“Stop the car.”
After the driver stopped the car, Li Jingshen opened the door and got out holding an umbrella.
The rainy night sky was pitch black, and a drizzle of rain fell beneath the dim streetlights. Xia Mingyue wore a knee-length skirt, revealing her slender calves. A chill spread from her calves throughout her body, giving her goose bumps.
"Why are you here?"
Li Jingshen's words were so light, they were even colder than the wind outside. Xia Mingyue's eyes showed hurt. Since when did Li Jingshen change?
The person who used to hold her hand and ask about her well-being when he saw she was cold, now asked, "Why are you here?"
"I have something important to tell you." Xia Mingyue's voice was unusually hoarse. She cleared her throat and asked, "Can I come in?"
Li Jingshen looked at the villa. As usual, there was a light on inside, but it was not left on by Shen Zhichu.
Li Jingshen said "hmm" and turned to walk towards the door.
