As she finished speaking, Qi Shen looked leisurely at Fang Zhi.
Fang Zhi, who was standing next to him, was taken aback by his gaze.
Why is her brother looking at her like this? Does he want her to pay the bill? The thought had barely crossed her mind when Fang Zhi really wanted to find an excuse to slip away.
"Zhizhi."
A deep, gentle voice rang out.
Fang Zhi forced a smile and asked, "Hmm?"
“I’ve given Zhizhi many gifts.” Qi Shen’s handsome features were softened by a smile, his voice calm and gentle, yet seemingly meaningful. “But I haven’t received a gift from Zhizhi in a long time.”
She felt she hadn't made a mistake; he did indeed want her to pay the bill.
Fang Zhi blinked his eyes, clasped his hands together, and looked like a deer that had run out of the forest, bewildered and at a loss.
The shop assistant, quick to understand Qi Shen's intentions, insisted that they couldn't let go of the large order that was almost ready to be cooked.
She smiled and teased the pure and beautiful young woman, "Miss, it's a little fun for couples to exchange gifts. Look, your boyfriend is looking at you expectantly."
Fang Zhi: "..."
She couldn't tell whether her brother was looking forward to it or not.
But the only thing she was sure of was... Fang Zhi slowly leaned closer to Qi Shen and whispered, "Brother, you know..." She had no money.
Qi Shen slowly said "Oh," as if he had just realized something, and then said lightly, "I forgot that Zhizhi didn't bring any money. Why don't you pay first, and Zhizhi can pay you back when we get back?"
Seeing that the shop assistants were all looking in their direction, Fang Zhi blushed and nodded as if she were being forced into it.
A smile appeared in Qi Shen's eyes as he took out a bank card from his wallet and handed it to the cashier. "Swipe the card."
After they paid, the staff personally saw the good-looking couple off, and when they returned, other staff members surrounded them.
"What's up with those two customers? Why do they have to stand at the counter for so long to pay?"
"Who understands the world of the rich?"
“That man looks familiar. I think I’ve seen him in a financial report before. He looks like the president of SQ.”
"Good-looking people all look alike, right? If he were the president of SQ, would he personally go shopping? The president of SQ is on the same level as our CEO Cheng, have you ever seen CEO Cheng shopping here?"
"Yeah, that man is really handsome, and that girl is pretty too, though she doesn't look very old. Aren't they a couple? Why are they calling each other 'brother'?"
"It's just their personal taste."
