Chapter 24: Shen Zhichu Does Not Have Stomach Cancer

Li Jingshen choked and was almost out of breath after hearing Qin Mo's words.

Qin Mo had a good nose, and he could smell cigarette smoke before Li Jingshen even got close. He reminded her, "Zhichu is not in good health and cannot stand the smell of cigarettes. If you haven't taken care of anyone before, go back. I've already arranged a nurse for her and explained the precautions."

The point was that he should go back to where he came from. Unfortunately, Li Jingshen was thick-skinned and didn't listen to his words at all. He just felt extremely uncomfortable when he heard Qin Mo calling Shen Zhichu's name so intimately, as if a toy that had always been by his side was being peeped at by a stranger. Although he didn't like that toy very much, it was his and he wouldn't allow others to peepe at it.

This is a public place and the patients are resting, so it is not convenient to argue. Qin Mo said coldly and turned to leave.

Li Jingshen stood there and smelled himself. He hadn't showered for two days and there was already a strange smell on his body. The smell of smoke was well covered up, but Qin Mo was right. Shen Zhichu couldn't smell smoke. As a last resort, he stood in a ventilated place and waited for the smell of smoke to be washed away before returning to the ward.

After Qin Mo walked a distance, he told the nurse beside him: "Give that fake medical report to Li Jingshen later."

He had promised to keep it secret for Shen Zhichu, so he prepared the fake report a day ago.

The nurse asked, "But will he believe it?" After all, the patient had vomited so much blood before and had also been issued a critical illness notice.

The young nurse couldn't imagine how mentally retarded one had to be to believe a report like that.

"If he really cared about Zhichu, he would definitely check it out, but if he didn't care, he would believe whatever you said and wouldn't take it to heart."

The young nurse nodded as if she understood, and after arriving at the office, she took a pile of reports and went to the intensive care unit.

Li Jingshen had already taken a deep breath and was ready to go back. Just as he was about to push the door, a young nurse behind him called him.

"Sir, wait a minute."

Li Jingshen turned around and looked at the person who ran up to him breathlessly. His eyes moved down and finally stopped at the pile of documents in her hand.

"Sir, this is your wife's medical checklist."

Li Jingshen was stunned and paused for a long time before reaching out to take it. He took it in his hand and flipped through two pages before suddenly stopping. He looked at the column for "gastric bleeding" and saw nothing else.

The nurse carefully glanced at the emotions on his face and saw that his eyes were fixed on the column of "gastric bleeding". She suddenly wanted to slip away.

"Doesn't she have stomach cancer? Why isn't it listed here?"

The nurse smiled awkwardly and explained, "Your wife doesn't actually have stomach cancer..."

"You said she doesn't have stomach cancer? She's lying to me!" Li Jingshen's expression didn't change, but in that pair of deep and cold eyes, it seemed as if an endless chill spread from them in an instant, making people unable to control their fear.

Facing Li Jingshen's questioning, she felt as if she was being stared at by a ferocious beast. The little nurse's legs were a little weak, and she was forced to stay where she was, her calves twitching, and she nodded hurriedly.

"That's what your wife meant. If you want to ask, go ask her." After saying that, she glanced at the door beside her. Thinking of the woman's pale face, and then comparing it to Li Jingshen's fierce, swallowing eyes, she couldn't help but remind him, "But her condition was really critical at the time, otherwise she wouldn't have asked you to sign the critical illness notice."

Li Jingshen didn't listen to her advice at all. His mind was full of Shen Zhichu and the hospital had deceived him, and she didn't have stomach cancer at all.

The inspection report in his hand was twisted into a ball by his force and soon became a piece of waste paper.
