☆46. Chapter 46: Eat what you need to replenish what you have

Chapter 46: What you eat will replenish your body

After Li Jingshen put down the box, Shen Zhichu had already started eating. He sat at the top seat and drank the pig's trotter soup mouthful by mouthful obediently.

On the contrary, Xia Mingyue sat at the bottom, with her head lowered and her hands resting on her knees uncomfortably, as if she had been bullied. Both bowls in front of her were filled with rice.

Seeing Li Jingshen, Xia Mingyue's dark and hazy eyes flashed with light: "Jingshen, it's time to eat."

Li Jingshen nodded and sat down next to Xia Mingyue naturally. He picked up his chopsticks and looked at the spicy dishes on the table, not knowing which dish to pick. He frowned at Shen Zhichu who was eating with relish, suspecting that this woman did it on purpose.

There was not a single dish on the table that he liked.

Besides... Chen Zhichu had a bad stomach, and the doctor usually told her to eat less oily and spicy food, but she didn't miss any of them.

Xia Mingyue was not concentrating on eating. While she lowered her head to eat, she glanced at Shen Zhichu out of the corner of her eyes, gloating over his misfortune.

You know, Li Jingshen is very picky about food. None of the dishes on Shen Zhichu's table are to his liking. It seems that he doesn't understand him at all.

Li Jingshen's face was gloomy, a sign of anger. "Have you forgotten all the doctor's orders? Can your stomach handle this?"

As soon as he finished speaking, not only Xia Mingyue but also Shen Zhichu was a little surprised. They thought that Li Jingshen would be furious and scold her for cooking dishes that were not to his taste, but they didn't expect that the first thing he said was that he was worried that her stomach couldn't eat it.

Shen Zhichu put down his chopsticks and smiled meaningfully: "Why should I cook if I can't eat it?"

As she spoke, she warmly greeted Xia Mingyue, pointing to a plate of pig liver in front of her and said, "Miss Xia, have some too. To celebrate your move in, I made this stir-fried pig liver especially for you. It's good for your blood, as you're prone to anemia. This is perfect for you. I'll buy some pig and duck blood to make soup for you every day."

Xia Mingyue's face stiffened slightly, and she bit her lower lip with an unpleasant look on her face.

Shen Zhichu reached out and moved the fried pork kidney in front of him to Li Jingshen, smiling: "Pork kidney, wherever you eat it, you will get enough nourishment."

It seems to be flattering on the surface, but it is actually full of innuendo.

Xia Mingyue clenched her fingers slightly and whispered, "Ms. Chen, I know you don't want me to move in... but you don't have to cook the food so disgustingly."

Shen Zhichu smiled and asked her, "What have I become?"

Xia Mingyue pointed at the dishes in front of her: "These dishes are greasy and smell very strong. I don't mind it, but..."

Shen Zhichu looked at her quietly, waiting for her to finish what she was going to say.

Xia Mingyue hesitated for a moment, then explained in a gentle voice, "It's just that Jing Shen doesn't like to eat it. He likes it lighter, and he tries not to put coriander in the dishes. He also doesn't like offal, let alone pig's feet. If Miss Shen needs it, I can write a list of Jing Shen's likes and dislikes."

The latter part of the story still had a bit of a show-off taste. The smile on the corner of Shen Zhichu's mouth deepened, and he asked in a slow voice: "So Miss Xia means that what I cooked today is not to your taste?"

Xia Mingyue nodded and said "hmm".

"I understand." Chen Zhichu just smiled after hearing this. After serving himself a bowl of pig's trotter soup, he took a plate of dishes in one hand and poured it into the trash can. His movements were quick and efficient, and soon all the dishes on the table were gone.

There was oil on his fingertips. Shen Zhichu pulled out a napkin and slowly wiped his slender fingers with elegant movements, looking down at Xia Mingyue's pale little face condescendingly.

"Since what I cook doesn't suit your taste, please cook it yourself. I believe Miss Xia can prepare a meal that suits Li Jingshen's taste."
