"Sister, the police are looking for you!" Song Qingxue shouted to Wen Xi after letting the person in.
The gloating look in his eyes could not be concealed.
When Cai Shizhen saw the police coming to her house, she naturally thought Wen Xi was in trouble again, so she rushed up to her and was about to slap her.
"You're such a bad boy, you're always causing trouble outside. I can't have two days of peace at home with you around! Why don't you just die out there?"
Wen Xi blocked her hand and moved aside nimbly.
"Mom, I don't know what's going on yet. Don't get too excited. What if you get yourself hurt?"
Yao Jiali graciously supported Cai Shizhen and patted her chest. Then she looked at the visitor and said, "Officer, what are you doing looking for Xiaoxi? Has she gotten into trouble again? Well, this child is indeed naughty and always makes mistakes, but if it's not serious, I hope you can give her a chance. After all, she is still a child."
Yao Jiali appeared to beg for mercy in a nice way, but her words were actually directly slandering Wen Xi.
I'm sure she's in trouble again.
Before the police could even speak, they couldn't wait to scold Wen Xi: "I'm not saying anything bad about you, Xiao Xi, but your family is already worried enough about the company's affairs. You are so ignorant..."
"Aunt, what you said, I really don't see why you're worried." Wen Xi looked at her with a cold expression, "Didn't you just use the company's money to take your mother-in-law and daughter on a happy trip abroad and come back?"
"You...what nonsense are you talking about, kid! I just took your grandma out for a walk because she was worried and upset!" Yao Jiali defended herself shrilly.
Wen Xi didn't bother to pay attention to her and walked straight towards the visitor: "Excuse me, what do you want to see me about?"
She had already recognized that the person knocking on the door was the one who had taken her statement two days ago.
"Well, regarding what happened that day, we need you to go to the police station again to assist in the investigation."
"Okay, let's go." Wen Xi responded simply.
"Hey, wait a minute, police officer! You haven't told us what trouble she has gotten into yet?" Yao Jiali asked hurriedly.
"Are you this little girl's guardian?"
"Well...I'm not. Her parents are out of town right now."
"Is that so? Okay, ma'am, don't worry. The little girl hasn't caused any trouble. We're just asking her to assist with the investigation. We'll contact her parents later to explain the matter. As for other details, we can't disclose them."
"Oh, then... okay." Yao Jiali was a little disappointed.
Didn’t get into trouble?
The people in the room looked at each other in disbelief, but they could only watch Wen Xi and the police leave.
Wen Xi was taken to the police station, where additional records were taken regarding the details of that day.
It was only when she was taking the statement that she found out that the woman had been found, but she was found in a stinky ditch, and her body was swollen when she was fished out.
Wen Xi suddenly felt something was wrong.
Didn’t that woman escape with her accomplices?
How could he die in the blink of an eye?
It seems like there's a lot of water here, and it's probably not just a simple case of trafficking...
After cooperating with the staff to complete the record, Wen Xi left alone.
Just as she was about to take a taxi back to school, a little kid suddenly ran towards her, hugged her legs tightly, and said in a baby voice, "Pretty sister, don't go!"
Wen Xi looked down.
Hey, isn’t this the little boy who was almost kidnapped that day?
"Are you okay?"
She squatted down and rubbed the little watermelon head with a smile.
"Well, I'm fine now. Thank you, sister, for saving me that day." The little boy blinked his big eyes with distinct black and white, and thanked her in a condescending manner.
