Chapter 107 The silly turtledove outside is still in the dark.

Fang Zhi, who had heard Qi Chen's words clearly, softened her breathing and silently glanced at the two brothers.

One remained expressionless, a faint smile playing on his lips—those who knew him well knew this was a prelude to his scheming; the other was completely unaware, oblivious, and continued to introduce the brand's target customer group.

"The founders of these individuals have all posted on social media platforms that they focus on youth culture, and their creative concepts are trendy and bold..."

Fang Zhi looked at the incessantly talking Qi Chen, then hesitated to speak.

Should she persuade him not to tell? How should she do that?

What if I get myself involved again?

I felt a little guilty if I didn't try to persuade him, and it seemed like my brother wasn't planning to let things go.

It took a short while before I realized I had made a decision.

She pressed her hand to her nose, lowered her head, her soft black hair obscuring her fair face, and coughed repeatedly.

They sensed that someone was looking at them.

She looked up, but the person she wanted to remind was so engrossed in speaking that they weren't looking at her at all.

Fang Zhi: "..."

Most importantly, it attracted Qi Shen's attention.

The man glanced at her coldly, and Fang Zhi obediently put her hands down, put them behind her back, and stood obediently.

Qi Shen asked gently, "Are you feeling unwell?"

"No." Fang Zhi met his dark eyes and explained softly, "It's just... my throat was a little itchy just now."

Whether the man believed her or not, he gave her a casual "hmm" before turning his head. Qi Shen's ambiguous look at her at the end made Fang Zhi feel incredibly nervous.

She slowly lowered her head and stared at the tips of her shoes, no longer glancing at the two men with the slightest bit of her peripheral vision.

But Qi Chen's disdain kept floating into her ears, impossible to ignore.

The reason why the older brother and uncle don't talk much is that their voices are all in the mouth of the younger brother (son).

However, even a clay Bodhisattva crossing the river can hardly save itself.

She tried to remind Qi Chen to say less, and she did her best. In addition, she offended him by talking about her brother.

Fang Zhi put aside her desire to help Qi Chen again and silently prayed for him: May he have good fortune.

"Listen to me, return it. Or you can keep it for me to wear, we're about the same size." Qi Chen laid out a long and detailed explanation before finally revealing his true purpose: "Let your sister-in-law buy you something else."

After all, he only brought his passport and ID card back to China for convenience, and didn't bring any clothes or anything else.

He can make do with what's readily available right now.

The way he called her "sister-in-law" came out so naturally that Qi Shen's eyes flickered slightly; he finally looked at his younger brother a little more favorably.

"Are you done talking?" he asked in a calm voice.

Qi Chen nodded. "I'm done." A chill ran down his spine. He rubbed his arms and muttered under his breath, "Is it just the change in environment? It feels pretty cold in the summer back home."

Qi Shen didn't say anything more. He turned around, looked down at the girl who was pretending nothing had happened and smiled faintly:

"Zhizhi, have you thought about what to say?"

Fang Zhi, who thought she was out of the picture, lowered her head even further when she was suddenly called out. Praise could be considered a form of sweet talk, so perhaps she should have just complimented him on his youth.

Fang Zhi's voice rang in his throat, "I've thought it through."

"Okay, I'll wait."

He took her hand and walked towards the villa entrance.

"Brother?" Qi Chen, who had been left standing there, scratched his head and followed closely behind them. "Are you going to give me the clothes or not? Say something!"

The man didn't turn around; his deep, magnetic voice drifted slowly from the air, gradually reaching people's ears.

“The situation in China is different from abroad. Now that you’re back, you should rein in your arrogant behavior as a spoiled brat. To avoid causing trouble, I will explain this to your father and mother later. From now on, I will be responsible for your life and discipline.”

Qi Chen put the matter of the clothes out of his mind and was about to jump into the trap the man had dug.

Not only that, but her tone was also filled with undisguised joy, "Brother, does what you're saying mean I can stay here with you?"

His father meant that if his brother didn't interfere, he should stay in Beijing with his father for a while.

But he wasn't too keen on it.

Visiting the elderly is fine, but if he actually stays in Beijing, he'll be dealing with the entire Qi family. He grew up abroad and doesn't have a deep relationship with his uncles, aunts, cousins, or anything like that; he's not even familiar with them. Just thinking about it makes his head spin. It's better not to go and just stay with his brother.

As they entered the villa, the nanny greeted them and took the shopping bags from the man's hands. Qi Shenteng turned back, his fingers slightly bent as he adjusted his glasses, his handsome face calm and composed. "Yes."

Qi Chen didn't live with his brother and couldn't understand the meaning behind the man's words; he was only focused on being happy.

Having long seen through the true nature of men, Fang Zhi silently changed into slippers. Is this something to be happy about?

Didn't he hear the rules his brother mentioned?

After changing her shoes, Fang Zhi gave the boy a complicated look, thinking, "He's really carefree."

Although I don't know exactly how my brother treated Qi Chen, there will always be a day when he regrets it.

Noticing Fang Zhi's strange gaze, Qi Chen lifted his eyelids to look back. He hadn't looked closely from outside, but now that he was inside, he realized that his sister-in-law was far too young.

Although I knew they were about the same age, the girl in the long dress had a clean and delicate face.

Especially when compared to the mature and composed man next to her, he would believe her if she said she was a high school student.

"Sister-in-law, is there something on my face?"

After speaking, he touched his face.

When faced with someone her own age calling her "sister-in-law," Fang Zhi felt strange, but because her brother was there, she simply said, "No."

Qi Chen said "Oh," and then turned his attention back to his older brother. "Brother, I'm back now. We should get a car so it'll be easier to go out."
