Qi Shen's Adam's apple bobbed, and his hand, hanging by his side, clenched. But today wasn't the time. He'd just disciplined her; the little girl was probably feeling wronged right now.
"Zhizhi, rest for a while, and wait for the medicine to dry before moving again." The man's deep voice carried a hint of hoarseness and desire.
"I understand," Fang Zhi said in a muffled voice. Without even looking up, she could feel his intense gaze.
"Hmm." Qi Shen chuckled softly. "Brother hopes Zhizhi will remember this punishment." After saying that, he turned and went to the washroom to remove the remaining medicine from his hands.
Hearing his footsteps as he left, Fang Zhicai barely managed to lift her head from under the covers. She couldn't bear to think about how she looked. She tried to remove the fabric hanging from her feet, but even the slightest movement caused her bottom to ache.
Having been pampered by her brother for so many years, her body was no longer suited to physical pain, and Fang Zhi, still in a bad mood, buried her head back into the blankets and pretended to be dead.
Water was still dripping from his long, clean fingertips. After Qi Shen came out, his dark, deep eyes fell on the motionless little figure on the bed. "You don't need to go to class this afternoon."
"Why?" Upon hearing this, Fang Zhi reflexively looked up at the tall, upright man standing at the bathroom door.
"Do you think you can go in your current condition? Don't forget you have a PE class today. Are you planning to run in front of everyone while holding onto the sore spot?" Qi Shen raised an eyebrow, his gaze moving meaningfully from her face to behind her. "You can even take leave to avoid your brother, so what's a little extra class this afternoon?"
Fang Zhi: "..." She felt that her brother was speaking in a sarcastic tone.
Without giving the girl a chance to speak, Qi Shen made the final decision, "I'm going to the company. You rest at home today, and I'll have the driver take you to school tomorrow."
