.
There were a lot of people in the classroom, almost full. The two of them sat at the back on the right side, so they weren't too conspicuous.
Lu Chen slept too late yesterday and got up too early today. As he watched, he felt sleepy in a short while. His eyelids felt as if they weighed a thousand pounds. His arms slowly slid down and he lay on the table to catch up on his sleep.
Zhou Yu stood on the podium and could see the situation below very clearly. He didn't know who the boy next to Lin Jiaojiao was, but he was too presumptuous!
He knew Lin Jiaojiao was pretty, but! He had to! Look at her in class?
It would have been fine if he hadn't listened carefully, he had endured it; but he actually started to sleep!
Is this a challenge to his authority!?
But he hadn't seen the boy's face clearly and didn't know his name.
