☆213. Chapter 213 My Hand is Disabled

Chapter 213 My Hand is Disabled

Li Jingshen saw that Shen Zhichu was silent and embarrassed. He smiled bitterly, then covered Shen Zhichu's hand. After thinking for a while, he said, "Zhichu, as long as you don't leave me, I respect any of your ideas. I won't touch you and give you time until the day you truly accept me."

Shen Zhichu was stunned for a moment, and uttered a low "hmm". In his heart, he was no longer so repulsed by Li Jingshen.

"Assistant Zhao said we've been married for five years. Do we have any children?"

The word "child" made Li Jingshen's heart twitch. Shen Zhichu had stomach cancer, and having a child in the future would only accelerate the disease. He couldn't let her get pregnant and take the risk. He couldn't tell her that she had stomach cancer, for fear that she would remember something.

After much thought, she decided to attribute the child's problem to him. After a while, Li Jingshen said in a hoarse voice, "No, it's my fault. If you like children, we can adopt them in the future."

When Shen Zhichu heard the first half of his sentence, she thought that they didn't have children because Li Jingshen didn't want them, but after hearing the second part, she understood instantly. She said embarrassedly, "No...it's okay. We are still young. Let's talk about children later."

"What about my relatives?"

Li Jingshen said: "You are an orphan, you have no relatives and few friends."

Shen Zhichu opened her mouth, a lump in her throat ached, and she murmured to herself, "I don't have any relatives? I don't have any friends?"

Shen Zhichu's clear eyes were now watery, like foggy glass.

Li Jingshen felt a pain in his heart and held her in his arms: "I am your relative."

"Then how did they get together?" She was confused. She was an orphan and had no parents. How did she meet Li Jingshen when she was a teenager?

Li Jingshen was the number one on the rich list. One was in heaven, the other was on earth. They were completely unrelated. How could Li Jingshen marry her?

Besides, don’t wealthy families pay the most attention to matching each other? Shen Zhichu couldn’t help but think of a Cinderella play in his mind.

"Didn't Zhao Qian tell you? We met at a banquet."

"School party?" Shen Zhichu asked.

"Forget it."

"Can you take me to see it then? I want to remember it quickly." Shen Zhichu looked up at him.

Li Jingshen didn't say a word. He lowered his head and looked at Shen Zhichu infatuatedly. The person in front of him was clearly the Shen Zhichu with clear eyes, but in an instant he saw the stubborn and indifferent Shen Zhichu.

The more you talk, the more mistakes you make, and then you won’t be able to make up for it.

"Forget it if you can't remember. Let's start over and I'll take you to meet new people."

"But I..."

Shen Zhichu wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Li Jingshen who touched his head: "You just woke up, don't think too much, it's not good for your brain."

Shen Zhichu could only stop helplessly, "Then what is this place?"

"The hospital in Rongcheng, our home is in J City, we will go back after you are discharged from the hospital." He was really worried about leaving Chen Zhichu in Rongcheng. This was where she grew up, and there were too many familiar things here.

Shen Zhichu nodded and agreed without thinking too much.

………

Li Jingshen ordered some easily digestible porridge for Shen Zhichu, along with a few refreshing side dishes. Shen Zhichu had just woken up and wasn't very hungry, but if she didn't eat, she would continue to face the man.

Although Li Jingshen cared about her very much and spoke carefully, she always felt a sense of pressure and was a little anxious.

Originally, Shen Zhichu wanted to find an excuse to let Li Jingshen go back to work, but he just wouldn't leave. He had three meals a day here and even had to follow her to the bathroom, which made her very uncomfortable.

"Is it cold?" It was March now, and the weather in Chengdu was always damp and cold. It was still like winter, and Shen Zhichu was always afraid of the cold.

"It's not cold, the air conditioner is on."

Li Jingshen put a small table on the bed, then opened the food boxes one by one and placed them on it. The seemingly ordinary side dishes smelled fragrant as soon as they were opened.

"This takeout is good. I've been eating here for the past few months." Li Jingshen said as he brought the porridge and prepared to feed Shen Zhichu himself.

Shen Zhichu looked at the chopsticks placed aside and reached out to take them: "I want to eat some food first, you don't have to feed me, I can do it myself."

After all, she just lost her memory, not her hand. She was about to pick up a dish in front of her with chopsticks, but before she touched it, she heard a "pa-" sound and the chopsticks fell on the table.

Shen Zhichu was completely stunned. She looked at the chopsticks on the table and then at her trembling hands. Her hands were clearly strong, but why couldn't she move the chopsticks or pick up the food?

It was too late for Li Jingshen to organize the organization. The doctor had told him a long time ago that Shen Zhichu's hand could not be restored to its previous state and the disability would accompany him for the rest of his life.

He thought it would be serious, but he didn't expect the visual impact at this moment to be so strong. The image of Shen Zhichu's trembling hands was like a knife piercing his heart, and the pain was so severe that he couldn't recover for a long time.

Li Jingshen picked up the chopsticks on the table that were covered with vegetable juice and wiped them with paper: "What do you want to eat?"

He tried to keep his voice calm, but it was still trembling, and his eyes were red.

Shen Zhichu stared at her hands. Something flashed through her mind so quickly that she couldn't catch it. She shrugged and asked, "Did my hands become like this because of the car accident?" She paused and asked in a hoarse voice, "Am I disabled?"

After she finished her last sentence, Li Jingshen's eyes turned red again, and his breathing was filled with sobs. He held Shen Zhichu's hand and suddenly burst into tears: "It's my fault that I didn't protect you well."

He knew how proud and strong-willed Shen Zhichu was, but now she was crippled and couldn't even hold chopsticks.
