Chapter 80 Even if you jump into the Yellow River, you can't clear your name.

Feng Jue quickly looked away, a deep, alluring voice sounding in his ear.

"It's inappropriate for me to go through your room, but is it appropriate for you to go through my room?"

Su Xi's pupils contracted slightly; her first thought was that she had been discovered rummaging through things. However, she quickly dismissed the idea.

She was very careful, putting everything back in its place. Thinking about it, it must have been that time Feng Jinchen forced himself on her, and she angrily rummaged through the door next door.

"It's been so long, why is Uncle still holding such a grudge?"

Suddenly, the man pinched her cheek. "How long? I mean just now."

"Just now? I don't understand what you mean, Uncle."

The man's handsome face suddenly turned several degrees cold, as if carrying a punitive intent. His gaze blatantly fell on the woman's chest.

The view from above instantly makes one's mouth dry.

The man's voice was seductive, carrying a subtle threat, "If you don't behave, don't blame me for not being honest either."

Sensing the implication in the man's tone, Su Xi hurriedly clutched her bathrobe, causing her two flattened breasts to sway, which made the man's eyes flicker and wander uncertainly.

His hand, which was holding the woman's shoulder, tightened unconsciously; the smooth, rounded touch made his heart flutter.

Suddenly meeting the woman's gaze, which avoided him like the eyes of a venomous beast, the man snapped back to reality, a wave of helplessness washing over him.

He released the woman and forcefully pulled the towel off her body upwards.

In that instant, Su Xi thought the man was going to tear off her bathrobe, and she was so frightened that she almost screamed.

"Still not admitting it? You were just in my room."

"I don't."

"You're really stubborn." The man handed something directly to the woman.

Although the lights were off, it was still clear from the bright moonlight that it was a long hair.

"Then can you explain why your long hair is on the chair in my study?"

Knowing that arguing any further would only anger the man and cause him to turn hostile, Su Xi remained silent.

"Tell me, what are you looking for in my room?"

"I...I..." Su Xi's mind raced, but she couldn't think of a plausible excuse.

Watching the woman's eyes darting around as she made up excuses, the man felt both amused and self-deprecating.

"Su Xi, is there some other purpose behind your sudden decision to forgive that scumbag and move back to the villa? I'm warning you, the Feng family has deep roots and complex relationships, and it's not something a little white rabbit like you can mess with. I'll let it go, but if you search someone else's room, I guarantee you won't see the sun tomorrow."

Su Xi's face paled, but when she thought of her mother, her conviction became stronger than ever before.

Knock knock—

There was a sudden knock on the door.

Su Xi's eyes widened in tension as she glared at the man. He, however, remained calm and showed no sign of leaving. "I won't leave until I get a reasonable explanation," he said.

"You go first, I'll tell you later."

"Tell me now."

Su Xi almost bit her lower lip until it bled.

The knocking grew louder, and a man's voice came through, "Xiaoxi, are you asleep? It's me, Jingnian. I have something to tell you. Shall we go to the garden and talk?"

Before Su Xi could speak, the man's mocking voice drifted over, "You really know how to attract men."

"Uncle, how is this any different from victim blaming?"

The man's expression softened, but his tone remained stern. "Remember, you're not allowed to drink alcohol again, or you'll never be able to repay your debts of unrequited love."

Seeing that no one responded, Feng Jingnian assumed Su Xi was asleep and was about to leave when he saw Feng Qinyue walking over with an unfriendly expression.

Without saying a word, the woman banged on the door, shouting, "Su Xi, get out here! You made my mother kneel in the ancestral hall, how dare you come to my house again? Get out of here right now! Go beg my grandparents to release my mother, or I'll make my brother divorce you!"

Feng Jingnian narrowed his eyes dangerously. He wanted to reprimand the woman, but when he heard her last sentence, he swallowed the words he was about to say.

"Su Xi is asleep, you can talk to her tomorrow."

"My mom isn't asleep yet, why should she be asleep? Su Xi, you come out here!" Feng Qinyue pounded on the door and kicked it, but there was no response from inside, so she became suspicious.

The soundproofing here isn't very good; you should be able to hear it unless you're sound asleep.

"Su Xi, open the door! I know you're in there. You dare to harm my mother? You dare to open the door? My brother isn't home, and you don't even dare to open the door. Are you hiding some random man in there?"

Hearing Feng Qinyue say this, Su Xi almost cried, "Uncle, can you go back first?"

"I told you, I won't go back unless I get a satisfactory explanation."

Su Xi was furious. Caught between a rock and a hard place, her mind was a complete mess, and she simply couldn't come up with a plausible reason.

Seeing the woman looking at him like he was an enemy, the man also got angry. He got up and pinned the woman against the wall again. "Woman, get this straight, you provoked me first. I just want an answer. Don't push your luck."

She didn't even bother to lie to him, which made him feel even more frustrated.

After calling for a while, there was still no response from inside. Feng Qinyue became even more certain of her suspicions, and she picked up her phone to call her brother.

Remembering how she was mistaken for a liar last time, Feng Qinyue rolled her eyes and called a servant to stand guard at the window behind Su Xi's house to see if any wild men would climb out.

After arranging everything, Feng Qinyue finally made a phone call, "Hey, brother, there's a man in Su Xi's room. I've cornered him at the door. Come quick!"

Feng Jinchen instinctively didn't believe it.

"I knocked on the door until it was practically falling apart, but she was clearly inside, yet she wouldn't dare show her face. What else could it be but a ghost?"

"Could it be Feng Jingnian?"

Feng Jingnian, standing to the side, looked up at the sky, somewhat speechless, and touched his nose. He wished he could.

"Oh no, that's not it."

"How did you know? Did you go into his room?"

“Because he’s right next to me.” Feng Qinyue took a few steps back and lowered her voice. “Brother, I think it might be Uncle. Uncle’s room is right next door, and it’s not like you can’t climb over that windowsill. Either Uncle climbed over, or Su Xi climbed over. There’s no mistake.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Jinchen sat up straight, his handsome face turning green. Su Xi had suddenly disappeared last time, and now that he thought about it, it was highly likely she had gone to his uncle's place.

The thought of that possibility made the pen in the man's hand break in two, and he immediately made a video call to Su Xi.

Upon noticing her phone vibrate, Su Xi quickly silenced it.

Upon seeing that it was Feng Jinchen, Feng Jue said in a low voice, "You can answer, I promise I won't make a sound. Or you can not answer, and just say you were taking a shower afterwards."

Su Xi decisively chose the latter. After all, if she accepted the call, that man's suspicious nature would definitely lead him to turn on the lights and search every corner of the room.

Two or three videos in a row, each lasting until the call automatically ended. The light from the phones illuminated the two people standing close together, like a couple releasing fireflies to make a wish.

The phone finally hung up and the screen went black, and Su Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Uncle, hurry up and go back, otherwise we'll be in deep trouble no matter what."

Seeing the woman's troubled and flustered face, the man felt a pang of pity.

Outside the window, in the grass, the servant was recording a video on her phone as instructed by Feng Qinyue. The camera was set to top resolution and high magnification, capturing even the male mosquitoes flying out of the window.
