Chapter 76 Don't Give Me a Chance
In the corner of the private room, an inconspicuous red light was faintly glowing.

As Su Xi left the banquet, her phone rang. The moment she stopped and looked at her phone, a woman rushed towards her from the side like a madwoman, holding a gleaming dagger in her hand.

Su Xi wanted to leave, but her gaze fell on the man's bandaged hand. The old wound on his forearm still had stitches, and the old wound plus the new one were all because of her. She couldn't leave.
Suddenly, Su Xi had a sudden realization. Restoring her previous acquaintance with Feng Jue was exactly what she wanted; she had no reason to be sad.
This man saved her life time and time again, and even when he gave her the cold shoulder, she could endure it.
"Mr. Feng, would you like some water?"
The man looked at Su Xi, while the woman, holding the kettle, smiled at him, polite yet distant, just as she had when she first met him.
Her beautiful peach blossom eyes flickered slightly. "Drink."
"Okay." Su Xi poured a glass of warm water and brought it to the bedside. The man took the glass, tilted his head back, and gulped it down without leaving a drop.
Su Xi's gaze unconsciously fell on the man's Adam's apple. A glistening drop of water rolled down her chin, slid past the Adam's apple, and disappeared into the man's collar.
Su Xi's eyes flickered slightly, and in the instant she looked away, she slipped a cool cup into her hand.
"Would you...want to drink some more?"
The man shook his head, his deep gaze sweeping over Su Xi and instantly capturing her eyes.
As if frozen in place by an invisible pressure, Su Xi was forced to meet the man's gaze.
A mocking smile played on the man's lips. "Why aren't you avoiding me anymore? Are you planning to treat me like an elder and be filial to me from the start?"
Su Xi smiled seemingly calmly, "My uncle is an elder who has saved me many times, so it is only right that he takes care of you. I'm just afraid that he will find it distasteful."
"Of course I'm disgusted. Wang Ma at home takes a thousand times better care of you than you do. Is this how you repay a life-saving debt?"

Su Xi lowered her eyes. "How do you plan to repay me?"
"So, how about this?" Feng Jue's voice was slightly hoarse as he abruptly lowered his head.
Su Xi dodged his steady pursuit.
The man leaned forward and pressed her against the door even harder, leaving almost no gap.
The man pinched her chin.
For a full ten minutes, the man's breathing became somewhat rapid, his forehead pressed against the woman's, and his deep, panting sounds reached Su Xi's ears.
Why didn't you push me away?
"To pay off the debt. That should be enough, right?"
The woman's icy voice pierced his heart like an ice pick, and the man's back straightened slightly as he said in a deep voice, "Not enough."
"Mr. Feng, don't push your luck. Next time you see me drunk, please just knock me out. Don't give me the chance."
"President Feng is an unattainable beauty, noble and unparalleled. He can have any woman he wants, so why bother toying with me?"
"Teasing?"
The man's fist, pressed against the door, tightened. "Did you ever like me?"
"No."

The moment the man finished speaking, the door opened and he shoved Su Xi out.
Before she could even stand up straight, the door slammed shut.
Standing outside the door, Su Xi took a long time to compose herself. This wasn't a novel, nor an idol drama. Even if that person wasn't Feng Jue, she had so much on her mind that she wasn't in the mood to start a relationship.
She didn't want to fall into another emotional vortex that was destined to break her heart.
Just as Su Xi was about to leave, the door to the ward opened again. Before she could even see the man's face clearly, her wrist tightened, and she was pulled back inside.
