Chapter 57 I need all the information on this man
"Mrs. Gu, our CEO Liang has been waiting for a long time. Please," the secretary said.
Ji Ying entered the private room.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Liang, I'm late."
The man turned his head, his profile was exquisite, and his brows held a chilling familiarity.
But he wasn't that Mr. Liang.
"This is my fault. I thought someone of Mrs. Gu's status would have a membership card here, so... I didn't think it through."
His tone was polite, but his words carried a hint of sarcasm.
Ji Ying smiled, sat down opposite him, and took out a box of jewelry.
"This is part of the jewelry I'd like to sell; please take a look. I also have several properties; I can send you the addresses. And..."
“Mrs. Gu,” the other party interrupted her, “I can give you two hundred million for these things. You can just ask my secretary to handle it in a bit.”
Ji Ying sized him up. "So, what does President Liang want me to do for you?"
Mr. Liang smiled, his humble gaze concealing a deep and unfathomable shrewdness.
"Mrs. Gu is truly a shrewd and perceptive person. I've heard about Mr. Gu's situation, and I genuinely sympathize with your plight. I don't think Mrs. Gu is someone who can tolerate being humiliated, but those rumors haven't hurt him much, if..."
"I know what you're going to say."
Ji Ying interrupted him and put the jewelry samples back into her bag.
“I’m not interested in your personal feud, nor can I give you the information you’re looking for. I think there might have been some misunderstanding in the middleman’s message. I’m here to sell my jewelry and real estate.”
After finishing her speech, Ji Ying got up to leave.
Mr. Liang smiled and called out to her.
"The price of 200 million can be increased. Mrs. Gu, don't rush to make a decision. Go back and check the situation before giving me an answer."
He handed her a business card.
Ji Ying took the business card. The design was very simple, without even a company title, just a name and phone number.
His name is Liang Jian.
Ji Ying remembered that Gu Yanchen had two kinds of business cards.
One type features a gold-embossed design with his title and position printed on it, but the phone number isn't his own; the other simply has a private number printed on it, a white card with black lettering, but no more than five people have ever seen it.
And people of Liang Jian's status are probably no exception.
Ji Ying put away the business card.
I was probably thinking about something else when I turned the corner and bumped into a waiter carrying a stack of tin tea trays.
The sharp edge of the metal scraped her forehead, drawing a little blood.
The tea trays that the waiters were carrying also fell to the ground.
"Don't you watch where you're going?" the waiter said angrily.
Just as Ji Ying was about to apologize to the other party, a figure stood in front of her.
"It's business hours now, and you insist on carrying this dangerous item in areas where customers come and go, potentially injuring someone, and you still have the nerve to complain? Where is your manager?"
Ji Ying was very surprised. She had just met him that morning, and now she had run into him again at the teahouse. What's more, he was even speaking up for her.
Ji Ying's heart stirred uncontrollably.
I remember when she ended her life as a homeless person and went to school for the first time, a small group of classmates wanted to set rules for her.
At that time, Lin Yan stood in front of her like this, holding the other party's weaknesses and denouncing her.
"Listen up, this is my sister. If you treat her like you treat anyone else, I have plenty of ways to make you regret it."
After that, none of those shady groups dared to approach her.
Lin Yan protected her until she was 22, but mysteriously disappeared by the river one rainy night. The police found his shoes and cell phone, but failed to retrieve them. He was pronounced dead three months later.
As everything unfolded before her eyes gradually overlapped with memories of the past, Ji Ying's nose began to sting with tears.
"Vice President Liang, I'm so sorry, it was the waiter who was being inconsiderate."
The manager rushed over.
The smirking face turned sharp when his gaze fell on the waiter.
"Why didn't you use the employee entrance when you were moving things? Your team leader will have your bonus deducted this month, and you're fired."
Vice President Liang chuckled, "Is that all?"
"Oh, yes, I'll accompany this lady to the hospital for a check-up right away. Don't worry, we won't shirk our responsibility."
"No need, it was my fault for not watching where I was going, it's alright."
Ji Ying had something on her mind and wanted to leave.
But he insisted, "Go to the hospital first, otherwise it will leave a scar."
Ji Ying said impatiently, "We don't even know each other, why are you being so enthusiastic?"
He paused for a moment, then took out a business card and smiled, "I have a lawyer's license. If this teahouse fails to keep its promises, feel free to contact me anytime."
The manager's eyelids twitched: The third young master of the Liang family was doing part-time work as a lawyer for others, which was simply unheard of.
Ji Ying took the business card; it was a white card with black lettering, but the name and phone number on it were different.
His name is Liang Yanchuan.
So it really isn't Lin Yan?
Ji Ying put away the business card and touched her forehead. "I'm fine, it's okay."
Just as Liang Yanchuan was about to speak, Liang Jian walked over.
"Third brother, is there something you need here?"
When Liang Yanchuan saw his brother, his smile didn't reach his eyes.
"My father asked me to bring you a document."
Liang Jian laughed and said, "Even the work of an assistant is being assigned to you. Father is going to 'grow you up in special ways'."
Liang Yanchuan smiled faintly but did not answer.
“I invited Mrs. Gu here, so I’ll take her to the hospital,” Liang Jian said.
"The person your brother invited also managed to hurt her, which shows how busy your brother is. Why don't you let your younger brother share the burden?"
"No need, let's all go about our business."
"Brother, there's no need to be so serious."
Ji Ying had a headache from their noise.
"Gentlemen, please continue your conversation. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving now."
Liang Jian and Liang Yanchuan stopped at the same time.
Ji Ying left without looking back.
After getting in the car, she called Xiao Xia and said, "Find me a few more people who are interested in jewelry and real estate."
"Didn't you reach an agreement?" Xiao Xia asked.
"Don't put all your eggs in one basket."
Xiao Xia agreed with her idea.
"Yes, that's how you do business."
"Help me find out about someone," Ji Ying said.
Who is it?
"Liang Yanchuan, the third young master of the Liang family."
Xiao Xia was excited, "You've taken a liking to him?"
Ji Ying didn't explain, "I want all the information about this man."
Xiao Xia: "You wait, even if I have to become a paparazzi, I will definitely find out everything about him for you."
"Sister, you've really made something of yourself. You know how to use the Liang family to go against Gu Yanchen."
Ji Ying did not respond.
After hanging up the phone, she still went to the hospital.
After all, the injury was on her forehead, and she didn't want to have a scar.
When she arrived at Minghe Hospital, she registered for general surgery.
There were dozens of patients ahead of her in line, and she was hesitating whether to cancel her appointment when Zhang Cheng walked towards her.
As he walked, he kept putting his phone into his pocket.
"How did you get hurt?" he asked.
I bumped into it accidentally.
Zhang Cheng glanced at the long queue and said, "There are a lot of people today. Go outside and wait for me. I'll get the medicine out and find a place to treat you."
Ji Ying initially wanted to refuse, but then she thought that if she went to another hospital, she would probably have to wait, so she nodded.
Because of the heat and the fact that it wouldn't take long to process, Ji Ying agreed to Zhang Cheng's suggestion and got into his car.
Zhang Cheng turned on the air conditioner, and Ji Ying sat in the back seat while he disinfected her.
"It's a superficial wound, not very serious. If treated properly, it won't leave a scar."
As he spoke, he took out a spray bottle and sprayed it on her head.
Just a few seconds later, Ji Ying felt dizzy.
Zhang Cheng immediately reclined the back of the driver's seat, climbed into the back seat, and held her in his arms.
What are you going to do to me?
Ji Ying felt weak all over, and her heart was beating faster for no reason.
Zhang Cheng picked up the spray bottle again and sprayed it on her face.
"Don't be afraid, we're just putting on a show. The effects of this medicine will wear off quickly and won't harm your body."
As he spoke, he began to unbutton her collar and then his own shirt, but did nothing else.
Why did you do that?
Ji Ying grabbed his hand, struggling to even speak.
Zhang Cheng's eyes were filled with bitterness. "I'm sorry, if I didn't do this, I..."
The next second, the passenger side window was smashed, revealing Gu Yanchen's cold and stern face.
The man's eyes held a chill deeper than the midnight of the winter solstice, yet a slight smile played on his lips as he said, "You two have quite a unique sense of humor."
