Captain Ling had some friendship with Mr. He in private, and he knew about the origin of the treasure map and Wen Xi's life experience. He even knew that Mr. Gou was an old acquaintance of Wen Xi's grandfather. The members of the expedition team who participated in the treasure hunt also had a general understanding of the situation. So even if Lian Li disliked Wen Xi, she couldn't say anything to her about her application to accompany them. The weather was fine and the ship was moving at a steady speed along the planned route. Occasionally a few seabirds flew across the sky, creating a calm scene.
Not long after, Gou Qing came out of the captain's room.
