Chapter 144 Bedridden for Half a Year
Su Xi was both angry and amused, so she could only soften her movements even more.
The medicine was applied, but it wasn't dry yet, so I wasn't dressed.
Su Xi didn't know where to look, and wanted to suggest that the man wear his shirt backwards. But the thought of that scene made her feel out of place; it seemed only babies in diapers wore their shirts backwards, so she gave up on the idea.
Sitting there with a half-naked man was incredibly awkward. She got up to try and escape, but the man grabbed her arm.
"In return for courtesy, I should apply medicine to your wound as well."
Before she could refuse, the man had already half-squatted in front of her and gently lifted her skirt.
Su Xi pressed her thighs tightly, staring straight at the man's handsome face, and blurted out, "What are you doing?"
"Applying medicine? What do you think I'm doing?"
"Don't lift it too high."
"Don't worry, I'm a gentleman."
The two were just talking about childish and unnecessary nonsense, but Su Xi felt like pink bubbles were rising around her.
She couldn't help but shake her head, throwing away all the miscellaneous waste.
Looking down, she saw the man with his shirt off applying medicine to her leg, a sight that was absolutely arousing.
Su Xi simply lay back on the sofa and resignedly stared at the ceiling in a daze.
Seeing the woman's submissive posture, the man's peach blossom eyes suddenly turned deep. He silently pulled down the skirt that had been pulled up by the woman leaning back, calmed his mind, and focused on applying the medicine.
After applying the medicine, I noticed that almost half an hour had passed. He should leave.
Time flies; he thought it would only take 5 minutes.
The man grabbed his shirt and put it on, then put on his coat.
After Su Xi sat down, she saw that the man was already dressed in a sharp suit, and blinked slightly.
The man smiled. "Haven't you seen enough yet?"
Su Xi rolled her eyes at him.
"You get some rest, I'm leaving."
Watching the man's car leave from the window, Su Xi turned back to look at the empty room, and for a moment felt a little empty.
Pregnancy can make one more prone to moodiness. Su Xi didn't pay attention to it, and after tidying up, she turned off the lights and went to bed.
Feng Jue received a phone call halfway through his drive. Upon seeing the caller ID, he raised his handsome long eyebrows, pulled over, and answered the call.
"Uncle, I sent you a photo. Take a look for yourself."
When Feng Jue opened the picture, his eyes darkened instantly. It was a photo of him carrying Su Xi upstairs.
Both of them are only shown in profile, but anyone who knows them can tell them apart at a glance.
"Uncle, you're already in such a hurry with only half a month left? There are so many women in the world, why did you have to make me wear this green hat?" Feng Jinchen was so angry that he was incoherent. If he were there, he would definitely rush over and strangle that unfaithful woman.
Feng Jue's voice was cold and clear, "Her leg was injured, covered in blisters, all thanks to you. Carrying her on your back is just one thing; if carrying her on your back counts as cheating, then the number of women you've cheated with could circle the Earth three times over?"
"I was just playing around. I've never taken any woman seriously, except for Su Xi. You know perfectly well what you're really thinking."
"Of course I know."
Feng Jinchen choked, his tone becoming even more exasperated, "Uncle, your taste is really bizarre, you just like playing with secondhand goods."
"Watch your mouth."
The overwhelming pressure seemed to travel right through the phone line, sending chills down Feng Jinchen's spine. But he couldn't swallow this insult.
“I can accept carrying it on your back, but what about you staying in the room for a full half hour?”
"What can you do in just half an hour?" If that day ever came, he could keep a woman in bed for six months straight.
"You!" Feng Jinchen wanted to say that half an hour was enough, but that seemed to imply that he was incompetent. He could only swallow his anger and settle the score later.
"Uncle, what were you and Su Xi doing in the car for so long, and then you put the gear shift down?"
"Since you know so much, you should know that the car wasn't bumping at all. What do you think I'm doing?"
"Even without the bumps, there are plenty of things to do."
"You, who had a child with a woman while still married, what right do you have to criticize others?"
Feng Jinchen took a deep breath, "We're not divorced yet, don't push your luck!"
"So what if you're being bullied? Today at the old house, you condoned the mistress's slander and harm against her, and even approved of sending her to Qiao Li's place to kneel for a night. What right do you have to act like her husband?"
“Even if I’m not qualified, I am legally qualified.”
Feng Jue sneered, "Nephew, you, a mere acting president, can have marital infidelity, but your unmarried uncle can't talk to a woman in a car?"
"You can have any woman in the world, but not her. You are not allowed to touch a single hair on her head."
Feng Jue only showed interest in arguing with Feng Jinchen when he was in a good mood, and now he was getting a little tired of it. Su Xi really had a lot of patience dealing with such a peculiar man every day; it was quite pitiful.
"I haven't done anything inappropriate with her. If you're bored out of your mind, you can go out and walk your bird."
He hung up the phone after saying that.
Feng Jue knew that what he had done today was indeed a bit out of line.
It wasn't that he couldn't help himself and disregarded the woman's reputation; it was just that he had discovered a secret that surprised him and made him very happy.
If it weren't for the car accident that stood between them, he would have gone straight to getting a marriage certificate with the woman.
Feng Jinchen grew angrier the more he thought about it. He couldn't beat Feng Jue, but Su Xi...
He made a phone call, a ruthless glint in his eyes.
Su Xi was woken up by a phone call in the middle of the night. After hearing what was said, she was wide awake, her face changed drastically, and she put on her clothes with trembling hands and went straight out the door.
When they arrived at the sanatorium, Grandma Su was still unconscious, lying on the hospital bed looking emaciated, with sparse white hair, her eyes closed, and deep wrinkles on her brows, a heartbreaking sight.
The old lady's lips were particularly dry, cracked, and peeling, which indicated dehydration.
Su Xi held back her tears and picked up the kettle, only to find that her aunt was also there.
Today is the day Grandma Su receives her pension. With so many old men, it wouldn't be good if her money got swindled.
Huang Sifeng was about to leave after taking the money when the old lady received a phone call and fainted. Huang tried to slip away but was pulled into the ambulance by the caregiver.
She fell asleep as soon as she arrived at the hospital. The old lady was revived, but the caregiver had to wake her up. Since hospitalization was so expensive, she insisted on returning to the nursing home.
After checking the old lady's contacts, she realized that Su Xi had made the old lady sick, so she immediately called the woman over.
Seeing Su Xi made the woman furious, and seeing Su Xi moisten the old lady's lips with a cotton swab dipped in water made the woman's expression even worse.
This is clearly implying that she didn't take good care of the elderly. Isn't this a slap in the face for her?
Is it her fault that she didn't sleep well all night?
"Su Xi, look what you've done. You almost made the old lady die of anger, do you know that? You've spent so much money, you have to transfer the money to me right now."
Huang Sifeng threw the hospital bill at Su Xi's face, and then slapped her hard across the face.
